If price is your deciding factor, then consider the Gastehaus Pfeilgasse. Part of the Academia Hotels group, the hostel is a 90-room university students' hall of residence open to those looking for budget accommodation in Vienna during summer (July to September). If you're prepared to walk a kilometre or so, you’ll be rewarded with some of Vienna's best attractions, such as the Kunsthistorisches Museum, MuseumsQuartier and Imperial Palace. The rooms at the Hostel Pfeilgasse are very basic and small. Except for toilets, facilities are shared, with shower rooms available on each floor and a pleasant garden to relax in behind the hotel. A self-service continental breakfast is available each morning at Hotel Atlas, located about six minutes’ walk away.
