stayed at GS 5 for 5 nights, it is very good place to stay, free internet, clean, staff are very nice i will stay there for my next visit

I found Golden Sands is really comfortable & given me the worth iam paid for. Golden Sands is my first prefrence of stay in Dubai especially if iam travelling with my family

Enjoyable time in DubaiHotel apartments were close to shops and eating places. Room was spacious and well equipped with kitchen and washing machine/dryer. No problems encountered and above our expectations especially at the price.

When I travel from Afghanistan to US I normally have a long layover between flights. I stay at the Golden Sands to relax while waiting. It really makes a difference!

Service charges are separately, so when you made check out - you will surprise big bill for service charges (everyday cleaning room)

you dont get wireless internet in the room though i think its a must now for business travelers. else it was ok. nothing special. i stayed in golden sands 5 . they need to upgrade their furniture.

Golden memories made at Golden sandsAccommodation better than expected, very happy with size of room and facilities, wash.machine, iron board/iron, large fridge, air con. Overall a very nice apartment block with the added bonus of rooftop swimming pool at Golden Sands 5. The only thing disappointed about was that we were not told about the daily service charge, which was added to our bill.

Great rooms when travelling with kids -separate bedroom to the kids and the kitchen had all the facilities which we needed with a baby! And rooms were quiet as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We rented a two bedroom apartment. The lounge and bedrooms were spacious and had good quality furniture. Kitchen was also spacious but crockery was a little short and also lacked a toaster. There seemed to be a curious shortage of hair dryers which were loaned on request. The bathrooms will need refurbishing soon and the ensuite was unneccessarily cramped. Location was pretty good though but there are over 10 Golden Sands blocks and you should find out which one you're booked in before arriving. This depends on size of apartment.

value for moneyThere are about 12 Golden Sands buildings together so when booking make sure you get the right building number (very difficult for taxi driver).Room and restaurant was excellent.

Not only a good place to stay and save some $ you also can save buying your own food at this great gourmet supermarket nearby SPINNEYS(we only see happy ex-pats around shopping) In your apart/hotel you have a nice and clean kitchen with all the aplicances needed for a good fast food. I definitely would recommend this place for a budge travel like me...because I am already considering go for my next trip far away in this planet. Ciao !!!!

The front desk was very helpful when we got into Dubai at 6 am in the morning. They got us a room within an hour or so and my family ( 2 kids in tow) was able to get our much needed sleep after the overnight flight. They were very kind. Very helpful when it came to the washing machine and dryers not working. They do need to look at replacing their dryer....our clothes were still wet after we put them in the dryer. The aircon was either too cold or not cold...the thermostat may be a problem. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable stay...thank you.

Hotels in Dubai are very expensive, so this was good value, however I would it rate as 3 star not 4 star. It suited us as we were travelling with 2 children, so having an apartment with cooking facilities gave us more choices - especially as we arrived at 4 a.m. and jet-lagged! One comment to make is that there are multiple Golden Sands Hotel Apartments - we were in number 3 of 10. This was not stated on the confirmation, so took a bit of driving around in the taxi before we found the right one.

Great Value HotelThanks for a great quality and comfortable stay....and for letting us check in so early! A bit of a walk into town (20 mins) but there's lots to see and take in on the way, or the buses are easy to catch. Good location for the open top bus stop and free internet! Good bars in nerby hotels as well.

I and two college students spent 17 nights at Golden Sands for a study-abroad class. Golden Sands offered great value at a reasonable price. Major pluses were full kitchen and clothes washing machine in the room, helpful staff, great tourism office on site, car rental on site and friendly staff. City taxis at reasonable cost were readily available. We saw all the fabulous malls in Dubai, took a great dhow cruise, took an incredible desert safari, took a wonderful tour to Abu Dhabi to see the stunning new Sheik Zayed Mosque, toured the Jumeriah Palm Island and much more. The hotel is convenient to the new Dubai Mall with 400+ stores and a spectacular water show in front of the Burj Tower, the tallest in the world. We took city taxis all over Dubai and Sharjah for 17 days at a very reasonable cost! Avoid the white private taxis right outside the hotel which are overpriced. We walked about 25 feet to the corner to catch a city taxi. If you can fly into Dubai on Emirates Airlines do so; service is wonderful, food is good and entertainment system is second to none. There are two Spinney's groceries a few blocks away, but the Grand Grocery, less than one block, is fine for most needs. Dubai is an incredible destination you should not miss.

Our only criticism was when requested a hairdryer (as outlined in the hotel facilities section) non turned up.Not a good service for a lady waiting to go out.
