my college-age daughter and i had the pleasure of visiting the Fairmont Turnberry in mid-march for 5 days and 4 nights..this was my first foray into booking a vacation on the internet "sight unseen" and we were thrilled with our choice..there was not a single element that was not enjoyable...from the lush, beautiful landscaping as you enter the grounds, to the friendly staff, the beautiful pools, the lovely mediteranean architecture, the restaurants, the gym and, of course, the spacious hotel room with a great, great bathroom!...if i had to choose one area where the Fairmont Turnberry really excelled, it would be at the amazing level of service...we had an unforgettable time and look forward to the distinct pleasure of visiting again!

We came to this hotel as a package deal from travel website. When we looked for a quick vaction getaway, we wanted something that would be rated at least at 4 stars or above. The Fairmont really was an elegant and tasteful resort. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and beautiful. The staff was courteous and friendly. We loved the lagoon pool the best! Poolside there were round mattresses with an adjustable awning that was extremely comfortable! Some people opted to rent out the *- cabanas that were equipped with ceiling fan, flat screen tv and changing room. We also enjoyed the lazy river and water slides. We had a wonderful time, and can't wait to go back.

The location was great and very friendly. Charges for parking and a resort fee, close to $30.00 which we didn't know until I checked out. Beautiful hotel but kind of pricey. Be ready to pay $30.00 for parking per day and like $27.00 resort fee whether you use the resort facilities or not.

My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway. The resort was excellent, it provided all the amentities one could imagine. Two pools, one more tranquil and relaxing and the other more for the family or interacting with a water slide and waterfall. Also the resort offered shuttle access to its own exclusive beach that provided chairs and umbrellas that were set up by staff. They also offered a shuttle to nearby Aventura Mall, that offered wonderful shopping. There is a gym and spa on the grounds and an excellent restaurant in the building. You really don't have to go anywhere and for the men a world class golfing grounds. Really is perfect. I would definetly come here again and again. The only complaint I would have is that its a pain to get ice, you have to call room service to get which may take a while and the daily rate for parking is $17 but its expected. Lastly the concierge didn't know where to go party so if you are a young couple better to do that research ahead of time.

Arrive 7-4, asked front desk for an ethernet cable, one missing from hotel- never received it noticed small blood spot on pillow case- asked for it to be changed- never was coffee spoons were used, coffee pot was dirty no additional coffee the next day, no towels the next day, dirty toilet light switches, maid never cleaned spa tub. Beautiful hotel, great food, but the room left me with a little dissappointment. Also, I have contacted the hotel, they were sending a survey via email and regular mail, no email to date. this should be a four star hotel, not a five

They do not return your calls. I love the hotel, until the bad experience of losing my rent a car. They did offer to drive me places, but I felt I was at their mercy.

Just recently came back from celebrating my and my sisters birthday, this was part of our annual girls trip. The pictures and comments are on point. The resort is absoutely breathtaking. From the moment we arrived until the time we left EVERYONE we came in contact with at the resort and Beach Club were the BEST!! We were treated with royalty. Right across the street from the Avenature Mall which has the best shopping and restuarants. Previous reviews were correct regarding the daily valet parking of $30. We didnt't have a car because we were there to relax, but the clubs and some of the other sights are quite a distance. You can rent luxury cars at the resort, take an expensive cab or brave up and take the public transportation, which is right in front of resort or at the mall. This is a very nice upscale area, but not all parts or this nice, so take precaution. cab rides from MIA airport are approx $50 for 2 people. going around town via a taxi can be quite pricey. Again, this was our birthday week and they went out of their way to make us feel special, with little surprises and perks through out our visit. So much to do on the resort, you may not want to leave, but Miami is a wonderful place to venture into and the people or especially warm.

The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club is an outstanding place to vacation with family and friends. The new pool area with lazy river and water slide was a very nice touch. The ocean club, right on the beach, has volleyball, jet ski, and many other fun activities. The tennis facilities are brand new and very well-kept. Although I didn't golf during the stay, the courses look beautiful. The price for the room is very reasonable, the food is quite pricey..but not more than one would expect to pay at any high-end resort.

The amazing staff! The food and beverages were costly! This resort is wonderful in every way, from the second you arrive, you are greeted by the most professional and friendly staff you could imagine! Our room smelled a little smoky and we were moved to another room. Everything about the room was spectacular. The bathroom was huge and the room itself was spacious with a nice TV, sitting area, coffee/hot tea bar and all the closet space you could need. The restaurants were expensive and the drinks, while delicious, were priced too high. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and even took a turn on the lazy river. This was especially enjoyable with no children to look after. The hotel has a shuttle that will take you to their own beach club where a staff member will personally prepare your chairs, towels and umbrella for your stay. Also, you can have lunch and drinks out there too! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return, maybe with the children this time!

Was all we expected. Pool was beautiful, service was exceptional, my husband didn't like paying 30 a day to park the car but you get what you pay for.

This resort is a piece of paradise in North Miami Beach. The location is fantastic with Aventura mall (Bloomies, Nordstroms, Macys, etc) within walking distance, a private beach club in beautiful Sunny Isles and the most lush spa and golf course I've ever seen. Traveling with my family was a pure joy at this resort... the men all played golf, the women spa'd at Willow Stream (the best hot stone massage I ever had) and the kids played at the brand new Laguna Pool with a very cool Lazy River Ride and 4-story slide. The pool area should be mentioned even more since it provides sunbathers with individual and couple lounges and lots of umbrellas for coverage as well as a bar and grill. There is another pool that was also lovely but would be more suited for adults. The guest rooms were large, elegantly furnished with the finest amenities including french press in-room coffee to deluxe toiletries to their huge bathrooms with soaker tub and jets. My whole family raved about the bedding! I think the most incredible part of our trip was just being surrounded by such beauty and elegance. The landscaping, koi ponds and fountains were all breathtaking! The golf and pool views were equally as beautiful.... all this plus a private beach club... it is just the perfect vacation place! Great job Fairmont! Dining was also incredible with Bourbon Steak and their breakfast buffet.

The hotel was wonderful. Beds were so comfortable. Service was great. Only problem was the valet parking fee of $30 per day. They're private beach club was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel.

Stayed for four nights with my family and the facility is very nice. It is under construction, but not terribly so. Some of the older parts of the resort are a bit tired, but on balance this is a very nice place. The staff is very friendly, but for a hotel of this class I would say it is very weak (I have stayed in many top hotels all over the world). Examples - housekeeping knocks on the door at 8:30 AM new year's day, I waited 2 hours to have golf clubs pulled from the turnk of my car, waited 10 minutes for someone to take a drink order in the lobby bar, tables poolside take over 5 minutes to clear between parties, buffets were not set properly, etc. May sound small, but when the hotel is positioned as top notch, these things should not happen. On the positive side, the staff are all very friendly - more so than most places I have stayed - the room was spacious and nicely appointed, food was pretty good and the atmosphere is generally very nice. When we checked in someone was checking out and complaining - wanting a manager, etc. - and it was one of those moments you think "wow, what a PITA that person is". Staff checking the person out handled it beautifully. When I checked out, I almost had the same set of gripes, but kept my mouth closed and was happy to be headed home.

My wife and I went to Miami for our anniversary and wanted to be within a short driving distance to South Beach and the Miami nightlife, but also have privacy and relaxation. The Fairmont Turnberry Isle was the perfect location for both. Located within minutes of I-95 and Hwy 1, the hotel was 25 minutes from the heart of South Beach, 20 minutes from Miami International Airport, 45 minutes from the Everglades, and 25 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale - right in the middle of everything. Aventura is a very upscale area and my wife loved the Mall that is directly across the street from the hotel - loaded with upscale shopping. Only two complaints regarding the hotel - 1) terrible beach club 2) very expensive parking ($30 per day, plus valet). Concierge was very courteous, but not the most knowledgable or connected, so don't plan to rely on them for "inside information" or connections. All in all - great room, great pools (there are 2), beautiful golf courses (2 of those as well), great dining, and friendly staff.

The Fairmont is a very elelgant hotel with attention paid to every detail. Staff, whether you solicit their assistance or just pass by on the meticulously manicured property, engage you in very gracious conversation. Even the standard rooms are very well appointed with exceptional fluffy, white bedding. I was very impressed. The only thing I requested was a mini fridge-otherwise the room had all amenities. I had my 4 yr old with me and she enjoyed herself very much especially at the 2 pools-one with a waterfall & walk in/out end. The beach club is a bit lackluster in comparison to the hotel, but, it serves its purpose and staff did mention it is supposed to have a renovation. The breakfast at the Cascata is fabulous; a bit pricey, but, again worth the money being very elegant and my daughter's toast or pancakes I was not charged for. The complimentary shuttle also goes to Aventura Mall @ Bloomingdale's in addition to the beach club. This hotel will not dissapoint.

I loved the pools - both are very nice. The atmosphere is really relaxing! and the staff very pleasant. My only complaint would be that my flight left early in the morning and the valet was not readily available causing a little pre-flight stress to get the car.

I have stayed at many hotels of all ratings all over the world and only a few times have experienced a perfect stay and this was one of them. Everything went well, quick check-in, great room, impeccable service. Fairmont has demonstrated it is in the hospitality industry to excel, room design is great, with the layout and the amenities we felt right at home. Room service was fast and attentive, the staff is very well trained. Food at the hotel is terrific. Congratulations.

What a beautiful place this was. Everything that one needed and then some was right at your finger tips. I felt treated like royalty. The expert treatment was just what I needed to feel pampered. The grounds were beautiful and the resort was eco-friendly. I felt that there was no stone left unturned. Being able to use the facility on the day of checkout until our flight that evening was a great touch. I really felt that everyone there wanted us to enjoy ourselves to the fullest....and we did. Thank you so much online travel agency....you get an A+++.

This resort was grear, very nice...tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a vacation within a vacation. The service was great!!. Easy access to different areas of the city. They have all the amenities onsite if you didn't want to leave the hotel. I have definitely made this the place to stay when I'm in the Miami area. They knew me by my name after the first day. Very personable. The continental breakfast is excellent!
