One regrettable Night at FALLS-PLAZA-HOTEL 6045 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls; Watch out everyone for the $10. scam that goes on at the FALLS-PLAZA-HOTEL, 6045 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls. They billed us a $10. one month from the date of our stay at the hotel claiming that we used the water in the room and tokens. We were well prepared for the trip and we had bought from COSTCO. As for the tokens we never touched them and we didn't even know what they were for. Hence we never even touched them. Now we have been calling the hotel billing department (spoke with Lelan) and Jonathan, the manager, on a $10. charge that should never have taken place. Lelan on August 31, 2009, promised that we will see our refund in the next 72 hours. This never happened. It is a small amount but it is ridiculous that we have to work so hard to get them correct their error. We don’t know if this has happened just to us or are there more culprits of a similar situation with this hotel. One thing we have noted is that the customer service is very poor and the management is wanting. On a few occasions the manager promised that someone in the billing department would contact us within 24 hours and nothing happened as we still had to call back after the 24 hours. We once spoke to a Billing lady called Lelan and she promised us that we will see the reverse within the next 72hrs. This never happened. This back and forth tag has been going on since August 26, 2009, a month from our visit to Niagara. To crown it all during our one night stay we had specifically requested for a crib but we never got one even after reminding them twice when we got there.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The breakfast buffet offered in the morning was amazing. The beds and pillows made you feel like you were sleeping on air. I have never experienced such comfort. The hotel was also centrally located so everything was in walking distance.

The hotel was okay, but the $12 cost for parking was a bit upsetting. Check-in is not computerized so be prepared to wait for a while.

internet access comes from double tree across the street and other surrounding hotels, charged 12 dollars a day for parking, not advertised. Then was told they needed 20 dollars a day to hold in case we used amenities. There was no fridge. There definition of amenities was a bottle of water, a worn out souvenir book and game tokens.

The hotel was very nice, clean, good location. Friendly staff, no bedbugs like other reviews had stated, but little noisy with the water pipes in other rooms.Overall you get a good value for what you pay.

no complaints, in fact, upon arrival we realized that we had stayed in this hotel before

I got there at 3:40 pm and they told me that my room wasn't ready yet and it would be ready at 4:00 pm, which was check in time. They told that to everyone that approached the desk. How could all of those rooms not be ready? And, if they really weren't, then how were they going to get them all ready in 20 minutes? I think that they were covering up the fact that their systems were down and that they were hoping that it would be up and running by 4 pm. I left and came back 10 minutes later, and the line up was out the door. Why didn't they just start checking people in early? I ended up waiting in line for about 40 minutes, and I was early. On top of that, because systems were down I didn't get a key to my room until 10 am the next morning, which was 2 hours before I checked out. Quite inconvenient. So, every I left my room, I had to wait for someone to come up and let me in. Oh and did I mention that the walls and doors were paper thin? The shouting neighbours and screaming kid across the hall talking back to his parents was not fun to listen to late at night or early in the morning.
