A lovely relaxing break. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and quiet; the room was big enough, although I think we were in the smallest room because we booked late and they were full. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating (the hotel isn’t licensed but they’re more than happy to provide ice and glasses). The ‘Windermere Grill’ breakfast sets you up for the day! It’s perfectly situated about half way between Windermere and Bowness, neither being more than 15 minutes walk. Our son and his partner have just booked for a weekend break on the strength of our experience.

Did'nt like the fact you had to have additional heating in the bedroom and a fan heater in the breakfast room. Lacked homeliness

Glenville House was brilliant; excellent hospitality and wonderful breakfast. The tea tray in the room was the best we've ever had.

This B & B is excellent value. The breakfasts were superb, with a wide range of choice and always piping hot. TV reception needs to be improved, but there's plenty of things to do within easy walking distant.I heartily recomend this establishment especially for adult travellers.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay don't worry about choosing this place. I gave it some 5s - that shouldn't be taken to mean there was a problem in any of these areas. The breakfast was well cooked, well presented and the choice was huge. Worth going just for that.

Loved this place, our room was beautiful, the breakfast was great and it is only a 5/10min walk into Bowness. I had one of the best nights sleep ever and will definitely be coming back. If I had to find fault the only thing I could say is that the towels are pretty small, but that's just me being very picky!

An excellent place to stay in the Lakes, very easy for Windermere and Bowness. The bed was the most comfortable with extra pillows and cushions already there. Breakfast choices were wide ranging. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Peaceful at night. I would return any time.

Glenville House gave a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The rooms are well equipped with high quality furnishings and finish; plenty of storgae space for clothes etc. The rooms also give a high level of sound proofing from other rooms thus I had an excellent sleep each night. The breakfast menu was expansive, fantastic hot food and I never left the breakfast table feeling like I needed more. Also the cookies in our room were to die for. I would highly recommend this establishment and will be going again.

Hotel was easy to find, would generally have plenty of parking space but on this occasion due to work being done on the exterior, parking was limited.Breakfast was great, (proper sausages! ) and nicely cooked.Advertised as having a widescreen TV but it was only a small LCD screen and not particularly wide, channels were just the 4 terrestrial ones.A pleasant stay, ideally situated between Bowness and Windermere. We would stay again.
