If travelling north on the A9, exit at the junction for Raigmore Hospital and follow signs for City Centre. This route will bring you alongside Inverness Town House (opposite McDonalds), stay in the left lane down the hill towards the river and turn left at the traffic lights before the bridge. Follow this road for about 100 metres then take the fork to the right, the Glen Mhor is on your left just after the church building.

WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR ONE NIGHT THE ROOMS WERE OK BUT COULD DO WITH A LITTLE MODERNISING BREAKFAST STAFF WERE AWFUL WE WAITED FROM 9.45AM TILL 10.15AM FOR BREAKFAST THEN WAS TOLD WE HAD TO WAIT EVEN LONGER FOR THE HAGGIS WHEN IT CAME WE HAD FINISHED OUR BREAKFAST NO TOP UP OF COFFEE OR TOAST A COMPLETE DISASTER.

we stayed at this hotel for one night rooms comfy but need abit updating the breakfast staff was terrible hardly even spoke to you we waited from 9.45am till 10.15am for breakfast to find they had no haggis cooked then when it DID arrive with it we had finished our breakfast. no top up of coffee or toast it was appauling paying that kind of money u expect more. complained to manager wish i think he was but didn't think he was very intrested. won't go back there in a hurry.

If you're coming to Inverness, you're likely coming for the same reasons we were: we were looking for a jumping-off point to the highlands and a nice quiet place to spend a few days. The Glen Mhor is great for both-- after filling up on breakfast (which is not to be missed, and should not be discounted in the daily room cost), it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the local train/bus station which can get you anywhere you want to go. On the river near a hotspot of restaurants, it's a good location for the last-minute dinner on the way home after a long day. With free Internet and large rooms (our double was one of the largest we stayed had in Scotland.) It's a good place to decamp and spend a few days.

Lovely spot, convenient for events in Inverness. very helpful , cheerful staff. Meals were good. Would recommend the weekly Trad Jaz Club, great atmosphere but get in early for a seat.

Good valueExcellent value for money, free wi-fi, I stay in Inverness fairly often on way north for 1 night and this is considerably better than the last place I tried, and cheaper. Nice riverside location.

Best breakfast of all the hotels we stayed at in Scotland. The room was great. The location by the river was exceptional. Overall this is a great place to stay for the money and I would go here again any time.

Nice place to stay in very convenient locationNice room and location (by the river but within an easy walk of the centre). Breakfast was good too. Only negative was that the room was still being cleaned when we arrived.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location was awesome and the people were very friendly. The room was had was a little small, but the bed was large and comfy and the furniture was nice. We had plenty of room for ourselves and luggage so it wasn't a deal at all. They had nice toiletries in the bathroom and everything was very clean. We would stay there again.

not what it looks like in photos, twin beds pushed togeather not a double as asked for reception very quick and good service, let down by bar service very slow had to go to reception twice to get service disapointed as it looks a real good hotel paid for room on arrivel then asked again when checking out breakfast service a let down standards not what you expect in a three star hotel

Hotel is well placed for touring a very scenic and historical part of Scotland with the world famous Loch Ness close by. Golfers and anglers are well catered for and all sorts of pursuitscan be found close at hand. Recommended.

Got what I paid forI stayed here one night whilst travelling through on business. The hotel is split between a main reception building and an annex- house next door. The hotel is very nicely decorated throughout and has some wonderful old Victirian style rooms facing onto the river - I have stayed in them before.This time I opted for the cheapest on the rack - a single with toilet and shower - not ensuite. Room was at thew top of the annexe, clean, small, very small TV, but fine for a one night stay on my own. The hotel is about five minutes walk along the river from the city centre. I did not try the restaurant or bar.

Great location, right by the river and near town centre. Lovely evening meal, and breakfast was very filling. Receptionist superb, she changed our room in minutes ( we required a room with a bath). All in all, a great little hotel, will return in the future.

Short break at The Glen Mhor, InvernessMy husband and I booked a two night stay at this hotel. On arrival the receptionist greeted us and we must say she was very friendly and helpful. We were allocated one of the newly refurbished rooms - very very nice, everything you need, plus an iron and ironing board. All the staff very pleasant. Food in Nico's was excellent. Only downside was the dated bar - which is very dark and the seating layout is not great. If the bar was refurbished to the same standard as the rooms, this hotel would have everything going for it. We have stayed in a few hotels in Inverness and we would certainly stay at the Glen Mhor again.

The rooms we stayed in were small and the location noisy (which is unusual for this town). We were disappointed with our breakfast.Television reception was terrible, one tv only had Channel 5 available

inverness stayWe thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Inverness - the only complaint would be that the room was a little crowded. I realize that the ensuite takes up quite some space from the original room size - but a smaller dresser and perhaps one less arm chair may make the space more usable for 2 people.

watch they dont throw you out!room was not the cleanest I have been in - dirty window ledges - carpet grubby, but the bed and shower area were fine. food at this hotel is fantastic and so was service for me - however - my 2 colleagues were put out of their accommodation a day early as they had double booked the hotel. even though they had already stayed a night they found their cases in reception the next day when they came back from a day at the office! they also had to share their bathroom with other people. you get what you pay for here.

our stay at the glen mhorwe arrived at 1400hrs as we said we would our room was not ready and we had to wait a fruther 2hrs before we could get into our room,when being shown to our room we discovered to my wife`s dismay we were taken outside to separate building which the hotel had bought over, once in we were taken to a small dark room stuck at the back of the building, the furniture looked liked it had been bought 2nd hand from a hotel sale the bed also left alot to be desired the matteress was very uncomfortable and well used. We were woken at 2300hrs by people coming into the buliding as we were outwith the main building of the hotel there was know staff and again my wife was unhappy about the lack of security in this building, we had to put a towel under the door as there was a huge gap and the light from outside shone under would i recommed this hotel to any of my friends the answer would have to be no i know it was a standard room but i did feel it was not worth the money we payed
