Very clean, jacuzzi was small, great price, but farther from Napa then you think. The hotel itself is nice and relaxing, but it is not near anything nice- it's situated between a trailer park and a 24 hour seedy casino. No nice restaurants within several miles, except that there is a nice restaurant within the hotel itself with fresh and organic ingredients. The staff was friendly but the spa was out of our price range.

The location. Nothing. Very pleasant hotel, well located. The restaurant is not up to par.

Hotel was very nice for the reduced price thru the travel website. The beds and room decor were very comfortable. Restaurant for breakfast was wonderful - great food- nice decor- friendly service. Location of Hotel was okay - close to Napa & Sonoma for wine tasting. We didn't spend a lot of time around the hotel.

Though not centrally located in the heart of Napa Valley, this hidden gem is a great value for a weekend getaway in the wine country. But, just be weary of the fact that it could be a long drive back to the hotel after you've done some wine tasting in Napa. Don't come here expecting to stay in a luxurious, posh guest room - but that isn't to say the rooms don't have what you'd want. The rooms are equipped with all the right amenities, and are very clean. Pretty landscaping in the central courtyard. As this hotel prides itself on its eco-friendliness, the doors of the lobby let you know that it is LEED Gold certified (impressive) and there are displays showing the current levels of electricity and water being used by the hotel - kind of fun. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It was very clean, beds were fabulously luxurious and lovely restaurant! I would definitely return. Even though it was a bit of a drive to the Napa Valley the comfort of the hotel was worth it.

After planning a short weekend getaway and searching hundreds of local area hotel in napa we found this hotel to be a great option for the price. Although it is more then ten minutes from napa you can save hundreds by driving just a few more minutes up the road. Our biggest two complaints were upon check-in their room key maker was down and they stated there would some to meet us at our room to let us in. We ended up having to go back to the front desk to find anyone and didnt get our keys till after 10pm that night. And I know the hotel is known as eco-friendly but the water pressure in the shower was terrible. It was hard to get all the soap out of you hair and the water was almost cold by the time it hit you. Other then that, the grounds were beautiful, very clean and the beds were very comfy!! Would stay here again

This hotel was a real find and we loved the value and the location. We also love the eco-friendly hotel concept and I hope more hotels adopt these policies, it is the next level to being a "Green Hotel." The staff was friendly after a long travel day that was very inportant and the "check-in" and "check out" was very easy. The resturant was outstanding and their wine list was very good, which is important in thes region:) The rooms are very spacious and beautiful and the beds are really excellent.

Beds were amazing! Loved everything. Although about an extra 15 minutes to and from Napa, for the price well worth the drive- very clean, beds were amazingly comfortable and food as good as any in the valley-

The hotel staff was very accomodating to my special needs regarding checkin time. The hotel was quiet and clean. The bed was great. The public areas are beautiful. This is an eco-friendly facility. Considering it's location in the Bay Area - proximity to everythng - the price is excellent. Great dining and good shopping nearby. If you are looking for clean and quiet place to sleep and a relaxing atmosphere this is the place. If you are looking for action and adventure you won't find it in American Canyon anyway.

This hotel well exceeded my ecpectations! Great staff, good ambience, great service. Location was somewhat deceiving. Thought it was in Napa Valley but is about 20 minutes from it. Other than that, great!!!!

Hotel was quiet, clean and well appointed. Upscale atmosphere. There was absolutely no information about local outdoor activities. Clean, quiet atmosphere with upscale feel. Staff was not helpful in the least with information.

This hotel was absolutely silent my entire stay. Ask for a room in the rear of the property. Although the grounds were lovely the weather was terrible so I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the serene sitting area with coffee or wine. Next time. This is my new favorinte place.

The Gaia Napa Valley Hotel and Spa is an idea whose time has come, but does not quite hit the mark. The green building concept in the middle of strip mall territory seems incongruous. The design of the property itself is nice, with the lagoon and swans. The Walmart next door does detract from the tranquility they seem to want to promote. The location is in fact not all that convenient to Napa Valley attractions. We had several complaints about our stay. The hallways and rooms had noticeable fumes from paint and carpeting. The internet service was not available to guests . When we went to use the business center computer, one was not working, and the other one was being used by an employee He kindly offered to let us use the computer, but he had trouble signing off from the Hustler site windows he had opened, and somehow crashed the computer. We were then offered the desk computer to try to book an excursion we wanted to take. We had a lovely treatment at the Spa, which was the highlight of our stay. The staff there were exceptional. The only improvements needed would more towels, and perhaps amenties like blow dryers should be available.

New, clean, cost effective. Location. A very clean, comfortable, staff friendly and cost effective hotel to stay at when visiting Napa Valley. Location was the major disadvantage for Napa Valley.

My wife and I returned to Napa for the 2nd year in a row and decided to give Gaia a shot to save some money. We are so glad that we did. The front desk staff was helpful and engaging. The hotel seemed brand new, in fact the onsite restaurant has not opened yet. The eco-friendly angle is interesting and unique, but the use of alternative building materials had no impact on the quality of the rooms. The only improvement I would suggest pertains to the continental breakfast. The health food choices limited variety, and we're particularly favorable for my wife and I. This hotel is 5-6 miles south of Napa proper, and is situated on the same highway as many of the big wineries. We would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Napa.

The Gaea Hotel was a wonderful experience.. they allowed me to check in a little early due to a mix up in travel arrangements and the beds were the best I have ever slept in in a hotel or spa retrete!!!!! LOVED it!

The Gaia is comfortable, modern, and well located. Focusing on the Green approach to comfort, the hotel uses all natural cotton linens and down pillows. The beds were the most comfortable I've experienced ever in a hotel. A charming central feature of the outdoor space is a beautiful pond and fountain with live swans and ducks. It's a natural attraction for birds in the area and creates a very pleasant background for relaxation. And of course the location couldn't be better for travelers to the wine country. The hotel is only minutes from Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley wineries in 2 directions!

Gaia Napa Valley Hotel and Spa, AMERICAN CANYON, CA is a GREEN hotel. The rooms surround a moat containing swans, mallard ducks, fish and local wildlife in a very natural setting. The entire experience staying at this hotel was very pleasant!
