We have been coming to the Fog Catcher Inn for years. The location is great, the facility is clean, staff is friendly, breakfast terrific, and they allow pets! A priority for us. It would be a great place for any trip - would like to set up a reunion here! However, their email correspondence needs improvement.

The Fogcatcher Inn has nice updated rooms, which are very spacious. The fireplace was a nice touch and the proximity to Moonstone Beach was great.

If you love the ocean and beach fun for your family this is a great spot. The location is right across the road from a long stretch of beach. Perfect for walking or just relaxing on the sand. The mornings were calm but the afternoons on the beach were windy. The high ceelings were wonderful... so relaxing. The microwave in the room was handy for heating water for hot chocolate or baking a potato for dinner. Speaking of food, the breakfast was ample with hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, hot coffee, breads, muffins, waffles, and teas. The free newspaper was nice too if you had the time to read it. The wireless internet worked well from our room. The warm pool was fun to play in at the end of the day and the HOT tub felt good too. The gas fire place warmed the room... a nice touch.

The room didn't seem to be attended to for our second night as it was our first night. Had to pull the refridgerator away from the wall to plug in.

The room was clean, nice, had lots of room. The front desk was very friendly and the breakfast was good with many selections. The location was great for us in that is was right across from the beach and just a few miles to Hearst Castle in San Simeon. The only issue I had was that there was not an A/C in the room we were in. I was able to open the windows since they did have screens on them...but it was still a bit warm. Nice heated pool. I would stay there again.

The Fogcatcher was a great hotel to stay at! The service was friendly, rooms were clean and location perfect. This hotel also has a very nice continental breakfast included every morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Cambria!

The was my daughter's favorite hotel of the trip. We had perfect weather and the staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The cottages were very cute and comfortable. The only complaint I have is there were a couple of stains on the carpet. Location was perfect!!!!!!!! Right across from the beach. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Was perfectly located right across the street from the ocean. Eating options are walking distance and town is long walk over short drive. Breakfast self service but fine.

The Fog Catcher Inn in Cambria was an enjoyable experience. The tasteful decor and gas fireplace gave our room a cozy feel, while the tall vaulted ceilings prevented us from feeling cramped. Overall the room was clean, but not pristine (i.e., fireplace glass covered with soot). Although our room was in the back and did not have a view, the proximity of this property to the ocean is ideal. Breakfast is provided as part of the hotel price and is fairly substantial consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage, and make your own waffles. Hotel staff was indifferent, doing their job, but not making us feel welcome. All in all, I would stay here again, but would also try exploring other properties to find a more memorable experience.

I would stay here every time! High ceilings, fireplace, and our room had a beautiful view of colorful rose gardens. Delicious extended self serve breakfasts and fresh baked cookies at 3pm! Ocean trail right in front and a skip and a hop to a cute downtown with nice shops. Its awesome!!

I would reccomend to anyone loking for a funa romantic place to stay when visiting California's central coast, to try the Fog Catcher Inn. Don't be turned away by the price, you are getting a superior value. The rooms are much larger than expected, and very clean. The staff is very friendly, and knowledgible abou the area. You are across the street from Moonstone Beach and the great walkways. Hearst Castle is no more then 10 minutes away, and the town of Cambria is a great place to roam around, eat, and even see a local theater company show. (I highly recommend the Main Street Grill's BBQ in Cambria) Families are very welcome at the hotel too, and really, if you want a great vacation, this is a really good place to spend a few days.
