The hotel itself is very elegant and charming, in the heart of it all! The beds were cozy and the rooms were spacious and comfortable/clean. Views were great. Also, there was a free trolley around the corner to take you to a village with shops and restaurants. Security was utmost as I was using a meeting room and they were sure to lock it daily when I left without me asking! All in all, wonderful hotel. I'd definitely stay again!

Choose this hotel for its location, return because of its exemplary levels of service. Also, every hotel is ""renovated"" now-a-days, but this one really improved the quality and experience of a guest's stay (especially the new beds). All in all, my stay was ""refreshing"".

We checked in with ease @ 6:00 on a Friday. However, everything went wrong after that. We had a booked King, Non-smoking. We were taken to a queen, handicap, next to the elevator. No closet, because of handicap room....just hangers & hooks. Upon my report to the front desk,we were told there were no rooms available, but they might be able to move us the next day. I called a second time & was put on hold....no one ever took my call. We were told to pack our bags & leave them for the bellman to move the next day. On Saturday a.m. we left for Brunch @ 9:00 to spend the morning in Dallas. We returned around 11:30 but no room was ready . After persistance on our part we were in a new room by 2:30 pm. The room never got completely cool. The Fairmont is a 4 star hotel but with 1 star service or should I say complacency!!There are so many hotels in the city that offer better service. I will definitely not return to the Fairmont!!!

Clean, plush room, great staff, close to museums and restaurants. Great place to stay! I will be happy to stay here anytime I return to Dallas. There is lots to do close to the hotel, and the staff is very nice.

Don't Book this Hotel - Worst Experience in all my years of business travel.I was in Dallas on business at the Dallas Market, made prepaid reservations through a third party booking - (like yahoo travel, expedia or etc.) and was told I had no room because the hotel had overbooked. The hotel front desk staff was rude, lied, and tried to relocate me 30 miles outside the city. This hotel used no customer relation skills and clearly selected the third party bookings to boot out so they could reap higher nightly rates from their own direct bookings. Thank goodness that my third party booking agent took control and secured another hotel for me.

Enjoyed the hotel. The beds were comfortable except I am not used to sleeping on feather pillows, so if you are not a fan, bring your own pillow. The room was clean and quiet, the staff was GREAT. Will stay in this hotel again!

A group of 4 of us stayed here in November 2007 for the NASCAR Race in Ft. Worth. This hotel was cheaper thhan most MOTELS in Ft. Worth area. The rooms here were comfortable and clean. The beds and bedding were also very comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel as the "west end" area of Dallas was just a few blocks away and we ate dinner there and also had a few drinks in the area. We tried to visit the hotel Bar but it closes at 12:30 apparently, even if there are guests waiting to be served. An additional 20 is charged to your room if you want valet parking, and I'm not sure about self parking. The highlight of our trip besides the race was visiting Dealy Plaza where JFK was assasinated. Is is a 4-5 minute walk and very interesting to be there.

The Fairmont Dallas was exactly what I expected...nice room, well trained staff, and decent downtown location. It would be even better if you did not have to pay extra for high speed internet access and if dining options on-site were more affordable.

The hotel went out of their way to meet every need we had. It was also very clean. You had to pay $21/day for valet parking. It was a great, luxury hotel. They even upgraded our room to a bigger one at no cost. They would call our room to make sure we had everything we needed. We had an excellent experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were very nice and updated. We were there for a weekend getaway. I believe 2 weddings occured while were were there. A huge California Swing Dance competition was also happening. Many people from the United Staes were in attendance. We will stay there every time we are visiting Dallas!!

The room was very nice, but that's where it ended. I didn't know until I arrived that the only parking option at the hotel was valet, which costs $21/day. Restaurants are EXTREMELY expensive. I had a bowl of soup, 1 drink, and a shrimp appetizer with 2 (two) shrimp and the bill was $33 WITHOUT tip. It wasn't even good at that. This hotel is NOT for the average traveler, unless overpriced restaurants and parking don't bother you.

Staff was great. Torn bed covers, price of service in bar/room service. Nice hotel, staff and service was great.

We stayed here for an event at the Myerson Symphony Hall in Dallas and were quite pleased. This is an excellent location, we were within walking distance to many of the place we wanted to go, or a cheap/short cab ride back after dark. The hotel is super nice, high end everything. We would stay here again.

My wife and are new Texans so we decided to get away gfor the weekend and see some of Texas. We decided on the closest city first, Dallas. We took in a Rangers game, the Dallas World Aquarium, Sixth Floor Museum, the West End, brunch at Tom Collichio's Craft and a WWE PPV at the AA Center. The great part of this iteniarairy was the Fiarmont was in the middle of it all. We drove to Arlington for the game and took a cab to Craft (we were in dress clothes and it was hot), but those were the only times we used the car all weekend. When we got to the hotel, we got the first of only a few unpleasantries out of the way when we found out parking was $21 a day (but what do you expect, the Red Roof it ain't). However we were able to check in at 11:30 when it was scheduled for 3 PM, which was awesome. The room was great, bedding was awesome, not a great view, but I wasn't expecting one. Only bad thing in the room was you cvould hear the AC water running contantly, but at night it was kind of soothing, so whatever. TV was awesome and bathroom was nice and spacious. The one thing you should do if you are Fairmont vigin like we were is enroll in thier FREE President's club. We got perks (free shoeshine, late check-out at 2 PM, instead of 12:30) all weekend and all it costs was 15 minutes before the trip. The concierge was helpful and already had pre-printed directions to the Ballpark which was very handy. The only bad thing about the probert was the pool. When we got there it had no towels (later remedied, the pool itself had stuff (more than likely crete myrtle, the stuff was everywhere up there)and the vaccum was in the pool (I'm pretty sure it was chasing me) but still relxing and a great location on the roof a few stories up. We took sahowers bot afternnons and a nap to follow, when we asked for more towels each time, the beds were remade and turned down upon our arrival each night. This place was fantastic and I can not wait to stay here again.

The convenience of downtown and the restaurant. The service offered by the valet parking staff slow to get the automobiles.

The hotel was very comfortable, the room was very big ,and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. If I have chance to go back to Dallas . I would like to stay in The Fairmont again
