I had some real expectations when I checked into your hotel after hearing and reading how great of a hotel you guys "are". After all you are a "4.5" star hotel, But I must say my stay with you guys was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a hotel. When we checked in we had to wait for 15 minutes for even a "hello". When all was said and done and I was ready to go to my nice room after a 6 hr drive, I waited another 15 minutes for the elevator to come around, only to find I was sent to the wrong room. Then once that was sorted out and I was in my room I wanted to go out on the deck for a smoke, but the door in that room to get out to the deck is broken. If you look to the top right you'll see the other door has been warped, making it a pain in the ass to open. At one point in the night after getting tired of waiting 15 minutes for the elevator either way every time, I asked the front desk men if there were stairs we could use instead of waiting. I was told "Guest aren't allowed to use the stairs". I cannot believe you people do not have stairs! If my dog were to poop on your floor I would not feel bad for this reason, I wouldn't clean it up either. At night I went to turn on the light by the bed, but it was broken and I had to pee, I couldn't see so I stubbed my toe. But the most despicable thing... When I was on the phone I was told my dog would get treats and bowls, no such a thing! I had to feed her out of a (hopefully clean, but i'm not too sure about your 4.5 star standards anymore) cigarette ashtray. I was also told on the phone parking was 16$, what a surprise that was on my visa bill that you charge 26$?! When you hear a hotel is 4.5 stars you think "wow service will be great, the rooms will be awesome..." so on so such. Yet, I've stayed in 2.5 hotels in Mexico that were better then your glammed up crack house. I just cannot believe I paid almost 300$ to stay at your hotel, I honestly feel robbed, and I'm going to let every website that has reviews about you know just how horrifying my experience at your hotel was.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgian Court Hotel - there are renovations happening in the lobby as well as everywhere around downtown Vancouver as the city gets ready for the Olympics. Our room on the 10th floor was recently redecorated and very nice: comfy bed, small fridge, love seat and arm chair, lovely bathroom with Aveda products, bathrobe, Globe & Mail newspaper, free internet (sometimes a bit slow but hey, it was free), free bottled water... Loved the breakfast that came with our room - a hot buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, breads & muffins, cereals, yogurt, fruit plus juice and coffee. Great way to start a day of sightseeing. Location can't be beat - can walk to Yaletown and have your pick of great restaurants. Also can walk to the Vancouver Art Gallery and all the trendy shops on Robson St. We will definitely go back!

I had just come from a two week Alaskan cruise. When I checked in I was offered an upgrade to a suite. I didn't ask for the upgrade, it was offered by the desk clerk. The suite was great! It was almost like having an apartment for the weekend.

We enjoyed this hotel. We felt safe and close to downtown shops and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and beautiful. The room was clean and decorated elegantly. The Aveda shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soaps provided are of the best quality and I felt pampered. There was a refrigerator that was stocked with items you could purchase, but they left some room to put a few things of your own. A newspaper was provided each morning outside our door. There were complimentary bottles of water upon our arrival and at the front desk. The staff at the front desk was professional, friendly and helpful. We stayed in three different hotels on this trip and this was by far my favorite. I would most definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the hotel when I attended the No Doubt concert. It's VERY close (within walking distance) to BC Stadium and General Motors Place. The neighborhood is safe and clean - walked to the downtown pub after the concert and never felt unsafe. The hotel was a bit difficult to see/find from the road since the hotel is undergoing a slight renovation but my overall experience far outweighed the difficulty in finding the hotel.

We arrived in the morning expecting to not be able to check in until later, but the front desk clerk checked us right in, which made for a really nice start for our one day stay in Vancouver. The hotel is just a short walk from the places we wanted to go, including a Catholic Church. The next morning the front desk clerk also helped us order flowers to be delivered to a friend. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We used the internet service but did not have time to use a fitness center. We really enjoyed this first visit to Vancouver and appreciate the fact that this hotel provided a nice place to stay. We found it through a coupon offered to us by Orbitz.

I stayed here while attending a conference downtown. The room was really nicely appointed and exceptionally clean, and the bed was really comfortable. The room temp was easy to adjust. The front office was very accommodating about printing out something I needed for the conference. The hot tub / sauna was nice too. There was a restaurant attached -- breakfast was very good. My only complaint was that the public internet terminal was awkwardly placed (jn a sort of phone booth), but that was no big deal. Overall, a very good value -- quiet and restful.

The hotel room itself was beautiful. They are in the middle of remodeling for the Olympics, so there was a lot of work being done, but the rooms were gorgeous, new flat screen T.V.'s, comfy bedding, and Aveda bath products to say the least. The service was not so good at first. The reason I booked this hotel was because they promised a shuttle from our cruise ship port (only 1 km away) to out train station (only a 1.5 km away). I would have booked a different hotel with a shuttle if I would have known the problems we would have with this hotel's shuttle service. After a lot of complaining (not the type of guest I like to be), we piled in to two different taxis with a stroller and a wheelchair and made it downtown. They checked us in 5 hours early and gave us some cab fare for the next morning (10 out of 17 dollars) since their shuttle does not run early in the morning. I was happy with that, but it was a lot of stress for myself, my husband, and the 4 children I was traveling with before we got what we deserved. I would recommend the hotel if you have your own mode of transportation.

The staff was greeat. Very friendly and prompt to help us out. They gave us superb service. I really felt like they were there to help us with any of our needs. We ordered the room service food. the food is very good. We had the chicken strips the first day we were their and their sweet plum sauce is very tasty. although a little expensive it was worth it because we could just stay in our room and get the food brought to us. THere are restaurants and bars within the same block. And if you like the night life and clubs they are only a few blocks away. So easy to walk to, save on a cab and a DUI. There is also the shopping mall very close. This is the perfect hotel for anything that you want to do in Vancouver.

Nice- even though it was in the process of being renovated- it was kept clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, but it did have a slight odor of smoke. The bed looked nice- felt horrible. It was much like a pillow-topped slab of marble with great down pillows. It made both my boyfriend's and my limbs go numb and actually made me feel a little bruised after the second night (first night I moved to the couch). The price was one of the best in the area and you are right in downtown so you can easily walk to many places (not Stanley park- that's a 10.00 cab ride away) Very good for the price& just plan to possibly sleep on the couch.

Was very disappointed with this hotel. I chose the hotel because the reviews said that it was very nice. We had to carry our own very heavy luggage up the stairs in front of the building. There was extensive remodeling going on in the lobby. The elevators had a very old musty smell to them. The carpets were unfinished. I'm not sure if they were being replaced or not. The building seemed very old. The rooms were nice and clean but the sights and smells on the way up left a sour taste. Around 3am there were people outside our window screaming and yelling to set off the car alarms in our area. Extremely noisy! Now I do have to say that the staff was very nice and helpful but I don't think I would stay here again.

Even though there was remodeling going on, I lost sight of it because of the VERY friendly, professional, and pleasant hotel staff

Just stayed one night in late May 2009 on a last minute trip to Vancouver. Booked this hotel for the great rate offered due to parts of the hotel being under construction. No construction noise in room, however, and bed was comfy, bathroom was squeaky clean, staff was very helpful. Free wi-fi. $13/night to park a car. I generally don't stay in four star hotels, but I'd stay here again if the price was right. Did not check out the pool or restaurant.
