Fantastic stayWe stayed at the Galgorm as we were attending a wedding reception there, and the whole experience was fantastic. Every need was catered for and all staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were of a very high standard; clean and very spacious. Gillies bar and restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and the food was great value for money.

Galgorm surpriseWe have stayed at the Galgorm twice before - for New Years Eve - and have always found the hotel itself a great place to stay. On previous visits the staff might have been a little too busy to give great service, or the rooms might have been slightly on the small side.However, this time we found everything was that little bit better than we could have hoped.The room was upgraded to a fantastic suite - very impressive - and the staff were perfect, very helpful and polished. It's as if the hotel had been takne over by a new manager!

Great Room, nice food but why so far away from wedding reception.Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds. Stayed there when going to a wedding. Fantastic room, really nice, great food, but there's no nipping back to the room for 5 minutes as its a good walk up a hill. Honestly though overall, one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. One night isn't enough.

Wow! What a great location for a wedding!We spent one evening at the Galgorm resort & Spa to celebrate a friends wedding - and I'm so glad we did! Even though the rooms are quite pricey, you really do get what you pay for. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning - a fabulous backdrop for any special occasion. The room we had was amazing - very spacious, sumptuous and contained everything you could possibly need. The aromatherapy toiletries in the room were of the highest quality, and well received.Breakfast was great - a massive selection of food covering all tastes.I can well recommend this hotel, and would love to go back again.

The Galgorm ExperienceEvery member of staff from the receptionists, Spa therapists, restaurant and bar personnel were friendly and courteous . My very first Spa experience and it was heavenly. Quality of evening meal and breakfast was excellent . Check out was quick and efficient.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting but had to be the worst hotel room i've ever stayed in! Dark,dreary,shabby,dusty,too much ancient dark furniture,peeling wallpaper,blocked shower tray(almost fllooded the bathroom),broken handle on bathroom window leaving window permanently open which after complaining a maintenance man came and fixed with a screw,a piece of wire and the belt of a bathrobe!!! The room was cold and extremely draughty around the windows.The hairdryer didnt work either. I had booked this for my husbands birthday for a surprise,what a disappointment! My friends who had stayed in the hotel before and recommended it to us were in the room next door, they were bitterly disappointed too as they were in a beautiful room previously and couldn't believe these two shabby rooms were part of the same hotel. We asked to be moved but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so we had no choice but to make the most of it. The Spa was lovely and took our minds of the shabby room for a while.The restaurant food was delicious,took a while to get to us but was worth the wait.The staff were all pleasant and were apologetic about the room,we were given a discount on checkout which did help a bit. I would go back but would make sure I was getting one of the 'new' rooms and not the 'traditional'.

we had a serious car crash before our arrival, but the staff were wonderful and help us sort out alternative travel arrangements and ensure that we recieved phone calls while we were not in our room.the hotel itself is beautiful - the grounds it is set in and also the spa aea which guests are free to use.The only let down of the visit was that our breakfast in bed was over half an hour late (and needed us to phone reception to ask where it was) and when it arrived it wasnt what we had ordered. However, this was quickly corrected.

As expected because the room was discounted it was one of the older rooms which was a shame.....why can we not get bargins!! Although the room did have a river view it smelt a bit damp. I recommend if it's a special occasion you enquire exactly which part of the hotel you are staying in to avoid disappointment. The new rooms are excellent having stayed in one previouslyEntertainment on a friday night made the stay and the food in Gillies was good as ever....just be careful where they sit you. Originally we were beside the pass which was nosey and completely lacked atmosphere, but on enquiry we were promptly moved to better seating.

The hotel was pure luxury! The rooms were fantastic, our view was of the river and was idyllic. The kingsize bed was big enough to get lost in and was very comfortable. The food in Gillies was excellent, if a little on the expensive side. The setting is beautiful and I would highly recommend Galgorm Resort. I can't wait to go back!

Overall a very good hotel with courteous staff. Food was excellent whilst the room (classed superior) that my wife and I stayed in was very comfortable and tastefully decorated with a nice view of the Maine flowing past from the balcony outside. One small thing I drew to the attention of staff shortly after arrival however - the plug in the ensuite sink didn't work - wasn't fixed during our brief stay (despite being told it would be). Ah well, maybe a bit of an irony given that view and the attraction of the Spa - which I will say was an excellent facility indeed. In general although its not cheap, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is well located and was signposted clearly from Cullbackey. The hotel is set in spectacular grounds and looks impressive as you approach the main building; the river in particular is an excellent setting for wedding puposes.The room was very clean and stylish with a large screen television and what can surely be described as the most comfortable bed ever. The bathroom was good also with a large shower and modern sink/bath area.We dined in Gillies restaurant on both evenings of our stay and found the food to be excellent, and very reasonably priced too; we never dined in the River Room although I would assume the same standards if not better.The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay.We will certainly return to this hotel in the future, and would even consider using it as a venue for our wedding; it really was an enjoyable experience allround. Highly recommended.

The hotel was easy to find and situated in the most beautiful grounds with lots of car parking and riverside walks as well as lots of benches placed around so we could sit outside and admire the views. We had superior rooms which were lovely with extremely comfortable beds, although having french doors and not a window, meant our room was either stuffy with the doors closed or too cold with the doors open. The bathroom was lovely with a walk in shower, although the sink was too shallow and we splashed water on the floor. We ate in Gillies bar and enjoyed the food very much, there was also fine dining in the River Room which we didn't try. The Spa was excellent with a lovely pool. All in all a comfortable (though expensive) stay.
