Garden Hotel Siena

Surrounded by a park of ancient live oaks, the Garden Hotel Siena is situated just outside of downtown Siena. It is within easy walking distance of the Siena Dome, though less experienced walkers might want to take public transportation to the Monteriggionni Castle, which is about four miles away.

Though it seems to be off the beaten track, the Garden Hotel Siena is quite close to downtown Siena and its public transportation systems.

Each of the 125 rooms of the Garden Hotel Siena is uniquely decorated, although they all feature modern additions like satellite television, en-suite bathrooms, and soundproofed walls.

Originally a villa for a family, the Garden Hotel Siena was built in the 1800s, and this still shows through in the architecture and details of the place. The hotel, for instance, still features its original frescoes and period furniture, although it has recently been updated to include modern amenities like laundry facilities, a fitness center, and a house restaurant featuring local favorites. More interesting amenities include an on-call doctor and a library or reading room.
