Tthe four queens is an OKAY Fremont hotel, the staff is rude & the rooms are just... decent.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
We stayed 3 nights in the Four Queens in November 2008. It was very well situated and overall we were very happy with it.We had Room 620 which faces The Freemont Experience and it was quite noisey. This was not an issue for us but if this concerns you I would ask for a quiet room at the rear. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was very nice. It had a large flat screen TV. My wife and I liked the location. It was very convienient situated and the strip was easily reached by the Deuce Bus. $2 each way or $5 for a 24 hour pass.

This was my first trip to vegas and I am ready to go again! We stayed during March 2009. The staff are wonderful and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The food was also wonderful. I had a wonderful time and just received a voucher for free room for two nights and two free dinners! I am planning my next trip now.

My husband & I stayed here for our 30th anniversary. First time in Vegas and we were very pleased with the 4 Queens. From the front desk on we were treated great. The room was roomy and clean and the bed was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in away from home. Housekeeping staff always had the room in great shape when we returned from a day of sightseeing. Room service had great food and fast service. The Magnolia Cafe has very good food. Our room was on the 5th floor in the North Tower which is under the canopy of the light show for the Fremont Street experience. It was absolutely awesome. We didn't even have to leave our room to enjoy the show. The hotel even though it was fully booked was quiet. When we return to Vegas we will be staying at the 4 Queens again.

Good Hotel. Smaller casino with friendly staff. Neat rooms with comfy beads. Decor a little outdated but price makes up for it. Located old Vegas with lots of other casinos and food in walking distance.

Have to hold handle down to flush, sink pipes make noise when using faucets. Bed soft and TV menu buttons broken. Have to pay to park since they do not own their garage. Not aware of any other Casino charging for parking. Not enough staff behind front desk. Room location can be noisy with adjoining doors and Fremont Street music and people.

This hotel, although a little old in amenities, is offered at a great price, clean, quiet, and amazing location for downtown. Also, the hotel is willing to give comps easily.

My son has a disability and often spends much of his time in the room. We requested a room on the North side, 6th floor or below so that he could stay in his room and watch the light show from the comfort of the room. The staff was extremely accomodating and we had a wonderful time watching the Fremont Street Experience. I can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. They were Wonderful! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Las Vegas.

If you are not concerned with being able to lay by the pool then the Four Queens is a great place to stay. Our room was recently renovated and very clean. Bathrooms are small and in need of some repair, but still very clean. Room was just as nice as any downtown and included a flat screen TV.

The hotel is pretty old now - the location was good if you want to be in the older part of las vegas. Hotels in the Strip area are much better but of course you pay the price!

I have stayed here since i was 5 years old, when freemont street was an actual street with cars and not people. I love the downtown experience and I like this hotel. I have stayed at other hotels but this one i like. Our room overlooked the freemont experience and if you dont mind the loud music in the middle of the night its an awsome show. We request these rooms each time. Heck who sleeps in Vegas?????

I took my wife to Vegas for a birthday weekend getaway and we had settled on staying up at the Fremont St part of town rather than the Strip. No regrets at all on selecting the Four Queens as our "base camp". Not too far a drive (distance-wise) to get onto the main part of the Strip for the show we went to see (KA at the MGM) if you don't mind the gridlock along the Strip and Koval. The only negative things about our room were that we had requested a non-smoking king room and we got a smoking king room instead, and the TV channel selection was pretty minimal --- even dismal. Oh and the in-room coffee supplies were inconsistently topped up. Now the smoking /non-smoking thing : we could have, and in hindsight SHOULD have, gone back down to the check-in desk and had our room changed, but we didn't so we can't whine too much I guess. By the end of the third night there, all of our clothes had absorbed the smoky smell so I knew we were in for a lot of laundry when we got home. So far as the TV channel selection, I know people don't go to Vegas to watch TV, but you've gotta return to your room and unwind/rewind sometime, and it's only natural to want to flick on the tube during these brief visits to your room... We checked out some of the other local establishments of course --- Fremonts Hotel&Casino have a great weekend brunch buffet for 11pp, Golden Nugget have an excellent pool area with a water slide that runs through an aquarium. All in all, excellent value for money.

just average nothing stood out and nothing bad, only let down was the Magnolia cafe they have there in 3 days there was always a wait any time any day. So we would just go across the street to Binions or Fitz's with no wait time whenever we went. And one of our rooms was not ready till 5 pm and they really didn't care but when we checked out at 5 minutes after the check out time they sure let you know. Lucky our other room was ready so it was no big deal.

My wife and i just returned from a 4 night stay and enjoyed every minute of the stay. The checkin was a breeze and every staff member went out of their way to make our stay a pleasent one. We requested a room in the south tower to get away from the noise of freemont street and they gave us a room on the 19th floor with a nice view of Las Vegas. The rooms have been updated with new carpet..cherry furniture..flat screen tv's and comfortable beds. The in room safes were a nice plus. The bathroom may be small but it served us well with fine pressure from the shower. The food served at the hotel is very good also and get the free funbook when you checkin for some great deals. The elevators are very quick and the entire downtown crowd is friendly and down to earth. Nice Job...we will be back.

The suite was superior to any room that I have stayed in while visiting Las Vegas. The location was great but the casino could use more table games.

Gambling is good at the 4 Queens with selection of slot machines. I stayed there in November '08 and had a good experience. June '09 was just as good. Took bus to the strip and visited other hotels. Buses run frequently and it takes about 1 hour to get from Downtown to the Luxor which is at the end of the Strip whereas a cab is $50, the bus was $7 for a 24 hour pass and well worth it.

As always, the stay at the Four Queens was just what we were looking for in the downtown area. Had friends that stayed at the MGM and came up to eat with us at the Main St. Station. They will stay downtown next time, as we will ( at the Four Queens ) We like the close casinos and did most of our playing at the Queens. The food was good and prices are great. Can't wait to get back there for another 4 day stay. Were there Feb. 01, 2009 thru Feb. 05, 2009.

We stayed in a regular room, and all the rooms here have been refurbished. They are really nice sized rooms, and all have HD Flat screen TV's, and all have a coffeemaker in the room, which is a HUGE plus. A tip, though, the tap water is not very good, so get water bottles from the casino, and make your coffee with that - it will make a big, big difference in the taste. The bathroom is rather small, but certainly functional, and we were pleased with the cleanliness. We were in an odd numbered room on the 8th floor of the South Tower, which I thought was the preferred place, but you can still boogie to the show outside until after midnight. Magnolia's has great specials with a player's card and decent food. The slot machines were ok - not too tight, but not quite loose enough either! (Are they ever?) Drink service is pretty good here, and other staff are very nice, especially bellhops. Give it a try.

If your budget is tight and you want a clean hotel room with good food, the Four Oueens Hotel is the place to stay. Another plus, the water pressure for showering is sensational.
