Only saving grace was close location to Temple Bar area. Very run down, old, stale, stinky. No attention to rooms in the last decade at best. Description on web sites are alarmingly inaccurate - we do not recommend this hotel - AT ALL.

While this hotel is an overall good value for money, the rooms are definitely in need of renovation. The hotel restaurant is also closed, however breakfast is available at the hotel next door for about € 10.

The Fleet Street Hotel had "unexpected" remodeling work taking place during the dates of our reservation, but they never notified me via email (even though they had emailed me previously about other things). BUT---They were very kind, and thoughtful to book us in what I can only imagine being a comparable hotel located literally seconds away down the block in Temple Bar. For that, I am very grateful. We were expected at the other hotel (Bloom's Hotel), and not charged a single additional penny! Unfortunately, I can not recommend the Fleet Street Hotel for the simple fact that I did not stay there. I give a rating of a "3" because a rating of a "1" or a "5" would be deceptive.

You can't go wrong here. It's perfectly located for seeing Dublin. The "crack" is at your fingertips. Everything is within walking distance.

We were sent to a hotel around the corner because Fleet Street said current repairs made it inhabitable. The other place was okay--in a loud location but good for seeing Dublin. I do wish we had been given some choices--and some help lugging our luggage through Temple Bar. . . .

The only complaint I have is that the shower does not empty water fast enough, resulting in half the bathroom floor being flooded. This was reported but we were not staying long to see it fixed.

When we arrived, we went sent to a different hotel because their construction workers came a week early.

While the location was good and the customer service of the reception staff was exemplary, this is not a hotel I would recommend to first thing visitors- security seems to be a problem here. the hotel is pretty cold as well (I had to buy a hot water bottle) and the room was poorly decorated. You would also hear what was going on in another room

Great area and great prices. Very basic but clean.

This is a very old, but charming, hotel centrally located in the Temple Bar area, just a few blocks from O'Connell Street. The staff was very helpful. Although WiFi was free, use of the lobby computer was expensive.

Located near the central part of the city, all the attractions are within walking distance. The decor may need a update though.

The location was great. We hadn't planned on spending much time in our room and were only staying for one night, so that is why we opted for a cheaper place. The hotel is missing basics - a clock in the rooms, an ice machine, a vending machine. They really only have the basics - a bed and bathroom. They ask that you turn in your key before you leave the hotel so if there is a fire, they will know who is still in the hotel. Does this mean the place is a fire hazard?! or The wall paper in our room was peeling off the walls and they had patched our ceiling from a previous leak. During the night it began to rain-this is Ireland after all. The ceiling that had been supposedly patched started leaking and a conveniently placed trash can caught the drips all night long. I had to wear earplugs to try to tune out the dripping noise and hope it didn't stop dripping on the bed. It really disgusted me. When we checked out, the clerk acted surprised to hear about the ceiling leak and never offered to comp us for the condidtions. You get what you pay for - and less.

Stayed in a single room with ensuite - clean. Can't go past the location.

It was okay. I thought the staff was great. I didn't like leaving my keys at the front desk everytime I left. They said it was in case of a fire. The hair dryer started on fire. One day I made tea and they didn't leave a spoon to stir it. The bathroom had a towel heater that had exposed wires. It was kind of scary. Other than that, it was okay.

The picture and description of the Fleet Street Hotel was very mis-leading. The picture was nothing like the actual hotel. There was no restaurant and no Irish breakfast, as was advertised in the Orbitz review as included in the room rate. There was drug dealing and lots of drunks on the street all hours of the night. The entrance and reception area were both dirty with very old, smelly furniture and curtains. I was very apprehensive about staying there at all. The room was a bit cleaner, but I would never stay there or recommend it to anyone. We were based in Dublin, so did not have to spend much time in the room except to bathe and try to sleep. We actually tried to change hotels but the big rugby match and a concert had everything booked up. The fact that we had already paid our money and had no recourse to get a refund put us at a disadvantage. We do plan to enlist American Express to assist us in getting at least part of our money back.

Good location but the hotel is looking a little shabby, its clean but careworn. The noise from the local area doesn't filter through to the rooms.
