There is literally something for everyone in the Nation's Capital. Washington, DC is full of monuments, but there's a unique site you won't want to miss: the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. The FDR Memorial is located between the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, near the Tidal Basin and Washington's famous cherry trees. The park-like monument is divided into four outdoor galleries, each depicting one of FDR's four terms in office. What do the Hope Diamond, Pat Nixon's inaugural dress, and Dorothy's ruby slippers all have in common? You can see them all at the Smithsonian, the nation's attic. The Smithsonian sponsors a number of world-renowned museums, including the Air & Space Museum, the Museum of American History, and the Museum of Natural History.
