Staff are helpful and courteous at reception and housekeeping was unobtrusive. The room was well appointed and all modern fixtures ( including a tiny kitchen area which was ideal for tea and snacks) fabrics were in all good taste and very new. The views over the city were very welcome and location was ideal for the old town and the train station was just down the hill. It would have been nice if they could offer to lend an umbrella (would also make good advertising) as it rained all the time (just bill the client if they don't return it - like they do in Switzerland). On the whole a very pleasant stay. Recommended.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, generously sized queen beds, and flat screen as well as large bathrooms. Maid service was spotty - they make the beds rather than change them and don't refill the toiletries daily - but it was clean and quiet. They also suspend maid service on Sundays. We had an electrical failure in our room and they were able to move us to a nearby room with no problem. We had a great view of the Waverly bridge and the skyline from one of the rooms.

The manager [...] pooh-poohed our complaint that that the window dressing leaked and woke us up in the middle of the night; at 3:00 pm we awoke to a "drip drip drip" from the ceiling into our luggage on a chair! We called for 20 minutes trying to get help, but no one answered. Again, [...] thought this was acceptable. What if we needed an ambulance? Apparently, she doesn't care.Bottom line: this hotel has serious water issues, which might not be a problem in a place like Athens; but let's face it, in Edinburgh, there's always rain. Not only that, but she also tried to explain away a toilet that did not flush properly -- a complaint we did not lodge, but someone did.DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

Modern day in an older BuildingThis Suite Hotel provided all the modern facilities in a well converted Established building. The high standard of Customer Service was established on our entry and was maintained throughout our stay. The well trained staff dealt with our requests and we were very happy with the room and facilities available. We made the booking at the last minute and everything that could be done for us was done. My husband is disabled and was accommodated with helpfulness and consideration. We would certainly recommend this accommodation and hope to stay here again. We would have to commend the Reception staff for their assistance in helping my husband sort out difficulties he had, unrelated to the accomodation, they were exceptional.

Fantastic!! Book this hotel if you want a gorgeous hotel right in the very heart of the Royal Mile. I lived in Edinburgh for 6 years so know my way around - but truly believe this is the best spot to stay if you are a visitor to Scotland's capital city!

Luxury break with great accommodationThe staff were extremely helpful, and although there was a problem with the shower it was effeciently delt with and we were offered another room Would love to stay in these apartments again as we were thoroughly looked after.
