I LOVED the room: balcony, living room, 2 plasma TV's, kitchen. Great location, AMAZING beds, best sleep! Valet staff was superb! The elevators were very slow, the front desk was not as helpful as the valet, pool area is not as nice as the rest of the hotel. I absolutely loved this hotel, it was worth every moment. The actual lobby looked a little unorganized, the pool area was great, except it was a little too small considering the capacity of the hotel, and the elevator was very slow. However, this hotel is fantastic. Very minor problems, the rooms were exceptional and the valet was GREAT. I would come back again!

The hotel is located by a very busy road with a fire station nearby. There is constant noise from the traffic and a fire truck going by every few hours. I ordered the Grilled chicken sandwich caprese for $12.00 - guess what. It actually costs $19.00 after they add in their delivery fee, 15% tip, 7% admin fee, and the $4.00 room charge. This charge is after the $18.00 self parking fee, and whatever their internet fee is. No wonder there is nobody here. I booked a room at another hotel after one night.

Out room had all the comforts of home! The view was great we could see the ocean and the bay. If you go be sure to hop on the water taxi that picks you up and takes you all around all day for 14 dollars. The beds were super comfortable with lots of pillows.

Hotel is in a great location with views of the intercostal as well as the ocean...which is a short walk over the causway. We did have (2) false fire alarms in one week and one was at 1:30am. Our room was on the 11th floor and the fire department could not get the elevators working so we had to walk back up to or room....both times...other than that we were pleased with our hotel selection.

The hotel is very nice. the beds are fantastic and is very good for family vacations since have a full kitchen but not manyts kithen utensiles. recomend it..

The trip was ruined from the start while the hotel kept us waiting because the room was not ready by the advertised time. Check-in staff refused to call housekeeping to inform them of our arrival. Half the lounge chairs by the pool were broken, which meant an absurd rush to find the usable ones each day. For most of our stay two of the three elevators were broken, which on several occasions meant a journey of 20 minutes to get to our room. Other aspects of the hotel were, I suppose, acceptable.

Overall very good service, location, facility for a competitive price. Staff were friendly and very responsive. Hotel was approx. two blocks from the beach; one block from a lovely, peaceful park -- great for walking; biking; trails; roller-blading, etc., and across the street from a very nice mall with restaurants. I believe all rooms were suites with mini kitchens and clean. I would recommend for business, or travel with family. Exercise room was small but adequate. Free internet in lobby; would have preferred free Internet in room.

We traveled with a young baby, so the 2 separate rooms were a life saver. Kitchen was also a big plus given that we stayed in Fort Lauderdale for almost a week. They even have pots & pans, utensils, dishes, microwave, fride, and dishwasher! Though the room service was not the best, the room was quite clean. I like the fact that the maid didn't move any of our belongings in the room. Basically, she just did the bed and the bathroom which was sufficient for us. The location of the hotel was near a big shopping mall. However, they did not have a connected walkway to the mall. You had to walk on the sidewalk next to the street/highway to get there (spell: dangerous with a baby). Although the hotel was only a couple blocks from the beach, you had to walk across a (pretty high) bridge and those "couple" blocks were not a short walk! With a baby in a stroller, I worked up a sweat even before hitting the beach. They also had a taxi boat station right on the first floor. The taxi boat will take you to the beach and many sightseeing places including some restaurants. It's convenient and pretty cheap. All in all we were satisfied with the hotel. The staff was really friendly and were willing to help. We would definitely stayed here again when we visit the area next time.

We stayed for a long weekend to enjoy Ft L, and were very happy with the Doubletree. The room was very nice, and while our view could have been better we really enjoyed the size of the room, and the bathroom (esp the glass shower) made us both very happy. Service was very good, delivered champagne on time per my request ahead of our return one evening, room service was very good (not outstanding, but very good) and the valet took very good care of us. The walk to the beach is about 15 min and very easy. Very enjoyable.

Pros - Very clean/large rooms - 2 nice plasma TV's located in the rooms with HD cable. - The front desk staff was very knowledgeable,helpful, and kind. - The location was fantastic for my girlfriend and me, right next to the Galleria Mall and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Cons - Only 1 of the 3 elevators was working consistently in a 14 story hotel... 1 did not work the entire time, 1 would go to random floors sometimes that were not pushed and go down when it was supposed to go up, and the other elevator was reliable. - The Bartender L was extremely rude to my girlfriend and me by giving us a lot of attitude when we asked her a question about drinks (possibly because we are only 22, I don't really know) - The ice machine was broken during our visit. - The cleaning service refused to give us an extra towel when we requested it... - The hotel failed to notify us that the Hot Tub was under construction during our stay. - The waiter in the restaurant was rather slow in 1st getting to us, only 3 tables were occupied in the entire restaurant, yet it took him 15 minutes to ask us if we wanted a drink... - The Water Bus is not as convenient as expected. It was constantly full and never really on time. When the boat was full, people were left behind at the stop and had to wait another hour. All-in-all, the bad things did not ruin our trip and it was still a successful romantic

We chose this hotel for its big suites and great reviews. Four of us girls were having a weekend away and had plenty of room to all sleep comfortably in the double queen suite with a queen pull out. The room was clean and the balcony was great for morning coffee. We all were obsessed with the walk in shower and large bathroom, which was nice for four girls getting ready to go out! Service was friendly and prompt. The kitchen and dishes were very convenient and they ran the dishwasher each day. We spent a whole day at the pool because it was much more pleasant under the palm trees than the hot beach. The pool bar was convenient, although, a bit pricey. we ate one night outdoors at the restaurant and the food was delicious! The whole staff was accommodating, pleasant, and extremely helpful with questions. The walk to the Ft. Lauderdale beach, shops and local diners was only 10 min. A cab ride to Las Olas Blvd. was only about $12 and 15-20min. Overall it was a great experience and such a good price. I am very picky with the hotels I stay in and have very high expectations. This hotel definitely lived up to its website and reviews. I would recommend it to anyone.

The view from my room. From the lobby to my room, everything was clean and beautiful. I upgraded my room when I got there, to get a ocean and waterway view. The room was furnished very nicely and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay immensely, and would definitely go there again.

You can see the ships from the dock side seating area of this hotel.. They also are a stop for the water taxi which is must do for anyone visiting the city of Fort Lauderdale. This location by using the water taxi gives you access to all of the tourist attractions in Fort Lauderdale that you can see in a short pre cruise stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. After our cruise returned to port we had a 10 hour lay over before our flight back home and th Gallery One took our luggage and stored it for us at no charge because we were guests before the cruise, other hotels wanted 3.00 per bag to do this even if you were a guest before the cruise. I would recommend this hotel for a pre or post cruise and a full vacation in Fort Lauderdale.

We had a family reunion at this hotel, so we had 6 rooms of people --- all ages. The rooms were clean and well laid out. Two room suites, nice kitchen and excellent showers! There is a coin laundry on the 3rd floor. The hotel is situated right on a canal and the water taxi stops at the hotel. This is very convenient for traveling to nearby restaurants. The water taxi has a family rate, so make sure to ask for it. Otherwise it is $13 a day for on and off privileges. In the evening it is $7. Our room had a view of the canal ---and of the ocean. The business center has three computers and actually has a magnificent view of the water. Free internet in the lobby. The restaurant is very good and has a nice children's menu. Try the crab soup. The pool overlooks the canal and it is very entertaining to see all of the boats traveling by. We opted to take an 11 dollar shared ride from the airport rather than rent a car and deal with the parking fees. Shared rides can be found right next to the Taxi stand, but beware because the Taxi stand manager will try to put you in one of his taxis before you can figure out that the shared ride is a better option if you have only have one or two people. You don't need a car at this hotel location. There are about 20 restaurants within 2 blocks of the hotel and an additional 30 restaurants along the water taxi route. Also, directly across the street is a CVS pharmacy, a Starbucks, a french cafe, and a high end mall with 150 shops. Have fun!
