The Gallery Hotel. SingaporeThe Gallery Hotel is in an excellent location. Robertson quay just around the corner. Boat Quay and Clarke Quay are within easy walking distance.The room was excellent with a lovely view over the river.The breakfast was lovely!We especially loved the fact that all the staff were very friendly and helpful.The Gallery will be a must for our next visit to Singapore!

Brilliant hotel - we were upgraded to a very slick suite. Swimming in the pool overhanging the street is a real buzz. Nice location and the canal although a little far from Orchard Rd - if that's your primary interest. Still good value for a Singapore boutique hotel! Happy to let us use facilities after we checked out - i.e. return for a shower before flying that evening. Recommended!

This hotel is unforgettable in spite of some idiosyncracies. Pluses: The fantastic lapis-tiled pool cantilevered from the 5th floor with aquarium glass on two sides. Order a drink and a pizza from the poolside bar and float under the stars. The work out room has a selection of muscle-building toys to please the most serious gym rat. The modern design rooms are eye candy. The location is just far enough off the beaten path to feel like you got away from the crowd, while a footbridge shortens the walk to the Clarke Quay MRT station. Cautions: Ask what the cryptic room designations "gallery" and "bookend" mean. I did not, booked a "gallery," and ended up with two rather firm, twin beds. While the room was quiet, they don't tell you that behind the pool another high-rise is under 24 hour construction. Solution: take your MP3 player to the pool.

very outdated hotel. Don't see any of the gallery factor in the plane rooms, disapointing.

I stayed there twice during recent months. Extraordinary, at times exciting design features brought me back despite the inconvenient location too far from MRT stations. But that's true for any of the many mid-range hotels in the Havelock Rd area. On the other hand The Gallery is close to the pleasant riverfront and the Mohamed Sultan Rd nightlife strip. Setback: I got a smoking room despite booking a non-smoking room. Attraction: To swim in the roof top pool at night and watch stars and city lights almost melt together!

I was just in Singapore for 1 night and this location was very good to walk around and see a few places of interest. 10 minutes walk to bars and restaurants.
