Rooms
The unique Gauguin cottages are situated about 80 yards from the beach, near the bird sanctuary lagoon. These comprise two palm-thatched rooms, one for sleeping and one serving as a bath/ dressing room, connected by a sheltered breezeway (covered patio). Alternatively, the modern beachfront rooms provide more conventional accommodation, allowing guests to literally step from the room onto the beach. All rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower and are equipped with a direct dial telephone, a satellite/ cable TV, a king-size bed, a safe and either a balcony or a terrace.
Sports/Entertainment
Guests may enjoy warm days spent sunbathing on the 3/4 mile stretch of white sand beach, as well as choosing from a host of water sports or indulging themselves in the full service spa with a massage or spa treatment (both for an additional fee). After playing an invigorating game of tennis or visiting the gym, they may take a refreshing plunge into a swimming pool that seems to have grown out of the striking Caribbean landscape itself. Numerous activities are available to guests including sailing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, table tennis, kayaking, snorkelling, a championship tennis court and croquet. Scuba diving, golf or horse riding excursions can also be arranged at extra cost. There are sun loungers and parasols available at the hotel and on the sandy beach.
