Nice place, watch out for the extrasThe accomodation was very clean, modern and comfortable. there is no bar fridge in the room which was a bit of a nuisance for a longer stay. If you book breakfast when you register you get it for a lower price. However, we had a problem on our third day when breakfast wasn't shown as pre-paid. I notified reception that had made an error but they then charged us the full price. The business pack for movie rentals did not cover 24 hours of viewing even though we stayed for 3 days. Otherwise, good. be careful not to leave things in the large draw as I did.

futureinn hotel cardiff is a lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle of cardiff. the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. the first time we have had extras incluing iron and board and ice bucket with ice machine ,lovely for couples to relax. breakfasts were great.

Excellent contemporary hotelCehcking in was abit difficult as it was a complex booking with lots of names and the receptionistt didn't seem to understand what i was asking, which was had the rest of the group all booked in, but it all got sorted and the stay was enjoyable. the rooms were spacious, well equiped and the double twin beds were very confortable. Some of the guests had booked breakfast and cancelled due to the cue for breakfast. While others waited till morning to get breakfast and wished they hadn't as the price went up from £8 to £12. Some of the group felt this point hadn't been raised at all with them at check-in. The upshot of the confusion and size of restaurant was that only one person out of a group of 8 had breakfast in the hotel, instead we went to macdonalds round the corner.

Enjoyed our stay here again, close to the Bay, used the water taxi to the city centre. The only critisism would be that the television in the bedroom is far too small.

Sofas and Doctor WhoOn top of Cardiff Bay, so well worth a night of two of culture,resturants and pubs. Not overly expensive, not high class, but fun. Hotel pristine and clean. Staff very welcoming.

not that clean i filled in a review that was left in the room before i left, noone has contacted me about this. the room wasnt really clean and there were stains on the carpet. window sills were filthy.

Quick stop overI used this hotel as a quick stop over and was very pleased. The room was larger than expected, very clean with excellent media facilities including free internet tv and a jukebox feature. I would recommend.

What? No Breakfast?The Hotel and Staff were very nice but at £153 a night I was disappointed that my Wife and I had to pay an extra £8 each for Breakfast. We have just returned from 2 weeks Holiday in the Canary Islands at a 4Star All inclusive Hotel (including flights ) for the cost of 10 nights in this hotel. Hardly a recommendation for Holidaying in Britain. It was a nice Hotel and if breakfast had been included I probably wouldn't have complained.

A regular visitorMy wife and I stay regularly at the Future because of its location and value for money.We are usually opera going at the Millennium Centre a stone's throw away. But the hotel also offers good public rooms, good breakfasts and it is in the heart of the redeveloped Cardiff Bay area. As car borne travellers its ample secure parking space is good.The reception staff are unfailingly pleasant and welcoming and it has the fastest lifts to all floors in the UK.

Future Inn CardiffVery good no frills hotel, better than its 2* rating. Super modern roomy room, great media (juke box for albums/tracks on TV!). Good to have in-room iron, decent hairdryer. Limited bathroom toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, tiny soap and tissues only, but nice quality. No fridge. Comfy chair with footstool plus a settee. Well sited in Cardiff Bay, close to Millennium Centre across 2 car parks and through mall. Food disappointing as restaurant looked inviting & service itself good, but lots of alternatives at nearby, in mall and around Bay. No pool. Plenty of parking. First floor snack dispenser out of use when I visited and cola only in drinks dispenser. Very easy access from M4 via J33 Cardiff Bay dual carriageway (just keep left at the roundabouts after the tunnel)

This hotel makes a great base for traveling in South Wales. It's a little tricky to find if you don't know your way around Cardiff Bay but follow the directions and it's fine. The hotel is a lot closer to the main restaurant and bar area of Cardiff Bay than it looks, just cut through the nearby leisure complex (cinema, bowling, chain restaurants etc) and you're there. The rooms are large and comfortable. Certainly a cut above 'basic' despite the 2* rating shown on laterooms. I enjoyed my stay here and found the staff in the bar and restaurant friendly and helpful.

WiFi/BroadbandWhen I tried to log-on the first time, there was no network there - and reception said they did have problems in some rooms, and mine was one! I was efficiently moved to another room, thoughtfully on the same floor which \"had broadband\".Now although my laptop saw the network, it wasn't able to get a network IP address even after rebooting my laptop, or running \"renew\" on CMD. If it was my network I'd have rebboted the router/switch - but there was no-one available and by now I had to go out!
