First Hotel Esplanaden

Behind the Royal Palace and by the waterfront, beside the Little Mermaid, the First Hotel Esplanaden is located in Frederiksstaden - the former residential area of the Danish nobility. Established in the 17th century, the architecture of Frederiskstaden was to be the ideal part of town and intended to celebrate the city, its citizens, the King and divinity by connecting the harbour of Copenhagen with the Royal Palace, the Marble Church and the luxurious residences for the nobles.

The neighbourhood offers a plethora of architectural masterpieces and an A-Z of unique boutiques and restaurants. It is within 10 minutes of the world's longest pedestrian street and the scenic Nyhavn harbour site. Quick and convenient links are available to the international airport, which is 12 km away.

The grand 5-storey First Hotel Esplanaden comprises a total of 117 modestly decorated, high-ceilinged rooms. Various facilities are available to guests, including a foyer with 24-hour reception, lifts, a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet and newspapers. It is possible to make use of the in-house laundry service and those arriving by car may park in the hotel car park.
