This small hotel is exactly what is says it is on its website. Lovely rooms with nice local furniture and paintings, fresh flowers, the most helpful staff who really make you feel welcome. Negril was pretty quiet when we were there, though Firefly had fair occupancy most of the 10 days. The other guests were all friendly and from USA, England, Germany and Italy. Our penthouse suite had unbelievable views and was perfect for us (we didn't mind the 21? steps). Thanks especially to Nicola, Maxine, Oswald, Narissa and the watchman (sorry, can't remember his name). We shall return next year.

I recently returned to New York from Firefly and I’m already planning my return. I spent a wonderful week at Firefly with my family and we loved it! The location could not be any better – right on the spectacular Negril white sand beach with the clearest blue water I’ve ever seen. The weather was lovely, rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff and owners made us feel at home. I enjoyed the breakfast at Firefly’s beach bar and the Tuesday night free rum punch party with the bonfire was fun for the adults and also for the children (just punch for them without the rum). Firefly really is the perfect getaway!

manager watched you all the time like your going to take something. I needed to make a phone call and they wouldn't let me use the phone, I offered to pay. Nothing to do there. Thank God that down the beach things were going on. If you likie to be nude this is your place. Staff was rude and getting into your room took forever. Never Never again.

The best place we have found in all my visits to the Caribbean. Charming buildings, lovely garden (quite rare in Negril), beach front with smiling barmaids at the bar. helpful staff who speak to you by name, it is ideal for couples. I also made friends with some families with children. I (Sandra) found it great to go topless on the beach (something I have always wanted to do). We didn't mind having no phone in our room, and the TV was kinda small, but we did have a kitchen. everything was clean, the price was less than some of the hotels we would not even wish to stay, Really quaint and romantic on the beach front. Next time we'll book the penthouse suite for the very best view at this resort.

I have been a repeat visitor of the lovely Firefly since the early 1980's when I used to visit with my parents and sisters. Now I visit at least twice a year with my own family. There is just something about Firefly's rustic charm that made all of us fall in love with the place. We love the hospitality of the friendly staff. The beach is great, not to mention our daily breakfasts at the beach bar. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Who could ask for more?

I have stayed at Firefly three times this year. I have stayed at other resorts and always come back to Firefly. The location is first class , a 50 yard walk and you are on a stunning white sand and clear blue sea beach. I found the staff very professional and attentive at all times. There are a wide selection of restaurants within walking distance and live music usually happening at one of the many beach bars. The bar is a great meeting place for all, not just guests and you can always find out whats going on. With great service from Maxine and Shawn, always with a smile. I have no problem with recommending Firefly to my friends and family and will certainly return myself.

My family and I have stayed at Firefly a few times and we intend to go back again. On every visit we have been greeted with clean rooms and friendly staff. There is a wonderful garden and beach ideal for my 3 young children. The beach bar came in handy for an easy breakfast and/or lunch. I know the Negril area of Jamaica quite well, and Firefly is great value for money (especially when compared to what other small hotels along the strip are charging!)
