Date of Stay:
April, 2009
We took walks on the beach but the temps were too cold for a dip in the Atlantic. We visited relatives nearby, toured Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, went hiking in near-by Jax Beach public park near marsh areas, played golf at Jax Beach public course, all short distances from location.

It was quiet and convenient. It had no bar. Good location, within walking distance of the event we were attending.

Courtyard Marriott in only thing between this hotel and beach. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was exceptional (fresh sliced fruit was really juicy). Definitely would stay here again.

We had a nice stay until 2 am the room next door got very loud. I tried to ask them to have some respect for others but that did not work. After 30 minutes I called front desk and they sent some one up. Obviously the damage was done. I asked the front desk to see if my neighbors would be staying for a seconded night. I asked what we could do toprevent 2 nights of no sleep and they offered to move me. She tried to move me to the next to the elevator since it was the only room on that floor they had? Gee I wonder why.I refused that so I got to move again to the third floor. My wife was not happy but the clek didnt care. I ended up staying a third night and asked for some concideration mabey a little break on the room price for all my trouble but that was not going to happen. The sad thing is my daughter will be going to college in Jax and the dont give discounts for that school. To bad every other holel within a 25 mile raduis does. Bad Idea

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and great internet service. A little pricy, not to be ocean front.

Great staff, clean, nice continental breakfast. Pool and jacuzzi was too small. Great location, Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Beach was just across the street, Good Continental breakfast. Only issue if you want to call it that is, the pool and jacuzzi were to small.

This hotel was by far the best we have experienced in Jacksonville Beach! The service was OUTSTANDING!

This is a great hotel whether you're playing tourist at the beach or looking for great night life. I live on the Gulf side of Florida and I was impressed by this 'Atlantic side'. There were lots of great places to eat and good clubs to hang out in after. Everything is wihtin walking or short cab ride distance, including the famous Freebird Cafe. The staff sent us to a great seafood restaurant that had fantastic seafood and it's own microbrewery. They arranged for cabs to take us everywhere and were very helpful in general. Would definetly stay here again.

Helpfulness of hotel staff and safe location. Nice hotel in excellent condition with very helpful staff and great free breakfast. Convenient to many things including Naval Base and Mayo Clinic.

There was a lot of construction surrounding the hotel. The room was very clean. The pillows were fluffy and the bed comfortable. Friendly staff.

The Fairfield Inn in Jacksonville Beach was well located, new and clean. THe staff was helpful and friendly--a really great place for a short stay. There was not much room to hang wet clothes or bathing suits, but beyond that it was great. The pool is small and located in the parking lot, not an oasis. The beach was great and right across the street, easy access.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Close to where I had to be. No bar. Nice location, two blocks to beach. No restaurant or bar, but plenty of those within walking distance. Free breakfast in mornings was very good, as were the free USA and Wall street Journal papers. Rooms were very nice. I liked the white bedspread cover, made you feel it was clean. Nice, quiet hotel.

The bedding was very comfortable. The pool area was small and the area at night was a little sketchy. Overall it was an excellent value.

The bed was unbelievaby comfortable. The location was great, just across the street from the beach and a nice walk to restaurants.

The bed had great pillows and a good, free breakfast. Really small pool. The hotel was situated across the street from the beach but you're allowed to use the amenities at the beachfront hotel. For the price, this hotel met or exceeded my expectations and I'd definitely stay there again if I went to Jacksonville. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites was spacious and clean. I'm very meticulous when it comes to the cleanliness of hotels and I must say I was definitely pleased with the room and entire facility. The bathroom and shower was large and had plenty of room. The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping department was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Fairfield has cured my phobia of staying in hotels! I will definitely return for another visit.

I felt that I was truly on vacation and pampered. Nothing. It was wonderful. Friendly and helpful and a beautiful place to stay. When I am in Jacksonville again I will not hesitate to stay here. Thank you it was a wonderful vacation. The first one I have ever taken and it will be a wonderful memory.
