Close to downtown, friendly staff, very nice room, cozy fireplace, little bit small room for breakfast, but we didn't mind , we enjoyed staying.

Very clean, great location, nice room, nice balcony. Everything was fine, nothing to dislike. Pretty nice place to stay in Gatlinburg. Good location and very clean, nice rooms. We were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is one block off the main road meaning you don't hear the non-stop traffic but were close to activities and shopping. The hotel is literally next to Ober Gatlinburg and has great views of the mountains. The river is beautiful and below the balconies. The balconies hold two chairs. You can take the trolly (50 cents) that passes right in front of the hotel all over town or you can walk as we did. We felt quite safe at the hotel and walking around Gatlinburg. The rooms were very clean and kept that way. The jacuzzi is in the room, looks brand new, and larger than we expected. The gas fireplace was wonderful in the cool evenings. The hotel was sold out yet we didn't hear any noises from adjacent rooms. The room doors open to the outside rather than a hallway. Folks at the front desk were polite and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was standard fare. There is a small pool onsite, located by the parking area. It was too cold this time of year for us to try of course. Overall we like this hotel and would consider it in the future. I believe we will look for a hotel toward the middle of town next time to be closer to things. Having said that, finding a clean hotel with friendly service is amazingly difficult to find.

We wanted a short getaway and had not been to the Smokies for almost ten years. I researched the many hotels in Gatlinburg, and chose Fairfield Inn-Downtown because it was off the beaten path and out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, but still close enough to walk to the many attractions and restaurants. We were not disappointed with our selection. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and aimed to please. Our room was super clean - virtually spotless, and the private balconies overlook the river. We will return to the Fairfield Inn-Downtown the next time we go to the Smoky Mountains.

I was very pleased with the Fairfield Inn Downtown Gatlinburg, TN. The room was very spacious and clean, plenty of room to move around. The balcony overlooking the stream was wonderful! The location of hotel was one block from main street which was great--you dont get all the noise from traffic & the sound of the stream was so relaxing. Continental Breakfast was sufficient--enough for a light meal. Overall--very satisfied with my stay. Would stay again.

A beautiful clean room with fireplace and balcony over the river. This is one of the most beautifully located hotels in the Smokey's. The outside is deceiving. Inside the rooms are spacious and cozy. The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating.

Ok. I never write reviews, but I had to after staying here. Galinburg is an older town. Therefore, it was hard to find a hotel that was nicely updated. This hotel was great. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are spacious and super clean. I loved the view of the creek. Lets not forget the fireplace and jacuzzi is was a nice added touch. The continental breakfast is perfect. Its continental but it was enough. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small but thats the only thing. The hotel is in a great location. One block over from the main strip and across the street from the Tramway. Also, you have to eat at Benett's Barbeque restaurant across the street. The food is so good. I am a skeptic and hard to please. But I was very please with my stay.

Really happy with the room-very spacious. The fireplace was very cozy, especially since it snowed while we were there. The location was nice, within walking distance of downtown shops but still peaceful and serene by the water.

Great location. Balcony over river. Breakfast was not good. Very nice hotel room. The balcony over the river was great. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was not very good.

While this hotel does not appear extremely attractive on the outside, we found the location and room itself to be just about perfect for a weekend getaway in Gatlinburg. Rooms are clean, spacious, and all have balconies overlooking the water. Fireplace and jacuzzi in rooms are such a nice touch for a romantic weekend getaway. Walk to the main parkway for shopping, dining, and entertainment is less than five minutes, yet hotel is far enough off the parkway to remain quiet and peaceful. Extremely close to entrance to the national park which means no long wait in traffic through Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg to enjoy all the park has to offer.

Older motel style (outdoor room access) but everything was clean. Rooms needed a little updating (furniture seemed newer) but the gas fireplace was perfect after getting caught in the rain. Also, the view off the balcony of the stream was so peaceful and beautiful! Great restaurants and activities within walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a great anniversary staying here. Rooms were very clean and staff was great. Only 56 rooms so was nice and quiet. Balcony overlooked river. Nice pool. Breakfast better than average. Excellent value. Within walking distance of all downtown.

The fireplace and balcony overlooking the creek. Nothing. The location, comfort and view were excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Stayed at this hotel the last two years. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and I consider myself a very picky person. It was very clean and newly updated. The location is perfect! It is not too far away from the strip, but far enough to not be in the middle of everything. My only complaint is that the heated pool had not been opened yet, so we could not swim. Overall, GREAT HOTEL!

Hot tub and fireplace in the room. The continental breakfast was a little weak. Convenient to the strip. Nice view of a stream behind the hotel and visible off the balcony. My room had a Jacuzzi tub in the room and a fireplace.

Location. Having to enter room from outside. Great location. Exterior not too inviting, but the rooms are large and comfortable with fireplaces and river balcony.
