Glenelg Beach Hostel provides quality Backpacker accommodation at Adelaide's premier beach. Centrally located in the fun Glenelg Beach area, we are only metres from the beach, many bars/pubs, great beachside nightlife, alfresco dining, restaurants, shops, 24 hr supermarket, a cinema and museums. Being very close to transport, a short tram ride takes you into the busy centre of Adelaide featuring the famous Central Markets, great bands and entertainment, museums and art galleries. We are also an ideal home base while you explore some of Adelaide's wineries, beaches and the outback.
We are situated in a Heritage building named Alexander Terrace which was built in 1878. We offer dormitory style accommodation and a range of private rooms. All bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds with quilts (no bunk beds). Free continental breakfast is included aswell as fresh pressed linen. We also have a kitchen, internet facilities, chillout DVD/plasma room or check out our newly refurbished lounge bar with drink specials, live music, Dj's and huge beergarden area to relax with a pint of Adelaide's favourite Coopers Pale Ale!

Transportation:
From Adelaide CBD catch the Glenely Tram. 20 min ride and we are 1min walk from the stop.
From Adelaide airport catch the J1 shuttle bus. A 15 min ride for a few dollars will drop you directly out the front of our backpackers.
Car Parking:
We are surrounded by lots of FREE off street car parking.
Attractions:
Explore the Barossa Valley Wineries in the Adelaide Hills, head down south to Hahndorf or Victor Harbour for some beautiful beaches and more wineries, treck over to Kangaroo Island, venture to the beautiful Flinders Ranges for wildlife & outback adventure or unwind locally with some great museums, cultural history, art galleries, Adelaide central markets, swim with the dolphins tour, shopping and Glenelg Beach.
