We got there earlier but then the receptionist gladly help us to get an early check in. Overall we're satisfied with the hotel's room, service, and location was absolutely great! However, need a serious attention about the window's room at smoking floor (19th). Better if it has some kind of safety net, or the window shouldn't be that wide open, as it could be dangerous for family with kids. Would love to stay there again.

The room was fairly nice and the staff was mostly helpful, and while the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner it wasn't too bad really. But the breakfast buffet was pretty horrible, not much selection, and what was there was slightly burnt, or barely cooked. Not to mention that, especially in a hotel w/ things like marble wall tile, slightly sticky plastic tablecloths is just tacky... you'd probably be better off walking to the McDonald's down the road.

It was located in a convenient location, right in the heart of the Malay village and close to the MRT and Bugis Junction. The room was dirty and bug-infested. The carpet was stained, and the bathroom lights took forever to light. The hotel is an efficient and cheap option for those who have low expectations. For those who are seeking a comfortable place away from home, this is not what you are looking for. The room was stained in many places; there were bugs in the room. The TV is cheap. The staff are unfriendly.

A great place to stay. Within walking distance of shopping & food outlets. Easy access to MRT. Staff very helpful with tour bookings and transport. Good value for money

Be careful when requesting type of beds - make sure that you ask for king-size bed else you will end up with 2 single beds. To the hotel's credit, they moved us into a nicer room the next day.

Near the MRT but old hotel and for the price you could get a nice place.

In the heart of downtown Signapore we found very friendly staff, many services troughout the building (tour agency, restaurant and other casual dining, retail, close to hospital and shopping venues, short ride from the airport, minutes away from the Signapore Flyer and the Cruise Ship Port) We will definately stay there on our next trip. We had a red eye flight from Beijing to Signapore and arrived at the hotel at 7:00 AM. We asked if there was any way we could check in to the room as soon as it was available and we were given a friendly "YES, your room is all ready". We were immediately taken to our room which had all amenities ready for us.

Near to MRT, calm place, clean and good. Hotel did not give booked room type. I booked for King type room but they did not give the same room. Instead they put two twin beds together and could not sleep well.

The executive lounge needs urgent upgrading and the B/F is poor. The room I used last time had a small and dark bathroom. The hotel has good rooms, but the overall state of the hotel is below of what the rate suggests.

Have stayed at the hotel a number of times and have found it keeps to an excellent standard every time. Staff are efficient, friendly and always assist even before being asked. Couldn't be better.

Travelled with 5yr old twins and wre pleasantly suprised with the ample space in the room! Room facilities good but service needs improvement. Excellent Reception staff - courteous and friendly.

Enjoyed staying there but was disappointed as we didn't get rooms next to each other and had smoking rooms which caused us a lot of problems as we asked no smoking rooms.

Very convenient to Arab and India streets and the MRT - a good value. The hotel recommended airport van but came late - driver overslept! A very interesting location. The hotel is located in the Arab Street Area of Singapore and is very near Buguis Street and it's associated MRT stop. The MRT enables you to conveniently travel to the Orchard Street shopping area, as well as, other parts of this clean and well planned Far-east City State. The staff was very helpful in accommodating our two teenagers in what are basically moderate to slightly small size rooms. We finally were able to obtain a king size bed and paid extra for a cot. If you plan to squeeze more than 2 people into a room, they will most likely provide you two single beds or if you are real lucky, 1 king bed. The only real negative was that the hotel recommended Airport Van Service - needed if you have lots of luggage and don't rent 2 cabs - ended up showing up late for a 4 AM pickup, despite the extra charge - The driver ended up sleeping late, so we got a rocket ride to the airport that left little time to spare! There is also a small mall attached to the hotel, albeit not fancy like many other Singapore Malls, it is convenient and will meet many of your needs unless you are looking for a high end Hermes, Cartier type brand store, which are the norm on Orchard. Overall, a very nice hotel in an interesting area filled with small shops and ethnic eating establishments. Recommended if you don't need the immediate glitz of Orchard with its associated high prices!

My room had a view which was nice for a mid range priced hotel in Singapore and bed very comfortable. I especially liked the pool area as I always look for this when breaking a long haul flight to Europe or return to Australia. (Pool large enough to do laps). Great for sitting near for breakfast also. Position close to arab quarter with some great food finds and a 30 min walk to Orchard road shops etc. Quite a central location with a bit of a difference. Getting a taxi to the airport after a huge rainstorm through the hotel was not so easy however and staff did not seem to want to help. Eventally one arrived in spite of their extreme disinterest. I would diefinitely return there even so. Price with rates to go discount extremely good value.Close to all interesting districts and you can walk to train if you want to go that way to airport.

Better give some more towels. Only one is not good enough.

I liked the location, both for transportation as well as sightseeing. At check in time the front desk staff was not as friendly as I encountered in other hotels during my trip. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Should I travel to there again I would stay at the Golden Landmark Hotel.
