Lock and secure ALL of your belongings otherwise it’s guaranteed that you will get robbed... We’ve just returned from Guadalajara and stayed at the Fenix Hotel. Upon our arrival everything seemed to fine until not 1 but 4 of us had some personal items stolen from out hotel rooms. It is incredible that someone is capable of looking through our luggage and stealing from us. My assumption is that it was housekeeping also maintenance. When we spoke to the hotel concierge, they said they would look into who entered our rooms when this happened. They did absolutely nothing. We were then told to speak with the general manager and he did nothing about the situation. It’s as if they really didn’t care and they really don’t. This will continue if nothing is done and from the looks of it these individuals will continue working there and stealing from hotel guests. If you’re looking for a good hotel, look elsewhere. The Fenix hotel was a nightmare.

The experience with the staff was so awe full that I cannot recall anything that I liked. Noisy, unhelpful and rude staff, facilities a little outdated. My experience in this hotel was terrible. I was charged for my room another twice and the staff did not do anything to help. The hotel was noisy and I am sure I would have enjoyed my stay better if I did not have to deal with the payment issue everyday for an hour each time. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and after talking to friends who live in Guadalajara, I heard many bad things on Fenix, the way they treat their customers and their inefficiency.

Great downtown location. Need to ask for additional towels. The hotel is located in a great location downtown. Many historic sites and great restaurants located within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great hotel for the price.
