Very pleasant staff. The room was fine, but the shower was appaling. No water pressure.

Very nice people, clean and good quality room. Breakfast was very nice, help yourself to as much as you like. A bit pricey, but I would reccommend and would stay here again. Very handy for east coast routes and days out etc.

The food was excellent & very varied for the members of our party& their varied medical diets. The staff werevery friendly & helpful.This was a birthday & anniversary treat for my parents so we were a varied age group

The linen in the room was very dated and faded,the bed was very uncomfortable with a matress protector that made you stick to the bed making it impossible to turn over with out awakening the person next to you.As for the restraunt when we went in for an evening meal on the saturday we where informed that they wasn`t serving food.Would I stay again " Never ", Would I recommend a friend " Never "I stay in hotels all over the country regularly and this was one of the most dissapointing hotels i have stayed in.It was an experience thankfully I won`t be repeating.

food &wine in the restaurant overpriced ; we only ate in one night because of this. breakfast very limited ie full bfst bacon egg,one tasteless sausage,beans,fried bread; no toms ,mushrooms etc unless sought as an alternative to basics. no porridge or fruit ie prunes etc fresh fruit yoghurt for people like my wife who dont do fry-ups. room service unreliable,we were left without towels on 2 out of 3 days.

Very standard overall - the bedroom was large and clean but tired. If you pay £75 for B&B you will feel disappointed - unless you are a big fan of help yourself to huge quantities of Tesco's value range style foods. In contrast, the £95 DBB deal is better - the steaks are great, but again the greedy eater will get the best value for money. The owners are really helpful and friendly.

After reading some of the reviews before we travelled we were a little wary, however, the Ganton Greyhound is fabulous value for money. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a superior room which turned out to be a huge family room! Very clean and comfortable. Huge roaring fires in the bar and the conservatory dining room. Food was excellent! All in all a very good weekend break. I'm telling all our friends about it!

The allocated room which was in the original part of the Hotel was very small. I understand the newer rooms are much larger.
