This was our first trip to Cabo and our first time at a Fiesta Americana. We traveled in April 09, right after Easter. We had a fantastic time! We traveled without our 2 young children and stayed in the hotel section for 4 nights. The grounds are gorgeous, with pools looking right over the ocean. The pools are surrounded by lush vegetation, plenty of umbrellas, and towel/bar service. There are several hot tubs, with varying heat. The one closest to the Peninsula restaurant is warmest. The bar service is impeccable and the waiters are highly attentive (especially *!). The employees are there to make sure you enjoy your vacation, not to ensure a good tip, which we found refreshing. The pool chairs are first-come, first-served, but some people ask the pool bar waiters to put books down to reserve their spots. Feel free to move those. The beach is very accessible and there are cabanas and umbrellas right on the beach. The sand is very course, more pebble-like than sand and can be rough on the feet. Next year, when we return with our boys, we will definitely bring water shoes. The ocean near the hotel is very rocky, with tide pools, so it's not ideal for swimming in, but it is possible. Our room was quite nice, with a good shower, comfortable bed and a lanai. The air temp was good, with ocean breeze or air conditioning. All rooms are ocean view. We ate at the Vina del Mar for breakfast and ordered alacarte and the buffet. Both are tasty. The Peninsula is fantastic, great view and good food. We did not eat at Rosado. The spa is gorgeous and we both had great massages- compliments of the vacation club tour...WHICH WE BOUGHT! and can't wait to go back!

Pros: Staff is super friendly. Resort/rooms/pool area/beach are all very clean. 90 minute timeshare presentation was worth it! We got room credit (used at check-out), 2 free massages, 1 free breakfast, (2) 30% off coupons for on-site restaurants, (2) 40% coupons for additional massages and discounts on all activites we did outside of the hotel. Food was great. Overall, semi-pricey, but it's expected. We don't drink, so no comments on that. Cons: Beach is semi-swimmable and sand is very rough on the feet. Taxi ride to downtown is per person one way. per person per day to use the gym. Some kids at the resort. But that's all! Pros farrrrrrr out weigh the cons. Definitely one of the top resorts in Cabo. When in downtown, try these fine dining restaurants: Lorenzillo's, Romeo Y Julieta and La Fonda. Zoo bar is a fun club (filled with lots of younger adults (16 - 25), but still fun). Go to Senor Sweets for desert... it's at the Peurto Paraiso mall. As for activities, we HIGHLY recommend: CaboDolphins Dolphins Encounter, Wave runbers at JT's and the CaboRey sunset dinner.

Beautiful accommodations, luxury linens and spa style experience. Almost world class cuisine restaurants. Isolated location with overpriced basic food such as snacks and drinks. Need to have moderate $ food/beverage option & complimentary coffee available.

visited week of 04/13/09, property well cared for, staff very helpful, no problems. would stay again, and recommend. On site restaurants expensive but food and selection very good, on site gift shop (sodas, sandwiches, etc) very reasonably priced.

Exceptional service, very accomodating and friendly, professional and efficient. Great beach and pool area. Rooms were very nice with patio and water view. Penninsula Restaurant service and food was exceptional as was Rosata, both on premises. Services are a bit pricey and even coffee in room is not free, but our stay there was worth every penny. Good location and very safe. Excellent spa services. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing, pampered vacation.

We just returned from an amazing stay at the Fiesta Americana!!! We absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED our stay here! It is the most beautiful, exsquisite resort and the customer service here is AMAZING! we are a young, fun loving couple and it was the perfect location for us...we could easily travel into cabo san lucas for a few hours. we preferred to spend most of our time at the resort however...once you're in paradise...its tough to be away :)

Quiet, romantic environment. Can hear surf from room, pool, and a restaurant. Live music every evening. Too many small kids at pool, in hot tubs, even at pool bar. Noisy families woke us early every morning. Beautiful, romantic environment. Should have more variety in live music - was same musician with same songs every night. Should have shuttle service to San Jose and to airport because taxis are very expensive. Should have separate pools for families and adults-only. Should limit noise from edge trimmers, lawn mowers, etc.

My husband and I took our two girls, 18 and 24. It was our first trip to Cabo San Lucas. I read reviews on several web sites before choosing this resort. We made a good choice. The grounds were beautiful. One of the few hotels with a tropical landscape. The beach was amazing. Part of the beach was rocky. Watching the waves break over the rocks made the beach more interesting. At low tide there were several tidal pools and everyday people were snorkeling. The spa is very nice. We had two rooms in the grand club section which gave us grand club privledges. It cost a little more, but we enjoyed the complimentary snacks and beverages all day. We ate breakfast there. There were fresh fruits, meat, breads, and cheese. It was very nice. It kept us away from the tempting breakfast buffet. We ate most dinner meals in Cabo. It is $20 round trip, but worth not having to drive. The resort is all about relaxation so if you want activities other than beach, pool, spa, or golf you will need to go in town or do an excursion. The only negative was some costruction noise due to villas being built on a nearby hill. We could barely hear it on the beach. We attended the time share presentation. It was high pressure, maybe worth the 3 hours for the $300 we saved on dolphin adventure and horseback riding. Simply, we will stay at his resort again when we return to Cabo. I am very picky about where we stay on vacation. This resort met all my expectations. We also felt very safe, the resort is in a gated community. Book your transportation from the airport prior to travel so you can avoid any confusion at the airport.

i loved it here the people were friendly and curteous, when i called for laundry service it was picked up in ten minutes and returned within a few hours pressed and starched!!! when i needed snorkeling or fishing gear they were easy to get from the activities director(think his name was jose or juan) the place was very clean almost immaculate. i work in the construction field so i noticed little things but no one else in the group noticed until i asked on saturday night. the food was very good and the tequilla was great, i couldnt walk past a single person on thier staff without an "hola and a smile" that is what really made the place comfy. the staff answered every question i could possibly think of and they did it fast and were well versed in english for the most part(more so than i expected). the bell hops were quick with my luggage and very respectful of my things, and the valet and the concerige were the most helpful people. if you go please take the time to travel to a resturant in san jose called Tequillas they have a very beautiful courtyard dining room and a great meal selection, also talk time to go on the glass bottom boat tour(probably not worth the money but its pretty cool to see the sea lions up close and ask lots of questions about the rocks and beaches! i would love to go to this resort again although it is short on kids activities! HAVE FUN!!!!

smaller resort where you never waited for anything. Excellent staff and the nachos with shrimp in the Pennisula restaurant is outstanding. Spend the extra $$ to stay in the Club level - continental breakfast and cocktails every night with horsdourves were outstanding. It was well worth the $$ -

The ambiance and the landscaping. Too many steep steps; not enough elevator access to rooms. A very scenic, clean and pleasant place to stay for anyone. Would surely go again!

This place is very nice. We went there for spring break with our family of 6. Our rooms were on the third floor 50 steps from the main terrace dining area. The breakfast buffet was spectacular...Every morning we ate there and it was wonderful. The host was always there directing things and he is really special. I would find him the minute you check in. Rooms were just big enough and very clean. Each room had a small balcony overlooking the pools and through the trees, you could see the ocean. I was able to access internet from my room. I would wake every morning and go up to the lobby to watch the sunrise while accessing the wireless internet. The lobby bar area has a spectacular view of the ocean. You could see whales flopping around all the time. (Bring binoculars to see them better). They made sure we took the time share presentation which was taxing for sure-2 hours. But, they gave us breakfast, and paid for two greens fees on the Cabo del Sol Weiskopf course, which was REALLY a nice track. This hotel is far enough away from the action of the city so as to be quite tranquil but it took only 10 minutes to get to the city. The Peninsula Bar and Restaurant was great as it sits right on the ocean. The food was reasonably priced for a 4 1/2 star hotel. Eat there or at the Italian Restaurant up by the lobby...the Tortelleni pasta dish there was the best I have ever had! I would recommend this place, especially for a romantic, quiet low key vacation.

It was my first visit to Mexico and the experience was once in a lifetime. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. I won this trip through my job and I hope to visit again. The food was wonderful. It was paradise.

We loved this hotel. We expected it to be very nice and it easily surpassed our expectations. The pools were the highlight for us, especially my daughter. It takes a little effort to get to town and may not be a good fit for those looking for some night life. But I highly recommend this hotel for families that want to spend time on a nice beach, eat great food and enjoy the beatiful pools. The service was top notch too.

Phase 3 is under construction, from 7am-6pm, monday through saturday, loud jackhammers, banging-deafening. In the spa they give you industrial ear plugs! This noise is throughout the property-restaurants, rooms and beach! So if quiet and rest is your intent, this will NOT be the property for approx the next year and a half. It is a beautiful resort, but they very clearly cater to the vacation club members and grand club members-hotel guests are 3rd rate citizens. Hotel guests can only sit in certain chairs on the beach, pools, restaurants. The rest are saved for the "important members". (I was actually told this by a staff member!) The Spa is amazing. The restaurants are very good, service excellant, very expensive. No complimentary shuttle to town, taxis expensive but readily available and safe. Room was very clean, nice amenities. Difficult layout of hallways to figure out, and they don't show you to your room(hotel on hill so you go down to go up?) Cabo is beautiful, try another resort.

I came here with my Company back on March 5th. All expense paid. This place was Heaven. The staff was friendly and everyone greeted us with a smile. The food was wonderful. I'm planning on coming back.
