A reasonable price with shuttle acccess to the strip in Las Vegas made this hotel a great value.

The room was much nicer than expected, I was upgraded so I could have a quite non smoking room. Too much tobacco smoke in public areas. I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms and it was quite nice, but lacked an in room safe for my lap top. I have worked in the hospitality industry so I look for more than most when staying at a hotel.

The hotel was fine. It was a good walk from the strip. But we had a car so that was ok. I wished that it offered shows of some sort. But all in all it was good. I would stay again. There is an TGIF on the main floor. So that was a plus. The rooms were good size. It was me and my bestfriend so the closet space was tight. We stayed in the standard room with 2 beds. Sort of wished we had a fridge and microwave so that we could reheat and store our leftovers. The room service was great. Our television went out and the service tech was at our door within minutes of calling downstairs. We had a good stay.

Check in was very fast and accommodating. Rooms are now showing their age and new owner isn't investing a lot as tell tale signs become evident. But, bedding and towels are very nice. Cleaning staff very friendly. They've closed the Monterey room cafe and sectioned off part of the buffet as as sit down cafe which we didn't try. They've also permanently closed the Italian restaurant much to our disappointment. It was wonderful. Best food we've had in years. But, let's focus on what is there. The Ports 'o Call buffet was as good as I remember from last year's convention and it was super. We're not gamblers so don't spend time on the strip or in the casino which didn't sound like it was paying at all this trip, I imagine those gamblers were sorry after being cleaned out. Cigarette smoke permeated most of the property. Even the non smoking floors, they need to rework their venting system. The room a/c was very effective but very noisy. Funny, they put them in two years ago. The price was right and the place was comfy so if your not on the strip this is a perfectly good property and the pros outweigh the cons. But the question is for how much longer until they do some much needed renno.

We stay at the Gold Coast when we attend buying shows at the Rio. The price is usually 1/3 the price of the Rio and we just cross the street to go to work. It is always clean and easy to get in and out. We checked in late (after the show ended). The young lady at the desk said she was giving us an up grade. The up grade was a 1,000 s.f. two bedroom suite with three bathrooms, a huge living room with a dining room, four flat panel TV's and a 4 person tub with jets. It was great. All for $64. Thanks Orbitz and thanks Gold Coast.

stayed over 5 days during spring break 09 and loved it would stay again, not a bad location free shuttle to the strip

Initially I was hesitant to stay here since it was off the strip and away from downtown. There hotel shuttle was great! It was easy to get back and forth to the strip. The hotel is also in walking distance of the Palms and Rio so there were other hotels to enjoy.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The room is good for the money. but you can tell that the hotel is scaling back - no comforter or spread on the bed. When you ask about it they tell you they don't do that any more. The buffet could use some work and the wait staff comes around for 1 refill of drinks and then cannot be found. Good location expecially during the holidays.

Fitness center had ample equipment and open until 10:00 pm. TGI Friday's in lobby was open until 3:00 am every night and saved my night 4 out of 5 nights.

It was our first time in LV, so the overall experiance was great! The hotel provided free shuttle to the LV strip so that was great! The hotel was good for the price, the staff was very nice, clean room, the only thing I did not like, was that we did not had a good view from the room. The first few floors are right behind the casino, so I would recommend if you are booking the trip, to call and specify you want to be at the higher level :-)

In all honesty, I was only looking for a hotel close to the Rio for a cheaper price. I am now a fan of the Gold Coast and recommend it to anyone. Yes, it is a little older and caters to the older crowd - mostly locals. But the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the price wonderful. The dealers and gaming staff were very personable and I enjoyed the lower minimums on the tables. You can also run across the street to the Rio to mix it up a bit and then come back over to the Gold Coast very easily. Great place to stay if you don't mind being just off the Strip. Highly recommend!

It was close to our meeting facility at the Palms. The room was directly above the loading dock. Probably won't go back, second floor room above the loading dock, beer trucks beeping at 6 AM.

Decent room, friendly staff. Cheap buffet prices also. Used the strip shuttle quite a bit to get places. Had a bathtub instead of a shower (thanks). Overall satisfied especially in view of the low package price. They have full pay video poker on some of the 25 cent machines also.

My wife, daughter and myself booked here for the great price we got on the travel website. We were a little worried about the reviews I read that the casino was Smokey and we would have to walk through it to get to our room. We did not think it was that smoky and just fine to walk through. We red a lot of reviews stating the bathrooms are small, this is correct, the shower and toilet area are small. The sink and vanity are in a separate area, which as nice; this made it seem a little less cramped. The room is nothing to write home about, but it is clean and the right price. This is a great hotel for the bargain hunter that wants a clean quiet place to stay.

I was very satisfied with the shuttle service provided between the hotel and the strip. The room was better than OK. The bathroom was OK but smallish. Generally, my son and I are very satisfied with the accomodation.

We just stopped one night, but will certainly come back. The Gold Coast has easy access, a very attentive staff, and great dining options including an excellent TGI Friday's open till 2am. Excellent parking (you can see the top deck from most rooms), and very close to the strip without being immersed in pedestrians & traffic. Rooms were very nice, and all seem to have good views. A very convenient place to stay, and easy to get around in.

I booked the room when travel website had a promo for 28 per night. I only got a 'run of the house room' but did manage to change into one with a king bed. Wouldn't say the best room you can get but it was clean and everything in the room works. Drain was slow and AC was a little noisy. However, you can't beat the value if you just need a room to stay for a couple of nights.
