The Hotel Fortina is situated on the waterfront in a quieter part of Sliema; with Sliemas shops and facilities just 300m away. It is an all-inclusive property with an edge because the facilities are amongst the best in its class for a four-star hotel. Guests are able to do as much or as little as they choose; with ideal facilities for both relaxing and active types. The Fortina overlooks the islands majestic capital Valletta and has some great views from the front; out to sea and over to Marsamxett harbour. For such a large hotel there is a very relaxed feel and the overall ambience is a mellow and sophisticated one. The Fortina Spa Resort has established itself throughout Europe as one of the best short break spa treatment centres and offers treatments of all kinds to suit all budgets. Decor is elegant and designed to relax the senses. The tropical gardens and pool area offer a warm and tropical presence. The hotel offers 5 indoor restaurants. The specialty restaurants are waiter served; open 6 days weekly; all open for dinner with reservations required and some for lunch. Specialty restaurants may also offer A la Carte menus for a supplement and special dietary requirements will always be catered for. The hotel also features the Garden island pool bar; Lido outdoor bar with great views and evening entertainment; Garden bar; 7 swimming pools; 4 outdoor and 3 indoor and an outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi with the outdoor facilities weather permitting; Thalasso Spa Centre; Sante Spa Centre; Belle Epoque Beauty Centre; and the Hypogeum Body; Mind and Spirit centre. Additional information; Children aged 24 months and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-12 receive a 40pct reduction. Children over this age will be considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.

THE BEST VIEW IN MALTA. VERY GOOD LOCATION.HALF BOARD WITH CHOICE OF 5 RESTAURANTS.I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!

This is good value hotel in a central, convenient location. The hotel and its sister hotel next door have a good choice of restaurants, fitness centre, pool and sun tanning deck. Nice, good sized rooms and easy access to Sliema and Valetta (across the harbour by ferry). My only complaint would be that the bed was not 100% comfortable as it was a bit uneven.

We got an upgrade to from a superior room to a suite, which was very nice. Beautiful view from the hotel swimming pool on Valetta, unique on the island because of the hotel's privileged location. Good spa. Nice bar close to the swimming pool with drinks and live music until midnight.

Reviews of Fortina Hotel **** are mixed, from splendid till sordid. Appraisal and evaluation of the hotel, which calls itself rather grandly a Spa Resort, will depend on the kind of holiday or stay desired and on the age of the guest, with or without children. Using the hotel only as base for discovering Malta, it has no match - great view of Valetta across the harbour, within minutes of ferry to Valetta and busses all over the island, in easy reach of the more touristy places in St Julian's, next door to local resto's and bars; with a pool etc. But for those who do not venture out, it might be very boring, & limited. And for anyone not into English breakfast's, the food offered is a turn-off.

It is a very nice hotel, we got the last min offer for it, take bus 62 from Velleta, just 4min work when you get Sliema, the staff are nice, there are several pools and bars, you can use the fitness center also, the view is super good and the room is huge, breakfast is good as well, but no changing,always the same. There are many shops nearby but it is far away from the nightlife area, you need take taxi after 23:00 or you can chose night bus, it pass every 30min, finish until 3 in the summer.

Lovely hotel - excellent value for money. Had lovely room and breakfast very good. Pool very clean and had fab view of Valetta.Would recommend it and go again!
