We stayed for three days over Christmas. We were in one of the two room family suites, which was absolutely perfect for us. The teenagers each got their own bed, and we got our own room. It snowed a lot while we were there, and the staff worked very hard to clear the paths and driveways. We had a blast playing in the snow on the beach. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, but certainly utilitarian. I was able to cook a decent (my son said fabulous) Christmas dinner in the kitchenette (two burners, a microwave, and a fridge), and our stockings were hung with care and paperclips over the gas fireplace. The cleaning staff even gave us a box of chocolate on Christmas Day. The staff was also very helpful in getting us to Alpine Meadows for skiing. My only complaint would be the bed - it was a bit hard, and my hips got sore during the night. Overall, it was a great stay, and we look forward to going back some day in the summer to enjoy the beach and summer activities.

This is a great place to stay in North Tahoe because it's right on the beach with beautiful scenery. Choose to spend a little more and book the beach view! We didn't but wish we had. If you choose a standard room you could be put in the "compact" room we were in. It's a really small room above the parking structure. It's really teeny (felt a little claustrophobic) and has a glass door with blinding light from the hall. We had to get creative and close blankets in the door to cover it so we could sleep but it was quiet and we slept well. It didn't sit well with me that we were spending $* for that teeny room - I would have expected *way more* for that price. We came back and stayed another night a couple days later and had a regular room which was better for us. The rooms in the front, however, are facing the street so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. There isn't a ton of traffic, but enough to make it hard to sleep. I really do recommend staying here - just get a room in the far building by the beach, facing the beach, on the top floor and you'll be loving it!

Room was small, but just right for 1 person. Right off of the lake and some rooms had a beautiful view. Rooms weere clean and the staff very friendly. Couldn't beat the price.

This hotel might be better with a Lake Front room. I was in a room right next to the street and it was very noisy. No air conditioner so needed to leave windows open. There was an overwhelming chemical odor, perhaps the new carpet. It was clean and looked to be newly refurbished. Just noisy and strong odor. There were lake front rooms and it seemed a little quieter in that area. Just wave noise.

great restaurants walking distance (sushi, mexican, pizza, burgers) outdoor activities close by, hot tub has a killer view of the lake. rooms are small , clean, and cozy. staff was excellent, morning contin. breakfast not so good.

Great Little Hotel - Our room was on the lake and the morning coffee at this vista was great. We packed in alot in a few days and this was a great central location to travel from. Easy to Reno and central to the whole lake area. The room was comfy and clean, guest services were great! We could walk to breakfast and to the store. Great Hot tub ! I'll be back for sure !!

Nice older motel right on the water. Very clean. Bathroom looked to be newly remodeled. Several restaurants within walking distance. Drug store across the street and grocery store within half a mile. Would stay there again.

"Friendly mom and pop style motel with attention to detail. Great location in Kings Beach on the lake, staff works hard and place is well maintained. Not new or a chain, if you appreciate individuality try Ferrai's. Pools and Hot tub are excellent. Lots of bang for the buck."

"I was very impressed w/ this place. It is on the lake and even though my room was not it didn't matter. The rooms were neat, clean and smelled very fresh. The bed was comfortable. And I will stay here again! "
