The price was great for the quality of the hotel. There was so much chlorine in the pool it bleached my suit and I had to throw it away. The hotel was great. The staff was very helpful to us since we were not from the area. They walked us through how to get to the train station and what to do and to get our tickets. The room was very clean and looked great. Very nice how the pool stayed open late and the breakfast was pretty good, not allot of room but nice.

There are 3 words that come to mind to describe the experience of our stay - Service, Quality & Value. The hotel staff was very courteous & service minded always available & willing to attend to our requirements & concerns. Very well maintained & newer property. Good continental b/f & they have a convenient shuttle service to the airport & train station for commute to downtown NY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

better than average trip;good get away from too much visiting. hot tub was relaxing after long ride from boston. would stay there again when in new jersey.

Very clean, spacious rooms, shuttle service to train, mall, airport, free breakfast. Not easily accessible, barrier divides one-way street, no easy turnaround if you miss hotel, neighboring sprawling junkyard. Our room was very clean and spacious, with nice sized, very clean bathroom. Well-light, clean halls, very friendly front desk and other staff. Fresh breakfast of usual fare-bagels, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, fruit, juices, etc., attendant on hand to replenish as needed. Shuttle service was a plus to train station to get to NYC, and also to airport and mall-less stressful than driving on all the one-way streets.

Careful with the "free shuttle" as mentioned in the previous posting. Don't count on it; it is dependant on where the shuttle is at the time. It is shared between this hotel and the Comfort Suites next door. After a long day in the city, we called on our way back to have it meet us at the station. They wanted us to call when we arrived at the station. When we called from the station (10 minutes later), the shuttle had just left, on the way to the airport! We were told we were low priority, and it would be there in 45 minutes! Told us to take a cab...would not reimburse the cost of cab, nor adjust price of room! We called back 45 minutes later to check on the shuttle...it was on the way to the airport again! Clerk had the gall to tell ME that I was rude!!! The manager was off, so we had her call us that evening. She offered 25 off total bill...are you kidding? Less than 5%! Said she needed to talk to the staff, then meet with us. Hello? We are on vacation! We don't have time for meetings! Everything went down hill from there!! We were charged AAA rate 1 night, regular rate the others. The pool is about 15 feet by 20. It was crowded with just 8 kids in it. Maid service turned the thermostat down to 62 every day, didn't clean the coffee maker, and left 3 towels. No towels at the pool. It is actually 45 minutes to an hour to the city. Breakfast was outstanding, when you could get to it. Other guests were loading up and taking what they could. If you value customer service, go somewhere else, do not stay here!

My firend and I stayed here for a recent trip to NYC. We decided tostay in Jersey due to the high cost of hotels in the city. We found this hotel at a great price and it turneed out to be a highlight of our trip. The staff was very fiendly and helpful, our room was very clean (they even quickly cleaned one so we could check in early), and the location, though about 40 minutes by train to Manhatten, was excellent. The hotel is located about 3 minutes from the train station and there is free transpotation available 24 hours a day. We will stay here for our return trip next year!

The Fairfield Inn has a lot to offer for the price, I had no issues and was very impressed with the Hotel, lots of amminities, very freindly and professional staff.

The indoor pool was closed the entire stay. Clean and inexpensive but this hotel is too far out for a new York City traveler. Taxi fare from midtown was $140. Shuttle bus to Newark airport needs about a 40 minute prior notice. The staff said the train station was two blocks away but its actually about a 10 minute ride into downtown Rahway. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful.

While the hotel advertises itself as being only 8 mi. from the airport and near restaurants, the truth is the 8 mi. commute takes nearly half an hour and there are NO restaurants within walking distance. When shopping for a hotel for my stopover I weighed the availability of an airport shuttle, proximity to the airport, internet access, breakfast options, and price. For the time it takes to get to/from the airport and the lack of nearby restaurants I would recommend you avoid this location. Furthermore, I did not receive the wakeup call I requested, causing me to arrive at the airport just in time to see my plane back away from the gate. The hotel staff were completely unapologetic at their mistake and made no offers to expedite my travel to the airport or pay for a taxi. The time, frustration, and additional expenses I incurred as a result of choosing this location far outweighed the slightly higher cost of a room closer to Newark Liberty.

This hotel was fabulous...clean, staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Anything that we needed they were extremely accomodating. Our trip to NYC everyday was so totally convienent. The Hotel shuttle took us where we needed to go with no issues at all. To the Mall, to the train station to get to NYC, to dinner...where ever it was awesome. If I ever get back to NYC this is where I'll be. I strongly recommend it to a friend!

Very clean, well maintained, and extremely comfortable beds. The neighborhood, view of junk yard. Very well maintained property with open public areas and quaint TV room. The beds and pillows were the most important quality - excellent!

This hotel lives up to the Fairfield Inn name. This hotel was clean and looked brand new. The employees were helpful in letting us know about the free shuttle to the airport. The breakfast was great. There were so many options and the breakfast sitting area was fantastic.

It was very clean and the breakfast was great. Wake up call was 10 minutes late. I thought the hotel was in a great location, I felt safe and clean throughout my stay. The free breakfast was very good and the staff was great. I didn't have any problems with this hotel, would definitely stay here again.

We had a family trip of me, my fiance and my baby brother. The room was fantastic at its rate along with the fitness room and pool, there was also a hot tub!!!! Great staff, and very clean! Only 30 minutes from NYC which was very convenient for us!!! THeir continental breakfast was great, it was never ending food!! I would definitely reccomend tis hotel to anyone who would like to enjoiy the heart of New Jersey and also be minutes away from NYC!!!! It was definitely worth our stay!!

They had shuttles from airport to hotel, to near by places. Free complimentary breakfast. My experience was fabulous. There was nothing that I did not like. Fairfield Inn was located at a convenient location from Newark Airport. They have Complimentary free shuttles from airport to hotel and they arrive promptly to pick you up. The shuttle also takes to you near by attractions. Great complimentary free breakfast. Breakfast was just amazing with fresh bread, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, fruits, coffee and so much more. It was one of my best hotel stay.

An excellent stay in NJ. Great service from the staff. You can even make your own waffles for breakfast. Everything was new, clean, and in working condition. The road that the hotel is located on is under construction, not a problem in terms of noise, but it is a challenging road to navigate.

I like that includes breakfast and the pool and gym are always open. The breakfast room is very small with only a few tables. This is a very nice and clean hotel. I've stayed here twice and my kids loved it. The pool area is indoors (it really doesn't matter how cold is outside you can sure enjoy the pool and Jacuzzi). The breakfast is very fair and the location is ok if you are not planning to go to NYC everyday. They have shuttle to the Newark airport and is also close to the NJ turnpike. I really recommend this hotel.
