You can not have even a coffee maker in your room, which might be usual in Las Vegas but very inconvenient to a guest.

My room was clean and ready to go when I arrived. I didn't have a view, but then I wasn't in the room that much. I ate in one of the restaurants in the hotel and the food was very good. I had my nephew and niece to dinner on Thursday and we ate at the hotel. I wasn't sure where to buy the show tickets for Donnie and Marie, so I didn't go. Over all I truly enjoyed my trip. I have yet to stay in the same hotel while in Las Vegas, but I would probably stay here again. Pool was closed while there.

The room did not have a refrigerator that was expected from the discription. The pool was relaxing and fun, but the security started mvoing chairs with people's stuff on them, while the people were not there. otherwise, the hotel suited our need, and was a great place to stay with everything you could want.

Friendly staff, but resort fee surprised me. No coffee maker in room. Snotty lifeguard. Nice. Thanks.

Great location. It's right there in the middle of all Vegas happenings. We were even given an upgrade which made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended - especially if you book your room way ahead of time.

Location and amenities. Room had stains in carpet, room service only came once to clean room. Great hotel to stay in. Go room is more for couples. stickwith deluxe if you are going with a group of people. Buffet was not good.

The good stuff: perfect location & cheap cheap price. We had the older unrenovated rooms, and they were in good nic. The not so good: seemed clean, until we looked under the beds...lots of left-behinds from other guests! Only other grumble is the layout if you bring your own car. The garage is at least 5 mins walk from the lobby, so you walk there and back to check in, then back again with all your bags after you've parked (couldn't see any trolleys in the garage) to go to your room. Then there's the obligatory promenade through the casino as the elevators for your room are (of course) on the far far far side of the casino. It took just under an hour to get to our room. Other hotels seemed to have a much more compact/accessible design. Overall - would I stay again, or recommend to friends? - absolutely - the price is a complete steal for such a well-located and historic hotel. Just travel light, and don't look under the beds!!

OK, so this is the "iconic" Flamingo hotel, but don't fall for the flowery descriptions and pretty pictures in the promotional materials. Upon arriving, the check-in line was yards long and they only had two desk clerks. So, after waiting close to 30 minutes, we finally got checked in and headed to our room. What we found was pretty disappointing: old, worn-out carpeting, scratched and dented furniture, hairs on the bathroom floor and mirrored doors on the closet that looked like a two-year-old had put his sticky hands all over them. I called Housekeeping and asked if they would come and "touch up" the room, but that was never done. During our stay, we discovered several items in the room that had apparently left by previous occupants but never picked up by the room attendant: a full bottle of nail polish under the bed, (along with wadded up paper, etc.), a small pair of scissors by the desk telephone, and a sewing kit perched on the armoire. The best part of the room was the floor to ceiling window overlooking Vegas, (and the hotel's parking deck), but we were on the 22nd floor so the view was actually pretty good...that is what could be seen through the very dirty windows!

The Flamingo is in a great central location on the strip. Not a new hotel, but clean. The food was just average. There is a new restaurant called "The Burger Joint". We had to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get in even though there were open tables. Once inside, we got our beverages quickly, but never saw the server again. We waited 15 minutes and nothing. We decided to leave. We noticed other guests upset there also. Other than that, the stay was pleasant. We upgraded to a better room during check in because of the reviews of the standard rooms. Our upgraded room was fine, but I'd hate to see the standard room.

Hotel placed us in the old section of the newly renovated hotel. Design is very dated and requires quite a walk from parking structure to elevators, the walk from the elevators to individual rooms is also VERY far. Would not recommend this hotel if you have elderly guests in your party. NO eating establishment beyond a cold offering food stand with very limited selection after 11PM on weekdays, room service said it would take almost two hours to get our food to us because of late night demand. Staff at the front are very courteous, support staff hugely disappointing. There were trays and cups left outside of rooms that were lucky enough to receive room service that were left in the hallways for almost a whole day! I cannot stress enough how dangerous this hotel is to people who are not too mobile or for the elderly, if there were a fire in the hotel, it would be a disaster with the distances to exits and the lengths of the halls.
