If dreams come true, this is where you can plan your escape to a tiny island in the South Pacific, stand on the rim of a live volcano, walk through ancient rainforests and feel that you are really alive. If you want to do this and be safe and comfortable among friendly people then Friendly Bungalows will be the perfect escape for you.
The bungalows are made in the traditional Melanesian way...the communities get together, the men pulling and carrying the timber and bamboo, the women weaving the grass matting and amidst a lot of laughing and singing, a house is born out of many hands work. One of these bungalows, each with it's own name, is your home while you are here in Tanna. Friendly bungalows is owned and operated by well known Poppys on the Lagoon in Port Vila and managed locally by local managers, Mary and Jessel Niavia.
Local currency cash, visa and mastercard are accepted. Payment by credit card will incur a small additional credit card fee.
Electricity is powered by generator and is available from dusk until approximately 10:30pm.
