very relaxingWe loved this hotel! Helen, the owner, and all the staff were very helpful and did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The sense of calm is wonderful and the therapies made the break that little bit more special.We shall return.

4 day stay. Very friendly proprietor and staff. Hotel was very relaxing and calm. Hot tub was great. Room was a little small but otherwise fine. A large number of treatments and therapies available at reasonable price (make sure you give a bit of notice so therapists can be contacted. Vegetarian cooked breakfast of good quality. I only had one dinner which was light and made with fresh ingredients. A very enjoyable hotel to stay in with a personal touch.

We had a very pleasant stay here. Very friendly staff, nice hotel, sauna and the outside hot-tub were lovely. Close to sea front but very quiet. Massage treatement was the best i've had. Helen and her staff were very attentive. Very good value for money. We will happily stay again in the future.

A great treat completely unexpected and great valueWhat can I say - an excellent hotel, very clean and comfortable both in the guest areas and the bedrooms, brand new en-suite bathroom with top class power shower, very welcoming, peaceful, great facilities including hot-tub, lovely home cooked food, excellent and caring staff, private car parking, 2 minutes from Peasholme park, 5 minutes to the North bay, 10 minutes to shopping centre. 100% genuine review I was very impressed. We also had a couple of treatments which were brilliant and took advantage of the high quality on-site private treatment rooms

Holistic home away from home!Fountains Court Hotel is a small, intimate hotel and has the feel of a ‘wellness’ focussed B&B. The rooms are nicely decorated, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and Helen, the owner, made us feel so welcome that we even found ourselves slipping up and referring to the hotel as ‘home’ a couple of times. I discovered this haven of peace and tranquillity more by luck than good planning as I was actually searching the internet for possible overseas holidays with the added ‘pamper’ factor such as a spa or health retreat. I had always holidayed abroad and I must admit that my husband looked a bit dubious when I suggested Scarborough instead of somewhere like Dubai or Cyprus but thankfully we didn’t regret our decision for a moment!Our main focus in choosing a holiday destination this year was somewhere that offered a quiet, kid free environment (not an easy task in the middle of the Easter holidays!) with the opportunity to relax and unwind, have some treatments and yet still be able to go out and enjoy more active pursuits if the mood took us. I am pleased to say that our stay at Fountains Court ticked all of these boxes and, as well as some heavenly massages, we also managed to fit in some lovely long coastal walks, great lunches and dinners and even a morning of horse riding. It felt wonderfully decadent to be able to wander about in our robes all day if we wanted to and having a treatment centre in the same building was a real bonus. We could come down about 5 minutes before our treatment time and then drag ourselves up the stairs to our room to collapse on the bed feeling all blissed out and loosened up afterwards. The food that Helen serves is fresh and flavoursome and she makes the most perfect poached eggs I have ever seen! Helen is also an excellent judge of local restaurants and, thanks to her recommendation of ‘Peppers’ restaurant, we had 2 of the best meals out ever…and that includes our visit to ‘Gordon Ramsay’s at

This is an absolutely lovely place. A real home from home. Quiet, friendly and relaxing. Helen is fantastic. She looked after us, cooked us breakfast which we had in our room when i felt too ill to go breakfast. She even made me lovely honey and lemon drinks to help me feel better. I had a massage whilst there and my boyfriend also had a treatment. Nothing was too much trouble.I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definately be back to see Helen.

A truly relaxing weekend. Helen and her team were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were wonderful and the accommodation first class. The hot tub, sauna and massages really made my birthday a memorable one. We would not hesitate in recommending Fountains Court to anyone wishing to escape for a relaxing and pampering break!

A wonderful hotel - an oasis that works. There are many that claim to be retreats but this hotel has a genuine place in that category. Many well catered treatments with high quality internal/external therapists. Lovely friendly staff. Some noise from a room above didn't help but nothing to do with the hotel and its staff. You need to go there.

Nice and quite hotel, ideal for relaxing. Landlady was very friendly and knowlegeabl in treatments which are offered at the hotel. Superb hot tub and sauna!

The hotel was easy to find and in a good spot for the North Bay or the town centre. Helen our host was friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and offers a full range of beauty or therapy treatments. She even arranged for me to have a pedicure on Bank Holiday Monday because my feet were sore. The hot tub was fun but we didn,t get chance to go in the sauna. The beakfasts were vegetarian but that didn,t matter as there was lots of buffet style foods to help yourself to and we certainly didn,t miss the bacon. We would definately go again.

My wife and I had a delightful time at Scarborough, made more enjoyable by Helen and her staff at the Fountain Court Holistic Health Hotel. Whilst my wife and I are not your usual health or holistic couple we were made to feel welcome and had a very relaxing time. Helen told me she had only had the Hotel a few years and judging by the decoration she has been very busy, the decor is nutral and clean, the environment is quiet and relaxing and the location is central to most areas of the town and coast.The hotel brochure says, no children, no bacon etc and no night clubers and when I read that I did wonder! But the two days off the bacon, kids and night clubs has done my wife and I the world of good. I have no hesitation in recomending this hotel.

The hotel was just what we needed. It was quiet and restful. We were made to feel welcome and included. It felt more like a home than a hotel.
