We were greeted by a doorman, who directed us to registration and took care of our vehicle. Upon entering the hotel, we were highly impressed with the class and style the hotel had to offer. The service we found to be excellent! We would even call down and our car was waiting with the a/c on!... The room was VERY clean and comfortable and pure luxury, with a view of the beautiful pool area. Centrally located, walking distance to many fine dining. We were extremely impressed and look forward to visiting again! Thanks for a great time!!

We stayed three nights for a convention. The service was exceptional. Everyone attended to our needs. Room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Location was great-walked to shops, museum, University and theater. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This is our second holiday season in a row staying at the Fairmont-San Jose. It is our gift to ourselves! Day Spa wasnot open on Christmas Day! Oh well! We love staying at the Fairmont/San Jose hotel because of its proximity to Christmas in the Park in Downtown San Jose, CA. Also, the meat entries at the Grill restaurant are supreme! Room service is also right on time. Everything about the Fairmont hotels exude luxury!

Hotel looks great from the outside, but the rooms and service fail to meet with the hotels marketing as being the pinnacle of luxury and service... Old and dirty lights and bathroom fixtures, heavily traffic-stained carpet with some spill-stains, 4 half-inch holes in the wall where a wall-mount lamp or something had been removed recently, 15 dollars a day for intenet access... 6 dollars for a simple blueberry muffin from the 'breakfast cart'... now you see why i have the opinion that i do: Overpriced and Underdelivered.

The staff was pretty helpful. The hotel still needs some additional renovation.

The room was very large and extremely clean. The housekeeping staff tidied up twice daily. The view was great and the hotel was close to museums and dining. I was at this hotel for a business conference and the conference facilities were excellent as well. The Fairmont catered many of our events and the food was delicious. The service was excellent, too! All employees greeted me with a smile and salutation. Definitely will stay here again!

Paying for parking. Non smoking floor smelled like cigarettes. It was ok. We weren't really there for the hotel anyway. I did use the salon to get a massage, which was horrible. To park at the hotel you had to pay I think it was $18 a day. The bar/ lounge was nice and the bartender was pleasant and kept a good conversation. We did have some sushi from their sushi bar, and I would not recommend it to anyone it was gritty and did not taste fresh. Our room was nice, large, the bathtub did not hold water though and I was looking forward to a nice relaxing bath but that didn't work out so well. Being a smoker (cigarettes), and hotels being non- smoking is no problem for me, but our floor smelled so bad like cigarettes I mean it was STRONG and I smoke, so that means it must have been horrible for people who do not. Overall it wasn't worth how much we paid to stay there.

Have stayed at the Fairmont twice in the past few weeks. It is a fab hotel and accomodation cost is worth it. Can't say the same for room service/poolside service, minibar or especially breakfast. *** in the lobby bar is a gem. His night colleague could however take lessons. Check in staff very helpful and efficient. I'll be back.

The rooms are very quiet! The rental movies can't be paused, rewound or fast forwarded! We stayed on the 19th floor and it was very quiet. We never heard any kind of noise from the rooms around us. The room was very comfy - we especially thought the bedding was very, very soft. The lighted vanity area was great for doing my hair and makeup.

Marble everything. Parking. Staff goes out of their way to please, but attention to detail is only 90%.

Hotel staff was accommodating and eager to assist. We thought the bathtub would be marble and large. It wasn't. Great!

Very friendly staff, beautiful room and awesome view. I paid five dollars for a little box for Pringles. This hotel was absolutely fabulous! I plan on staying there again sometime soon!

I liked the atmosphere and location. No was no Jacuzzi or hot tub. Staying at the Hotel was relaxing and comfortable and met all my expectations.

They gave a choice of floor and building. The waiter in coffee shop had body odor. The hotel experience was very, very good.

Everything was elegant--from the appointments in the room to the lobby to the formality of the service. A nice treat! The only problem was that, after all, it's in San Jose, and there's not much follow-through feeling of elegance on the streets below. This was a great place to serve as the home base for many Silicon Valley attractions -- San Jose is full of museums and activities for families; this is probably one of the last places most families would think to stay, but it was terrific, the quality and novelty of the hotel made our trip much more special than it would have been in a "normal" hotel.
