The Georgian Terrace Hotel Atlanta is an elegant getaway right in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

My wife, adult son, and I stayed 3 nights, 4 days, beginning the day after Christmas. We have stayed before, and we were as pleased on this visit as we had been previously. The traditional Christmas decor, the elegance of the atrium, the cordial and attentive door staff, valets, and bellmen harken back to days when service was king. Location? Directly across the street from the grand old Fox Theater, many restaurants within easy walk, mere blocks from access to I-75 and I-85, close to Georgia Tech, the Varsity Restaurant, and a block from a MARTA entrance - no better location comes to mind. There is a great bar, a quiet restaurant, full room service, a rooftop workout facility, free wifi everywhere, and rooms available with full kitchens to accommodate longer stays. I love the place, and will stay there whenever we are in Atlanta.

So I was on business? Being totally pampered at the Georgian Terrace Hotel made me feel like a southern belle. I didn't have the chance to open the front door a single time. Everyone greeted me with a smile and a friendly greeting. The hotel had old charm, modern convenience and a well trained cordial staff that was staight out of Gone With the Wind. Southern hospitality at it's best! Business? My stay seemed more like a vacation. I walked each morning, had a fresh room with little extras waiting upon my return. Across from the Fox Theather I could have enjoyed a play -- but opted for the quiet and comfort of my room. The architecture of the hotel was exquisite -- the best of the bygone world and the comfort of every modern convenience. Top 10 in my book.

I was surprised at the very small size of the "standard" room which had only the very bare minimum and nearly no place to move around. The wall paper in the bathroom showed flaws where evidently a cabinet was formerly installed but the holes from it were never covered up. Also the vinyl covering on the window sill was peeling off. The hotel itself is beautiful - I just wasn't probably given one of the better rooms since I stayed by myself. Also I was informed by the bell man, once I was in my room, that the "standard" room would not come with the promised (on the phone when I called) refrigerator and microwave oven.

It is a beautiful hotel steeped in history and elegance. It is located in Midtown Atlanta, close to the Fox Theater, Georgia Tech and great restaurants. The hotel was nearly booked, but was amazingly quiet. The amenities and staff were nice. TVs were older, but I was not there to watch TV. The sitting room is comfortable and convenient for me to read in while my spouse was sleeping.

The staff was great and the suite was nice - however, the dead bolt on the door did not work. The towel bar in the bathroom fell to the floor at first use. Most of the light switches did not turn on a light and there was no working light in the kitchen. There were quite a few rooms under going rennovation near us - dry wall dust everywhere.

This "hotel" is not only MISREPRESENTED but also MISMANGED: a) The ONLY option for parking is 25.00 valet, the site says self-parking is available but according to the parking booth attendent you can park yourself @ 22.00 but cannot leave without repaying. b) Service is sloooooooow!!!! so is the elevator. c) Parts of the hotel are unremodeled (and not a cute vintage way more like a brothel in a bad part of town). We literally crossed a thresold from nice hotel to old, dirty carpet and very small room d) No attempt was made to satisfy our complaints, I waited on the phone for 45 mins. A truly disappointing experience for a night I was so looking forward to.

The Georgian Terrace Hotel is truly magnificent. Huge rooms, great front desk service, valet service, and all the "extras". The first HOTEL I've stayed that had a washer & dryer right in the room with us. Great place to stay when visiting the FOX since it is directly across the street... truly walk out front door of hotel and into the front of the Fox Theatre. Our stay allowed us to walk to and from the Emory Crawford Long Hospital which was the purpose of this trip, but would readily come back to stay again.

Right across from the Fox Theater, the room has a kitchenette, has free wireless, but watch out if you have a car as there is nowhere to park and valet is $25.

I had a great room on the 12 floor and it was amazing. I didnt realize how big the room would be. Customer service from front desk was a little lacking maybe it was due to the holiday but it was hard to reach front desk. Parking was an absolute nightmare. If you stay here make other arrangements to park your car. 22 dollars for overnight self park with NO in and out priviliges and 25 overnight valet service. That is HIGHWAY robery. Parking across the street at the Fox was like 6 or 10 dollars for the day.

The location and the feel of the hotel were great. It was definitely a 3 star and I was happy with the price. The staff was not very friendly at the hotel restaurant so that put a bad taste in my mouth. The rooms were very spacious.

While I waited to check in I observed the hotel lobby and took in the beautiful site. The architecture of the building was amazing and it was something to appreciate. It was well decorated for the season, with the huge Christmas tree and festive music playing all around. I stayed in a two bedroom suite (compliments for the front desk) and the veiw was great. The rooms were clean and the comforters were very inticing (as well as comfortable) on both beds. I loved the full kitchen and everything about the suite. My biggest problem was that the bath towels were not very clean. I found strands of long hair on 3 separate sets of towels. Other than that I was pleased with my short stay.

The staff of the Georgian Terrace Hotel Atlanta was very friendly. The rooms were nice and the location was fabulous. Right across the from Fox Theatre and in the heart of mid-town is a great place to be.

Stayed for two nights in the 2 bedroom suite in November 2008 for around $* per night. The room was one of the worst rooms I have ever been and I travel a lot. The suite it seems used to be an apartment in the 1970s or 80s and the kitchen was old and falling apart. The carpets had stains, the guest bathroom ceiling was full of mold and falling down. The living room ceiling had mold growing up the walls and the windows would not shut all the way and it was freezing outside. The TV was old and small, couch and furnishing very cheap. The view was not too bad but this room room should not have been a penny over $* per night. There are some nice rooms at the Georgian Terrace Hotel Atlanta but this was the most expensive one and was worst than a cheap apartment...beware! Also, if you have health problems because of mold stay away from this place. The location of the hotel is great and the lobby is nice.

Historical site adds to the charm of the hotel. My room was awkwardly shaped but other than that, everything met my expectations.

This is my first time EVER writing a review for an online travel website hotel package. The hotel was very gracious and clean. The front desk personnel were very friendly. When I arrived late Wednesday night my original room was sold out. The desk clerk informed me that I had paid for a VERY SMALL room, but since it was sold out he would give me a SUITE for the same price. The suite was GORGEOUS! It had a full kitchen, with a living room, a LARGE KING SIZE BED, a washer/dryer and a nice bathroom. The only weird part was the shower which had a drop down knob underneath the nozzle. It took me a while to figure it out. Reading is fundamental. Had I looked on the shower wall I would have saw the instructions. I had free internet. Breakfast was delicious. The Georgian Terrace Hotel Atlanta is right in walking distance of the Marta and Gladys Chicken and Waffles. I will definitely stay here again, especially if I can get a suite instead of the small room.

The hotel itself was beautiful, but the room that they put us in was really small, definitely did not meet the expectations of a 3 star hotel. They moved us to a bigger room that was amazing.

Right across the street from the Fox Theater and a roof top (no chlorine) pool. The room was as they said petite but nothing else was.

Everything about my stay was a disappointment, except the price. The first room was a tiny corner room. It had no internet. After troubleshooting with the hotel's service provider for an hour, they ultimately concluded it was a hotel issue and to call the hotel engineer. Ultimately I had to change rooms. Second room was a converted closet. No lie. The room next to it was still in use as one! This meant that the next morning there was nonstop door slamming for an early morning wake up call. This room did have internet, it just took a while to find the wire connection conveniently located behind the headboard of the bed. My hope for a relaxing shower were dashed--no hot water. I couldn't even have a soothing cocktail. There were no glasses, just plastic cups (which I didn't think were used by 3-star hotels). Next morning, still no hot water! Complained to front desk and asked if I was doing it correctly! Huge hassles and long delays with the valet as they don't accept calls to bring cars around in advance. Invited a flight attendant friend over to confirm that I wasn't over-reacting. Confirmed that this was not close to a 3-star property. On check-out I informed the disinterested clerk of the cumulative problems with my experience. Was told that that were remodeling--including new mattresses and drapes. None of my rooms were remodeled. This may have been a grand hotel once but they have let it slide into the sloppy category.
