Very good value for money

Great Price, Great LocationI found this hotel (flat) perfect. Previous reviews mentioned the sound of the trains rolling past, but I was in building 151 and there was no noise from the trains. The only complaint I could give is it would have been nice to have instructions on how the thermostat worked. At times it was 27 degrees in the flat and the window didn't open enough to bring in cool air.

Clean and central, but very loud trainsThe miniature apartment was very attractive and if wanting to spend a week in London on business you could do far worse. It was light and airy, and the room we were allocated had significant 'wow' factor with interesting loft skylight features and balcony. Waking up and seeing the sky was lovely. The kitchen and facilities would be ideal if you were to make use of them, but just staying one night to be out on the town in London meant that they were wasted on us, and a hotel room would have been sufficient. The rate was good, at £80 it was on par with most modest hotel rooms in the area and was certainly more interesting. However I was woken from 0630 when the trains began on the junction that passes less than 50m outside the building. The downside about the loft having so much windows and light is that none of them are double glazed, and sleep after that was impossible. It was well decorated but in places the finish fell short if you looked too closely. I thought the customer service a little unreasonable at times over a minor quibble, which left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. Other than that I thought it comfortable, clean and a nice place to stay. If I were in town on business for a week I'd not mind the early starts and the facilities in the room would have been perfect. In summary, very comfortable but not for light sleepers!

Gatehouse Apartmentssecond visit, easy to get to, very complicated TV system which makes me laugh each time, it is a challenge if you have no patience to work sometimes. Had a room at the back this time, very nice view. Made special request for extra towels so i could exercise and did not get them, same happened on last stay.Otherwise fine, good standard and nice bed

Great location and VERY comfortableWe were a bit aprehensive at first, but we were so well attended to and taken care of that all our worries flew out the window. A common deterant was the location near to a train line. We actually didn't even realize that the train was passing except for it's lights zooming past. We slept like angels and had a reassuring feeling of safety when we left the apartment to go out. We FULLY recommend these apartments and service. They're well worth the price. Having access to supermarkets, bank machines, bus and tube services so nearby, was a DEFINITE plus.

Gatehouse Studio ApartmentsThis apartment is modern and functional and well located for London Bridge Station. However the room is very small and located adjacent to a very noisy railway track.

Sunlight apartmentsGreat locations and fantastic room. Only downside, located right next to railway tracks. Tracks approx 20 meters from block! When trains go by makes whole room shake. Also bed is on wheels on wooden floor so whole bed actually moves when trains pass. Apart part from that very good clean apartment.

excellent appartmentexcellent, clean, neat, has everything you need. lovely bedroom, well thought out kitchen, wifi, TV, sofa.. what more could you want.only very minor negative - dont forget to take tea/coffee/milk with you - my room didnt have any which meant going out to get some.

Trains!Contrary to what it says on the website, the trains do run all night along the viaduct which is very close. The double glazing doesn't do much to stop the noise. Its a pity because otherwise we would not hesitate to go back.

Perfect Accommodation - LondonMy stay was perfect, the apartment spotlessly clean and welcoming in decoration. The bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and bed comfortable. The staff extremely helpful and friendly.

As warned, room was very noisy. Was continuous noise from the train lines throughout the night. As long as you are a heavy sleeper, it is a fine place to stay. Convenient for London Bridge amenities. Good find.

Turned up and no clear directions to find the reception; helpful receptionist but poor directions meant another 5 minutes finding the room. VERY basic - poorly laid out design, rubbish shower, ran out of hot water, thin walls, cheap bedding and the lowest ceiling I've had over my head since last time I was in a trench. Trains allegedly don't run til 8am on Sundays and limited to 20mph - both untrue. Won't stay again

Small but well equippedSingle apartments are very small, but the double apartments are a reasonable size, very clean and comfortable and well equipped with small kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher. Close to rail line, but did not find the noise obtrusive and trains do not run all night. Ideal for a mid-length stay, as you can prepare your own meals, but there are restaurants nearby if you would rather eat out.

Really impressed with the size of my room, really well organised and clean. Receptionist was efficient and pleasant. An all round pain free experience really.

Complex is in a good location for access to the City, and clean and tidy. Single room was functional, if a little cluttered. The noise from the nearby train line is worse (trains were louder and faster) than advertised on the LateRooms site. Along with another guest, I wanted to check out at 7.15am and Reception surprisingly, was closed with no instructions as to what to do, or where to leave keys. I wanted to pay on a different card than I used to secure the booking and leave promptly so this was frustrating.Hotel is ok if you just want to lay your weary head somewhere close to the City for a few hours .........

Excellent value for money - clean and very convenient for the city. You do need to be a sound sleeper becuase of the very close proximity to the railway.

I stayed at Gatehouse Studio Apartments whilst attending a weekend of lectures. I found it to have everything I needed; excellent location, friendly staff and the appartment was clean and well equipped. I am not a light sleeper so the noise from the trains did not bother me much. I will stay again next time I'm in London.

This is my third night at this location. You cannot beat it for value for money given it's location. Yes it's close to the railway so take ear-plugs. Will stay again.

Cheap but Trains are a problem in the morning, OK for 1 night.
