friendly and WelcomingWe wanted somewhere agreeable to stay in Haslemere to be near younger members of our family for some of the time but also to celebrate an anniversary for us. This was just right.

Excellent accomodation in a very nice town, although it's the first time I have been asked to pay in full on checking in to the hotel ! I felt this was questioning my integrity.

Needs a few improvements.Interesting old building. Beautiful rural setting. Friendly staff. Small things need attention and would greatly improve comfort of guests. There was no hairdrier in room and only one towel provided. No bath mat so wooden floor in bathroom became very wet and slippery. Some electric sockets in room did not work. Only instant coffee at breakfast. Cooked breakfast was ok but very limited choice of cereals.

Very nice hotelI was very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. Good location, clean and comfortable rooms with excellent food and service in the restaraunt/bar, very pleasant staff. Breakfast was also very good, and there was a very nice leisure centre that I was pleased to find was included in my rate! Convenient, great value for money, overall very good for a corporate guest such as myself.

A good basic hotel with pool etc. Room, particularly the bathroom, a bit tired and in need of attention. Breakfast was fresh cooked and particularly good.

Long weekendVery affordable, friendly and comfortable Hotel . Spa facilities very good.Location in town ideal and ample parkingPicky niggles would be - no free internet and soft beds - but overall a first rate hotel well worth the price

We only stayed at this hotel for one night but would definitely stay again; the room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious with a decent bathroom. The hotel was lovely and quiet for a good nights sleep despite being in the centre of town. It's bar area is welcoming and relaxing and the leisure facilities are great - though it was quiet when we used the pool so we had it to ourselves that particular morning! Overall the Georgian house has tasteful contemporary decor without losing it's period charm. It is warm and welcoming and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Apart from the fire alarm activating itself at 1 in the morning, and no explanation or note from the management the next morning, this is still a reasonably priced usefully situated hotel. I wrote last year praising it's breakfast and staff, this year not so! It was nothing short of a bunfight at a breakfast buffet which was only just adequate, obviously we were all rattled from the disturbed nights sleep, and the staff seemed confused and disgruntled. Due to the close proximity of a Costa and next door's cafe, which offers excellent breakfasts ( i wonder why?) and a Pizza Express three doors down, food is not an issue. The hotel does offer a useful little spa for weary female travellers, a safe car park and decent size bedrooms. It could just lift it's rating a wee bit by upgrading the pillows, towels, bigger and fluffier please and a few more upmarket toiletries, as befits a hotel with aspirations to the spa marketplace. IT could then quite easily up it's room rate and move to the next level. There are several wonderful places to eat nearby.

good locationgood sized room for single occupancy though no hot water in shower. Comfortable bed.some traffic noise from High Street but not too late or too early so midweek stay fine

A fairly good hotel, leisure facilities excellent, food (well breakfast anyway) not bad but variable depending upon day. Quality of rooms variable first room I was given was not good ... unclean bathroom, shower at chest height (!), no remote for the TV. However, once I contacted reception they could not have been more helpful and I was sorted within ten minutes .... the rest of my 5 night stay was a very enjoyable experience.

Just a quick overnight stop and the hotel met our requirements fine. The room was cheerful enough and we happily had a quiet room away from the road. We used the spacious pool in the morning and this is a big plus for the hotel. Not sure if I'd use for a longer stay as like more character overall but for a brief one it's good, and conveniently located in the heart of Haslemere High St.

Rooms are old and quaint but clean and tidy. Service lacking on check-in. Arrived after 8pm and girls on reception more interested in talking to themselves than dealing with a customer. No lifts and no-one to help with baggage. Make sure you check where your room is because hotel is like a rabbit warren with long narrow hallways with stairs all over the place. Very difficult if you have more than one bag to carry. Car parking ok but a long way from reception and rooms. Gravel parking area makes suitcases on wheels a problem. Many parts of the hotel would be unsuitable for people with mobility problems or with young children due to the number of stairs and changing floor levels.

Reception, health club and bar staff here are always very friendly and welcoming and make longer term guests i've met feel at home. Full use of the leisure club and breakfast as part of the room is excellent for the rate and I always like to stay at this hotel when I'm in this area for that reason alone. Rooms have always been clean, but room quality and style varies a bit depending which part of the hotel you are in. On the room service menu, you get a good selection of simple but tasty snack, pub style food. Never eaten in restaurant so couldn't comment. Nice breakfast with cold and cooked options. Plenty of secure parking is another bonus.

Reasonable hotel in a nice town. Never had problems parking although car park seems busy at times with people using spa facilities. Staff always friendly and helpful, but sometimes a bit tricky to find.

Very impressed with the hotel, staff, room, leisure facilities. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only disappointment was that I wasn't staying any longer!

The room allocated to me was cold and not very comfortable and the bathroom wes freezing. There was damp on the bathroon ceiling and black mould around the rim of the bath. The room had a tiny old fashion television that had a poor picture. The reception staff were efficient but not that friendly, but the staff in the restaurant and the room service waitress were polite and pleasant.

Bedroom was a reasonable size and fairly quite. Furnishings modern but sparse- bathroom small and not particularly clean.Public rooms are very tired- the breakfast room furniture etc very stained. The breakfast itself was apalling. Breakfast is served between 7 and 9am- we arrived at 08.50 to find the staff starting to clear away. The cooked breakfast which was all that was on offer apart from cereals, was all buffet service, and it was very obvious that it had been cooked at least 2 hours before we arrived and left in the 'heated' serving dishes sitting in copious amounts of grease- none of the food was hot and really quite disgusting. The staff, all very young, seemed totall disinterested in their guests- never again!

A great little stop over - ideally eat out in the town, a good plus is there is a Pizza Express virtually next door. Parking is handy and there is a handy little spa, which is perfect if you travel as many miles as I do and have an hour or so to spare in the evening for a little luxury. Does what it says on the tin, and does not pretend to be anything more than a reasonably appointed local hotel and in all fairness gives some of the more luxurious hotels in the area a reasonable run for their money.
