While the hotel itself is beautiful, we were given a room on the first floor facing the hotel lobby parking lot. The entrance light in the room did not work, the two bedside lamps did not work and the computer in the room had to be fixed. Don't bother with the computer, it is extremely slow. When we asked for another room, we were informed it costs $40 more for an "atrium" view when all I was asking for was to be moved of the first floor. Staff was not overly helpful. When I asked the bartender for the number for the restaurant inside the hotel, I was told to that I should ask someone else. There were only 4 employees to check in guests at check in time, I felt this was insufficient, there was a long line and no extra help. There is a $12 parking fee for parking your car yourself in a parking lot by the loading docks, not a garage. Over all, over priced and not too impressed.

The Key West dining area and children's pool. Vacumming at 6am. The hotel was very nice and family friendly. There unfortunatly was vacumming at 6am on our floor. The pool was shut down twice during our visit. But the restaurant in the Key West section of the hotel was great! The face painter and balloon maker were great.

I have stayed here multiple times. It is a great getaway. One of the best things about this hotel is once you're there you dont have to leave. There is so much to do and explore. The atrium is gorgeous so if the weather is bad you can stay in and explore. The restaurants can be pricey but you get what you pay for everything we had was wonderful. The sunday brunch was to die for. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous each time we had a room with a balcony over looking the atrium. I feel that if I were to stay again I would only get a room with a balcony as it allows you to fully experience this hotel. I was displeased with the piano bar the service there was awful and the piano players seemed quite inexperienced. They barely knew the songs requested. I would recommend going to citywalk for their dueling piano bar. That was our only disappointment. You do have to pay for parking but most hotels have a parking fee and it is clearly stated before you make a reservation.

We went for an overnight trip to have some fun and we did. The room was not as lush as I was expecting it to be, but it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend paying for the valet parking because the self park was very confusing to locate and it looked like a far walk. The kids were looking forward to the kid pool and they had a blast. Although the octupus slide was closed for repairs, so that was disappointing. Would stay here again.

Common areas were great. Carpets were not particularly clean for a higher quality establishment. Great in the summer as there are things to keep the family busy out of the heat. Prime location for business meetings.

I've stayed at the Gaylord 3 times this year! The accodmidations are fabulous! The largest indoor atrium I've ever seen, and yes, the trees plants and flowers are real! better than any disney resort and half the price! Real koi fish swimming in the waterfall ponds, real gators and turtles, and even a snake lodge! The SS Gaylord, ship/resturant on water is outstanding! Look closely in the water and you'll find small sting rays! The pools were wonderful, and the adult hot tubs were even better. The food there is never ending, 5 resturants, yes, a bit over priced but worth every penny! During the Holiday season they had a choir singing on a stage below the GIANT Christmas Tree starting at noon, which was our wake up and get ready music Everyone gets there very own computer with internet in their room, mable counter tops and consider it done service will bring you anything you need at any time day or night. The spa, pools and fitness center are all fantastic. If your bringing a car valet is $20 a day and self parking is $10. We wouldve self parked but we couldnt find the self parking lot... and the front desk charged more taxes then they were supposed to, but I double checked the bill and they fixed it for me -no questions asked. If you want to go to Disney, there is a free shuttle, but Universal will cost you- unless you drive, of course. The is a Hertz car rental on site, but make sure you reserve one way in advance before comming. And if you want liquor and dont want to drink at any of the4 bars- buy it outside before you come. There are better rates through disney dreams unlimited travel.

This hotel is very nice. A bit off the beaten path and exactly what I was looking for. A few things you should know before choosing this hotel for your vacation. There is no shuttle from the airport. If you have three or more people in your group, save some time and get a taxi. It will run you about *on way to get to the hotel. If you take the Meyers shuttle, they charge *per person and you have to wait for them. Also, the slide is broken. Not a major deal, the pool is pretty, but a working slide would have been appreciated. People have told us that the slide has been broken since May. They charge you to park in their lot. I do not know how much, but I think it is over * per day. They also charge a resort fee of around *per day. None of these things were big issues for me. I loved the place even with all the quirks. The only minor annoyance was when I checked in, I did not leave a credit card with the front desk. I paid for the resort fees up front with cash for the five days we would be at the hotel. i was not planning on renting movies or charging anything to the room and I believe that sometimes hotels will overcharge for things and that sometimes people do not check their bill. I paid upfront and the kind person behind the counter gave us a free room upgrade. I thought that was very nice! The next day and every day after, I got a letter telling me that I did not pay the fee. I talked to the Manager and checked out with an erroneous balance on my account.

The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is a humongous breath-taking place. From the moment you see this grandiose ode to European mansions which can be seen from miles away, you know you're in for a heavenly blessing. The plant-life along with the display of alligators, turtles, and koi under the gigantic glass ceiling are what bring visitors to a state of nirvania. Under the attrium, there are several great places to eat. My personal favorite is the buffet style restaurant, Villa de Flora. This resort has a little something for everyone; family night fun, singles bars, and a 24hr adult swimming pool w/jacuzzi area. Almost forgot about the all night miniture golfing course with blue or red illuminated golf balls. Afterwards you can fill your stomach at the 24hr deli. There are some things I could complain about, but the good out weighs the bad (showers have low H2O pressure, rm's facing the attrium must deal with a little noise until 10pm, and avg. mattresses). It can also get a bit expensive (2 adults + 11yr & 3yr = $100 per day avg.). They also have a shuttle that takes patrons to and from Disney parks. Overall my entire family had a great time! Next time I plan on going back with just the wife!

The hotel is beautiful and to explore all the grounds (mostly indoors) takes over an hour. You must be reasonably fit, as there is a far distance to travel from the lobby to the elevators. You will literally need to navigate with a provided hotel map. The room was very quiet, clean, and well-appointed. My complaint is that the "resort fee" included room internet which never worked, daily newspaper which was delivered 50% of the time, and 2 bottles of water. Since only the water could be relied upon, we paid $15/day for this amenity. The Mediterranean restaurant has the most delicious buffet I've had in my life but is too expensive to be more than a once-in-the-vacation splurge. Aside from one poolside cafe, you have no other reasonably priced hotel food options. We did not rent a car (thank goodness - I think there is an additional fee for this) so were at the mercy of hotel of Disney food. The Disney shuttle was somewhat infrequent in scheduling (pickups about 6 times a day), but it worked for us. The ride to Disney took about 15 mins. I thought the hotel was wonderful for a romantic getaway, but be prepared for sticker-shock.

At * a night it falls in the luxury category but the service and beds are not luxury. They will NOT let you in before 3:00 p.m and you HAVE to be out by 11:00 a.m. The beds are hard, no special bedding (like at the Hampton). We arrived for a conference at 8 a.m. but weren't allowed in the rooms until 3 because they were being cleaned. When we finally got in there, the drawer by the bed had old brochures and empty boxes of medicine left behind from the last people. I've never encountered such poor cleaning. Nobody helps you with luggage so you walk forever to your room with kids and luggage. Grounds are nice but not worth the hassle in the other areas. Most luxury hotels over service you. I asked for a bandaid and she directed me to a place I could buy one! Room service lists prices for crazy hours and then charge you double when you order at a normal time (sneaky).

Did not realize that parking was $12 per day. You think as a guest it would be included. Spent most of day in Disney. Internet access very slow. Meals were eaten outside the hotel since evrything inside was very expensive.

the atriumm was very beautiful with several options for pricey meals. Free entertainment was featured every day . The shuttle to Walt Disney was prompt and helpful. I would consider staying there again if I got the same super prices I got from online travel website.

I stayed here on business and brought along my 10 year old son so he could enjoy Disney World on his free time. First the bedroom linens were disguising, brown stains on the sheets and multiple stains on both sides of the bedspread. My son got a number of bites from the bed we did sleep in, after 3 nights be had over 50 bites on his torso. I complained the Manager on my way out, he said he would have the room cleaned and call me as to what they found, he never called and they in no way compensated me for the issues, should have at least paid for the ointment for the bites!

I was there for a series of conferences. I had been at the one in Dallas, overall is a good resort. I know for conventions is a necessary evil to go to a large place, but its unbelievably spread out. It took me 20 minutes to walk from my room to the convention center.

Location. Resort fee, valet fee, self park fee & location. This hotel is beautiful but I wish the would just charge you the extra money instead of charging for amenities.

Rooms were plain jane, phone didnt work, internet didnt work and TV had sound problems and could not watch. The valet fee and the resort fee are a waste. This hotel is a lot of hype for not much.Everything is way overpriced as two coffees cost me 16.00. I had to go to the nmanager to get my resort fee taken off the bill as nothing worked in the room as cited above.

That hotel is huge! It is the size of a shopping mall. It has an atrium view of ponds, rivers, waterfalls all within the hotel. I recommend getting a room with the atrium view it is beautiful. There is so much to see and do inside the hotel that is where we spent most of our time when visiting Orlando. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will stay in this hotel again next time I visit Orlando.
