prior to this trip we stayed at the Palace Resorts, which are exemplary. This was a down grade. The hotel was very clean, but the food was only medeocre. The one place that was way up on our scale was Salvadores it was exquisite and the staff was wonderful.

We just stayed 4 nights but enjoyed the relaxing environment. The crowd and pool area were fun and reminded me of spring break for 50 year olds with pool volleyball and rum drinks. Good points: nice food quality, dining experience. The regular restaurant is great for breakfast and they provide whatever you ask for. Pool is warm and lounge chairs are nice. Room was very nice with ocean view, good staff. Down side: Decline the "timeshare pitch" as it wastes 2 hours - unless you like that. The Beach area is beautiful, but there are NON STOP vendors every 1-2 minutes selling stuff. It all costs $5-$30 and no one has a wad of cash at the beach. I could not relax at the beach due to the tons of vendors coming by all day. One kind of beer only. (no Bud!) All in all - a very nice place and location. Without vendors and time share pitch it would be a 10.

The vendors that are NOT to be in the beach area ARE and they will drive you insane selling their garbage. Even when you are trying to eat in peace at the outside bar. VERY aggravating!!! The resort is nice, quite and well kept up.

We stayed here with a group that chose this destination and resort. We enjoy travel and food and fun. Unfortunately for this resort, the food was average at best. The all inclusive licquor was only average. You are limited on your drinks in your room to a per day amount. Everybody wants to sell you a timeshare, even the help desk at the resort. Vendors of all kinds are asking you to buy things every 30 seconds that you are on the beach. One couple that we were with on this trip had the honeymoon suite and it took the hotel staff 4 days to get them a cold bottle of champagne that was suppose to be their on arrival. Half of the staff was courteous, but a lot of the staff at the resort seemed to be put out by you even being there, but everybody is still looking to get get tipped for anything and everything. If you only want to sit at the pool bar and consume average alcohol, this is an o.k. place to go to. If you want good service, good food, and fun activities, keep looking. I would not recommend staying at this resort. If it weren't for the few activities that we found to do off the resort we may have tried to come home early.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel. Everyone was very helpful from the moment we stepped out of the cab. They have 3 on-site restaraunts which were all good and offered different menus and have 24 hour room service! While laying on the beach one of the bar tenders was constantly bringing us fresh drinks and things to eat like nachos, sandwiches and sushi. Absolutely no complaints about any of the food or drinks. We stayed in an Ocean Front room which was perfect. Spacious room with a very large bathroom and plenty of closet and drawer space for all your clothes, shoes and luggage. The view from our room was awesome. Right above the beach bar, cabannas, and ocean. The hotel is located right down from the marina so we got to see the pirate ship take off and return every night as well as the Mexican Navy fleet return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

This was our 3rd. trip, and each one is better than the last..The staff is what makes this a great resort. The food is wonderful for an all inclusive, and the drinks are always top shelf. Room service was on time and hot. All the rooms face the bay and pool area. Try to book your room higherup, as the view gets better of the bay and the city. Going to Puerto Vallarta is wonderful--staying at the GCP makes it great. we are already planning our next trip to PV and the GCP.

The hotel has the best five star resturants in the world located at the resort. You would expect to pay $300.00 for the type of food we ate and it was all included in our package! We ate, drank, ate, drank and only had to pay a gratuity! This is the best vacation spot ever for the price of the all inclusive. We have been 8 times in 12 years and it gets better each time we go!

We have stayed here for three years in a row. We savor our trips here; the staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is quite good for an all-inclusive. The gym is average, but the two clay tennis courts are wonderful and a teaching pro whom we always enjoy. The resort is close to bus transportation if you wish to visit downtown, but we love just hanging around the resort to enjoy the gym, tennis, and friendly staff. The staff in the restaurant specializes in "Sexy Coffee" and always greets you with a smile and warm welcome. The staff can make or break a resort, and the hotel has had the same faces for the years that we have visited and we always feel welcome and relaxed. The companion resort next door allows children and the adults at this hotel can visit either resort and their respective restaurants - lots of variety and good choices. We have stayed at other all inclusives in PVR, but keep coming back here.

My wife and I spent 1 week here for our honeymoon. The resort was excellent. The beaches were clean and well maintained. Golden Crown has the best beach chairs of all the resorts. Breakfast at The Breeze was the perfect start to the day. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food left a little to be desired, but I would give it a 'B'. Be sure to get your reservations in for dinner early in the day as they book fairly quickly. The rooms are spacious and clean. You won't be disappointed.

There were two couples. Front desk very good. Good value for money. Went to town for dinner most nights, which was fun and inexpensive. Everything was good except enertainment staff would not allow us to move any of the shaded umbrella to make our pool experience better. Too many vendors on property and at beach.

We were really excited to be delivered a drink as we were checking in, but after that we had to beg for service! We paid extra for a jacuzzi on our balcony but not worth it! It was full of sand and cobwebs. Food was very unimpressive, they made it all sound so great but we were not impressed at all...even the deserts were pretty blah. You had to sit at the bar for at least 5 minutes before you could get a drink-and there weren't even other customers, we even tipped every time but it did not improve service with any of the bartenders at all. Stay away from information desk all they want to do is sign you up for the time share presentation. If you want to relax go to the pool because the beach is full of peddlers and one tries to show you something at least every 2-3 minutes.

We had a great time liked the location. we've done a few all inclusive this was the best food hands down to date no buffets all off menu that changed daily. Staff very friendly maybe a little under staffed compared to some of the other places we've been but not a big problem would do it again

I really enjoyed the hotel. It was quiet, relaxing and peaceful, with more than enough amenities to choose from. The spa was EXCELENTE!!!!! And the staff, were warm and accomodating. They really make you feel at home. I loved every bit of my stay there. I look forward to returning very soon.

Never been to Mexico before, and our expectations were low based on some of the feedback in the review area. We were pleasently surprised by how easy it was to take full avantage of the all-inclusive nature of the resort. Staff was friendly, free shows/nightclub was decent, food was decent, and the FREE city/countryside tour was great. Puerto Vallarta seemed like a nice little town. Overall value was excellent. We will definately return with our kids in the adjacent resort.

My wife and I just got back from a week stay at the Golden Crown Paradise. We found the staff friendly, the drinks were top shelf, the rooms were clean, and neat, just never knew when room service would show up. I would give this hotel a 5 star rating except for the food. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, but not great. I was glad that we could use the Paradise hotel next door. They had a omlette bar in the morning, which we used everyday. We also ate dinner at there Italian Rest. Overall we had a wonderful/relaxing vacation. Plan on going back next Feb.

The Golden Crown Paradise Puerto Vallarta was a great place to stay. The location was perfect for us - close to the airport and downtown - and on the beach. The room and bathroom were large enough for us and the view from the balcony was wonderful. As others have stated, the bed was very firm as were the pillows. Our rooms was always thoroughly cleaned - even the balcony! The staff was friendly and courteous. Upon check-in, you were greeted with cool, scented towels and a refreshing fruit punch. Beware, however, when you are invited back to the concierge desk to find out what you are entitled to - they want you to come to a sales presentations for time shares. I loved this place and would definitely go back.

Every day was a struggle with housekeeping. They would come early in the morning right after we left for breakfast and take all of our towels. They wouldn't make up our room or at the very least bring us clean towels for at least 6-7 hours. Almost every day when we came back to the room to shower and relax a little before supper we had to go back down to the lobby and wait for them to do our room. Twice i had to go looking for someone to give us towels because they didnt give us enough or the right ones. One day i had to go to the front desk to see if they could have our room made up. after an hour of them still not doing it i had to get a manager involved so we could get ready for dinner that night. Other than them it wasnt a bad place to be

This was a great place to get away for R and R. Good location-close to grocery store and flea market. The pool was very nice. They had a variety of activities (water aerobics, volleybal, etc). We didn't know it was rainy season so instead of blue, blue water we got brown. Only one major complaint-the bed. The bed was hard as a rock.
