They are overlooking the beach with some of the rooms having a beach view. Heading east from the Sangster's International Airport in Montego Bay the resort is located in the heart of downtown Ocho Rios. They are closest to the Cruise ship docks and across the street from Margaritaville home of Reggae Explosion. It is within close proximity to all the area's top attractions. They are 90 minutes form Montego Bay Airport 120 minutes from Kinston Airport, 10 minutes from Dunn's River Falls and 10 minutes from Dolphin Cove. They are 109 km from Montego Bay Airport.

The name of the restaurant is the Coconuts Restaurant. It seats up to 75 persons. The restaurant serves Breakfast, lunch and Dinner It serves local and international cuisine.

The security staff is great, but the front desk staff is not that great. There was 3 of us check in; the room that we got it was a full size bed plus a sofa bed (So if you are planning to stay make sure you call them and tell them you want to full size bed). The sofa bed was broken, so one of my friend had to put the mattress on the floor in order to get a better sleep, because the front desk closes at 11PM. We had to tell front desk almost everyday that there was 3 of us to please tell the maid to leave 3 towels in the bathroom. The AC was broken and some the drawers from the kitchen were broken too. The place is good if you are planning to stay out all the day and come back really late just to sleep. The other plus size is walking distance to Margaritaville, and a few minutes by car to Dunns River Fall & Dolphin Cove.

I have visited jamaica numerous times for this year. I like to take minuture vacation because of the job i do,but say this was one of my worst time spent in Jamaica because of this hotel.The first room i put in the toilet couldn't flush,i had to stay there for one night.The staff was very nice but the rooms are out dated very run down and anyone is allowed to walk on and off the property without question ask,only the bedroom has aircondition if u want to sit at table and or watch a little tv be prepared to be swelthered to death from the heat.I would not recommend this pleace to my enemy,they need to modernized period and don't want to go on the beach because this resort do not i repeat do not have beach chairs.This was my worst time in Jamaica.

I love my stay at Fisherman Point. The staff were very helpful at all times. Tropical Storm Gustav came through and everyone made you feel like family. I extended my stay 4 days. I will be back there. See you all soon

I love this place. It is very simple no frills! This is not an all inclusive. you pay for what you get. .the staff is wonderful. the location is greaat. I love this place because one can see how the natives live. and experience real jamaica. the food is excellent. thesecurity gaurds walk the grounds 24/7. they dont let any strangers in. it is a very safe place the location is great !!!!! the hotel is close to everything.in walking distance. there is also a local taxi service on the premices that can take you on some tours.Ive stayesd here 3 times.I LOVE THIS PLACE...

I had the pleasure of staying at the fishermans point resort for the second time two weeks ago. Not much has change since last April of 2007 when i last stayed. If you are looking for a place to stay that does not pump and pry you to enjoy yourself with fancy resturants and a sometime bothersome entertainment staff Fisherman's Point is the perfect place for you! It's convient location is within a 5 to 10 minute walk from a local grocry store (beware of the sidewalk saleman on your way) where the sweetest young men will cart your groceries back to your room for a few dollars. The view from your bedroom balcony is a wonderful landscape of boats and cruise ships docking for a day or longer makes for great pictures. The housekeeping can get a little getting use to but a tip to the wise if you just want to have a lazy day inside set your bath towels and garbage by the door and they will get the hint to leave you alone. When you surface from your slumber fresh towels and liners will be awaiting you! In all you get what you pay for! I enjoy staying at the fishermans point because i know what to expect, I look forward to staying again next year.

My review is very much the same as the one noted here welcome to Hell... The rooms were old, dirty, and has mold. Security there was none, a guy sitting in a lawn chair raising a chain as cars drive in. The bath room gave me the creeps, it was dirty, with mold. The fan in the bathroom was covered with mold and soot. Please dont stay here its nothing like the pictures. Its old, molded, dirty.

We had two room here.. with all the bad reviews i was scared and a little negitive! but this hotel is perfect for the price paid. i dont need a 5 star hotel to b happy.. i need a super 8 style that allows my friends to come and go.! Terrace the maitence man can be trusted with ur life. all the girls at the front desk r more than helpful! Hotel is safe. the maids were honest and work for the tips we leave so think about that. they make little money this hotel is perfect for families.. we werent bothered by the music from margaritiaville at all! we will stay here in feb and again next year in aug so i reccommens anyone to stay here and to write a fair review! everything worked in the kitchen... ice was a little hard but u r in walkin distance to the bestplaces in JA! one love

Security consisted of two old men in lounge chairs raising and lowering a tow chain. Taxi drivers washed cars in parking lot. Large appliances on residents balconies. Paint in pool peeling, algae in kid's pool, and all furniture on pool deck was broken and beyond repair.The two bedroom suite turned out to be a bedroom and kitchen with a bed in it. The beds were made out of two by fours, unfinished and unpainted, just sawed off at the ends. Mattresses were foam slabs, not proper mattresses with a cover. Mold and mildew covered all lighting fixtures and the ceiling fan was covered with black soot and mold. The tiles in the bath surround were propped up against the walls and not glued to the wall. There was enough hair on the bathroom floor to make a nice toupee for some bald man. The closet was filled with black plastic trash bags, full of trash. The permanent residents put out styrofoam trays filled with chicken offal; livers, gizzards, entrails for the ferral cats which roam the property. There is no beach, you must walk one block to the beach and what one finds is a small area of water sectioned off from where the cruise ships dock. The "resort" directly next to where cruise ships dock. Huge nightclubs across the street with beach parties going on until 4:00am, so don't plan on sleeping.

I stayed in Room 41 from July 3 - 10. It was a nightmare from Hell. The refrigerator did not work telephone did not work. I was sick on the night of July 7th and couldn't call the front desk because the phone was of of order for two days. One morning I woke up to find a big cockroach on its back in the living room. They did not give you the normal amenities such a small bottle of shampoo or conditioner. I received a small bar of soap for showering and they did not change it. I had to go out and buy all of the above mentioned. I booked through an online travel agency. It's a shame that they did not visit before they start to sell a package to this D U M P. To call it a resort is demeaning. Do not go there. You'll regret it.
