do not book with this hotel. reserved a room with 2 queen and view of falls. when i arrived none were available. so i got a city view with double beds. completely wrong and they admit it was their mistake. all they offered for compensation was a reduced rate (well of course???). the parking is valet only for $20 per night. it takes 30 minutes to get your car. the valet attendants are inattentive and ignore you. (too busy joking with each other). the room has carpet stains, no fridge, no cold water. wifi is free but you have to beg for the code. on site IHOP was $70 for breakfast for 4!!. lots of construction going on. there is a magic show deal but you get seating a the back of the theatre. can't see the tricks or read the screens. staff is not nice. i will not stay there again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked 3 days at a premium rate for a fantastic view of the falls-what we got was a fantastic view of the casino parking garage. We were informed at check-in that there would be a $20 parking fee. We assumed that covered our stay. Wrong. At check-out we were hit for a $69.60 parking charge. When I complained, I was asked if I had read "the fine print". If I had known I could have parked across the street at the casino for $5/day. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Not happy with this outfit! This is not one of the premier or even 2nd string places to stay in Niagara. The pictures may hype the location but most rooms have a great view of the hotel across the street or less in the opposite direction. We arrived and were told Valet parking was the only option due to construction. Later, after waiting a considerable time for the return of the car, we decided walking would be quicker. Upon arrival we requested a cot for my daughter; we asked again the next morning as well, it never was delivered. The bathtub refused to drain, housekeeping was notified, again a no-show. I guess Canadians except standing in grey water when showering? The parking was $20 per day, when I complained I was told it was the standard rate for the area, regardless of the large sign across the street advertising $5 per day. When I pointed this out the desk operator seemed to go on the attack! We continued our stay down the street in a similar hotel (which waved the parking fee) but with a much better attitude. Still wondering if this is how other Renaissance properties treat their guest, I for one will never find out.

this was a bad experience from the time we got there till the time we left. we booked the hotel room on Orbitz, and it was prepaid before we got to the hotel. upon check in the staff wasn't able to locate my reservation for over half an hour. after they figured out what to do, we got the key for the room. I've stayed at many 4 star hotels, and this one tops the list for the worst looking, and dirtiest rooms ever. we wanted to cancel and go somewhere else, but they will not let us do that. we called orbitz and they weren't able to do anything at all to change our reservation. the manager at the hotel was giving us the run around and said to call orbitz and see what they could do for us. the only thing this hotel was able to do is giving us a better view room, and more updated one the next day, which the price for the second day was 1/2 of what we paid for, and orbitz didn't do the price guarantee like they really say. I've been using orbitz since the begging, and it will not be my first choice of travel any more.

For $20.00 more over our already great rate we were bumped to a top floor room with an oustanding view of Horseshoe Falls. Room was clean, Bed was very comfortable, Across the street from the Casino and walking distance to the falls, Breakfast that was included was disappointing. Pool was great. Overall we really enjoyed it and would stay here again.

We paid for a king size-fallsview room. We got a little bit of falls and a whole lot of parking lot and trees. We asked for a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. Valet parking--but we were not told it was 20 a day until they already drove our car away. On Friday night, we got very bad advice about the fireworks. Got\\ down to the falls park--that is the best. We also were evacuated TWICE for smoke and fires and we were on the 16th floor. Lots of stair walking that night--especially after a full day of walking around. We were not in our room until 12pm. We were offered NO compensation and I still have not received a call back from the Genereal Manager about my complaint. The restaurant is GREAT--great service, great food and actually reasonably priced as far as other resaurants go. I would suggest to pay more money for a different hotel or pay less and walk the extra block.

We were celebrating our anniversary. It was an amazing getaway. As soon as we arrived the service was absolutely amazing! We upgraded our room and it was wonderful. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. The walking distance from point A to B was perfect. The rooms were clean and the staff was most helpful! I will be sure to return to this hotel. Couldn't ask for anything more.

The room was great - about the same price we paid for a room in the middle of nowhere on the trip there. The only problem we had with the construction was walking around it - no noise. While the hotel only says "River View" we had a side view of Horseshoe Falls - beautiful! I'm thankful for suggestion in other reviews to park at the casinio for $5 a day rather than at the hotel for $20 - saved us $$$. It will be much nicer once the bridge from the casino to the hotel is completed. Location is great - we were able to walk everywhere - taking the park bus "people mover" for more distant attractions.

We stayed at this hotel for my bday. We left some pills we needed in the console of our car and called the valet to see if we could come down and get them. They said they would get them for us and bring up to our room. 2 hours and 3 phone calls later we still did not get the pills, so we went without them. To add further insult to this, the next day, once we had checked out and got our car from the valet, we checked the console to make sure the pills were still there. We found that the valet staff had BROKEN our console and left the pieces inside of it. I promptly emailed the hotel and advised them of this, asking if they would pay for the damage. They emailed me that they would take no responsibilty for this since we did not report it before we had checked out...this is disgusting! You don't even get your car until AFTER you have checked out! We now know why they didn't bring up the pills, ignorance is bliss! We have to pay out of our own pocket now to get this fixed...I would NEVER stay here again and strongly suggest no one else does either! So much for customer service anymore...

I stayed here for one night during a road trip. To save yourself a few bucks don't bother with valet parking. It's twenty dollars a day plus tips. You can park across the street at the Casino Parkade for five dollars. There is an enclosed walkway from the Hotel to the Parkade at level 5. The breakfast buffet is great but overpriced at ten dollars. A coffee is extra at three fifty. The falls is about a ten minute walk away. The IMAX is about five minutes and a must see. The free wireless internet provided by Telus Hotspot had a weak signal but it might have just been my room location, it worked fine. I would recommend staying here. It's cheaper than the Hitlon next door haha !

This hotel is in a great location just steps away from the falls. Even though we booked a room with city view, we actually got one with a view towards the falls which sweetened the deal even more. The pool and gym facilities are also a great addition (especially when traveling with sporty teenagers).

The fallsview plaza had everything you could want and more. My rooms view was breath taking. It was great sipping my coffee early in the morning and watching the horseshoe falls. And the staff made me feel like I was family home for Christmas. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect I was one block from the falls. Dining was outstanding, we were among some of the finest resturants. That made the my trip even more special for me.

A nice hotel - a bit pricey, but the rooms are comfortable, roomy and well furnished. TV reception was bad on several stations - I can never figure out why this is the case in some hotels. One negative was that the windows were filthy dirty on the outside so we could barely see through them - because of Niagara Falls? My biggest complaint though was that we only stayed here because we wanted a view of the falls. We simply could not see them from this supposed 'Falls View' room. We were on the 7th floor, if I were on one of the top floors maybe I could see the Falls. I think the casino across the street must have been built later and took the 'view'. If you stay here MAKE SURE YOU GET A ROOM NEAR THE TOP if you want Falls View.

The staff in a word ARROGANT!!!!!!!

The hotel is close to the falls and has friendly staff. However, there are charges for use of water bottle and the room does not come with a microwave. The parking has a 20 dollar fee but this was waved after we complained. There also is no continental breakfast. This however seems to be a trend with all the hotels.

Fallsview Plaza was very comfortable. We had a kingsize bed with a whirlpool tub. Our room was nice and clean. Since we live close by it wasn't important that we have a view of the falls. We had our morning coffee in the room but opted to eat our meals elsewhere. We parked across the street at the casino because we have a players card and it was free. Due to the construction beside the hotel, it made it somewhat inconvenient coming and going to the casino. We enjoyed our romantic get-away and would definitely consider staying there again.

Somehow, we made booked and reserved a King bed, fallsview room. When we arrived they told us they over booked their King Fallsview rooms and would give us a lower floor room, not much of a view with a 40 discount off regular rate and free valet parking. (20 savings) We went up to check out the room and we were disappointed with the view and the hotel staff made it right. She called around to various hotels and booked us a better room at the Hilton next door at the same rate we reserved. So even though we didn't stay the night we experienced enough to review. Everyone on staff were very helpful and friendly as they were able to direct and suggest activities. As someone else recommended, parking at the casino across the street is 5 instead of 20. There's an enclosed bridge connecting the casino to the hotel so you won't have to worry about the elements. If you don't mind 20 for valet parking, it is very convenient but the lot is outdoors and uncovered. So during the winter months, it will be cold and icy. They also offer a shuttle service by Embassy suites that circles the major attractions every 30 minutes and stops infront of the hotel. The hotel itself is also close enough to walk to the falls and to the Skylon tower. Access to the pool is inconvenient as you have to walk across the main lobby to get to it. Not a problem for us as we did not use the pool. Being from NY metro area, I was concerned that there is no security measures to gain access to the rooms. Anyone can come and go, but that seems to be the norm at every hotel in Niagara falls.

We were bumped from our king sized whirlpool room to a queen room without whirlpool which was somewhat dissappointing. The room was average with a larger bathroom than most.

Some good friends of ours referred us to the Fallsview Plaza. My boyfriend and I booked a suite and it was gorgeous. We were really impressed. It had a jacuzzi and a dynamite view. There was a nice walkway to the casino. The weather was awful, so good thing the walkway was enclosed!! It was really great. It was nice being so close to Niagara Falls, and also to Clifton Hill. That is a fun area too. I recommend checking it out!The hotel was very clean and fresh. The staff was accommodating. We were quite happy with our stay.
