Nice hotel. Clean. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Far from downtown. No nearby restaurants to go to. Breakfast is very good.

Rooms were good. Food by pool was bad pool area and restaraunts not a 4 star. Hotel was okay we will not use again it was more like a 3 1/2 star. Hotel had a goofy policy of not allowing outside food or beverage.

I dont know where everyone else was staying, but we just returned from the Fiesta Americana March 30th for 8 days. The hotel was great! Clean, modern, great rooms. Definitely a 4 star hotel in Mexico. The pool was clean, the beach was nice, not real sugar sand, little pebbly but still a nice beach. Staff was helpful and polite. All requests were met. Grocery store across the street where you can buy food and bottled water really cheap. Drank the water at the hotel and everything was fine. Hotel food was ok, didnt think it was expensive. The dollar was 14 pesos which was great for us. took the bus to the malecon (boardwalk) everynight (about 40 cents), was a happening place. Always full of people. Great restaurants and places to shop. Get bugged a little, but if you just ignore it, no problem. The food everywhere was fantastic. Took the local bus back to the hotel at around 10 p.m. Felt very safe in pv. definitely am going back next year. we checked out a lot of the hotels in the area and liked the Fiesta the best. Not a lot of activities, but we were there for the rest and sun.

We loved this place! Large, clean rooms all with ocean front views. Great water pressure in the extra large shower and a balcony perfect for viewing the sunset every night. Here's a tip for the a/c. If it doesn't stay on continuously make sure to call down to front desk. It runs on a timer to conserve energy when nobody's staying in the rooms, but in our case they forgot to turn it on so that first night was a bit uncomfortable, but after that no problems. I think the hightlight of this hotel is the pool and beach setup. They have a massive pool with plenty of lounge chairs to go around and a swim up bar as well. While most of the families were at the pool, my husband and I were lounging at their beach. Although its a little narrow, its also pretty long and they have large permanent umbrellas with built in tables along side the lounge chairs and we never had a problem finding a spot. We spent many relaxing days out there with the wailters coming by often the take of your drink and food needs. The food was very good at the hotel, but a little expensive- the beers were , and I think the dinner buffet was around (make sure to ask for your 25% discount!). However, that seemed to be the trend for the town in general. The excursions desk sent us to some resteraunt they said was cheap but it was like p/p. Total rip off. Bottom line,do your research ahead of time. We heard from a couple of locals that the Happy Lobster was a good, inexpensive restaurant but we didn't get a chance to get down there. Next time...

We had a wonderful stay - the staff was super helpful and sent us to some exceptional restaurants and local beaches. The hotel was quiet (low season) and we were pretty much the only americans - everyone was super friendly and we worked on learning more spanish!

Overall we found this hotel to be much better than the reviews indicate. We did have a little trouble checking in as they tried to put us in a room with two queen beds rather than one king as we reserved, we indicated we would wait. The next room they gave us was smoking and smelled terrible, however they promptly reassigned us to a very nice room with a fantastic view. The staff was very nice and the on site restaurants were good, although I highly recommend eating some meals in downtown PV. One thing I did not appreciate was the hotel's policy of not allowing you to bring in food or drinks, especially as there is a supermarket across the street. We smuggled in some breakfast food, who wants to eat three restaurant meals a day? The concierge was helpful and overall I felt we got a very good deal for the price. Tip: do your money exchange (except for money for the taxi there) at the hotel. The rate was much more favorable than the rip off we experienced at the airport.

Fiesta Americana was fabulous! The staff was super friendly, and helpful with all of our needs and questions. Concierge great restaurant recommendations! Great French restaurant in front of the hotel. The room was clean and much nicer than we anticipated. The pool was great, and the wait staff was very attentive. The only problem was that as a part of our package we were to receive 25% off of all food and drinks, and we had to keep to reminding staff, although the front desk told us that it was entered the computer system. Other than that we had no complaints! We will definitely be back!

The ambiance was unique; it was like a little jungle going down to the pool. At first, the room smelled musty and initially we were not impressed, we certainly warmed up to it, though and enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived at Puerto Vallarta we knew we were in for a surprise, but we were not expecting it would be so bad. Upon arrival at Fiesta America, we were handed our room key and a lock for the safe deposit box. You actually carried a lock...how antiquated, I thought to myself; how would I use it. We asked for a different room, and the second one, the air conditioning was not working. It was 92 degrees and we were tired, annoyed, and we just laid down for a nap. We could hear everything, and I mean everything. Not a pleasant trip. I would never suggest this hotel (more like a motel) to anyone. We have traveled extensively through Mexico and we never experienced anything like this. Dirty beach, small pool, unkempt rooms, over priced food (cafeteria style), and rudeness beyond our imagination. NEVER AGAIN.

My boyfriend and I went down to PV to get away for the week, and were both VERY pleased with this hotel. Although the hotel is older, the staff keeps it in excellent condition. It was always clean, and they went out of there way to keep us happy and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone-both those traveling with a family or friends. Awesome place!

Our last visit at Fiesta Americana prior to this trip was during the Easter Holiday when the town and hotel were very busy. We decided to try it during the off season for a more relaxing experience. The weather is different. Hot, humid and rain storms almost every evening, but that was to be expected. What I didn't expect was the continued intrusive noise level-- not from the Fiesta Americana, but from adjacent resorts nearby. Awful bass thumping that seemed to cut right through the walls at night. The amplified noise (I wouldn't call it music) blared out every day starting at mid-morning and continued all day and into the late, late night hours. The incessant "thump, thump, thump" could be heard even with the balcony doors closed at 2:30 PM. When it stopped, I don't know because I fell asleep to the pounding amplifiers each night. How these neighboring resorts get away with this inconsiderate behavior is puzzling to me. But as a result, this is sadly our last stay at the beautiful Americana.

Location. Some deception. Overall, excellent hotel for vacation. However, we were surprised when upon checkout that there was a charge each day for the coffee in room. Assumed it was complimentary. Also, a bottled water on the counter in bathroom, which almost opened. On the backside of it was a sign saying it was 42 pesos! Lots of money for a bottle of water.

When we checked in, we were handed a safe deposit lock.....yes a lock. It was old type of contraption. I burst in laughter. A safe deposit box so easy to break into, I would not keep any valuables in the room. We asked for another room and we accomodated but it wasn't any better. We made a huge mistake only to save a few dollars. Overall, overpriced, smells that me my eyes tear, food was insipid, and the beaches way below standard. I have never been to any place like Puerto Vallarta. Save yourself some money and enjoy Cancun...it's more adept to American Standards.

My 13 year old daughter and I stayed at the Fiesta Club Room for 6 nights. During that time, we went around town a lot via bus or taxi and I can tell you that I am really happy to have gone with this hotel. The location is GREAT! Not too far from the downtown area where iin my opinion would be too crowded for me but not so far off like the hotels in the Mismaloya airport. If you are the type of traveler that like the amenities of a 4+ star resort but want the closeness of the attractions nearby without having to sacrifice openness this is for you!

This hotel provided everything we were looking for. The staff was attentive and very friendly. The hotel was spotless and the grounds well-kept with beautiful vegetation. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The bus into town stopped right out front. We also enjoyed the supermarket and mall a short distance away. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet day and night. So, for sunbathing, relaxing, eating, and mingling with the locals, this place can't be beat. There are many tours available from the hotel, too, although we didn't participate due to lack of time. We did indulge in a massage which took place outside under the palapa with the ocean breezes and waves crashing

Very friendly staff and top quality facilities N/A I would recommend the Fiesta Americana in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico and plan to revisit at a later date.

The resort lobby is actually quite beautiful, but it's open to all wild birds It was inundated with pigeons, which are notorious for carrying MERSA; a highly infectious Staph infection. My wife and I were actually at the lobby bar having cocktails before dinner and these pigeons literally walked right up to her. Not a good thing before dinner. A bit too indigenous for us. The hospitality was very good but you may want to learn a little Spanish before embarking to Fiesta Americana. It is not designed for a romantic get-away. It's more of a family oriented hotel. I found many local from different states or municipalities staying there with their incredibly large families; many children. I guess we chose this small resort based on online travel website, and other web reviews. Do not be mislead. We will return to the Mayan Riviera, which is unspeakly beautiful and clean.

Wonderful experience! A beautiful hotel with a beautiful room that had a view of the pool and the beach just beyond pool. Entire property spotless and immaculatly maintained. Great resturants. Every single staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
