We were just visiting the area overnight but could see that there is much to do in the Decatur area. We had stayed in a nearby hotel once before but this one was really nicer.
Date of Stay:
October, 2008
Motel was clean and located in an area near a mall and several restaurants. Felt desk clerk wasn't concerned about guest safety. When we arrived at the room that was located on the 1st floor, facing the back of motel. The window was open; we could not get it to lock so we went to the front desk and the clerk came and tried. When she didn't think she could get it to lock she made the comment that it was not big deal, it didn't have to be locked. It was just my daughter & I staying there. The motel was very clean and located in a good area. Could have had a little more selection for breakfast we decided to eat elsewhere.

It's clean and easy to find from the expressway. Nothing really flashy about the place; just a usual hotel. Well they overbooked the King size rooms that I reserved, so they bumped me to a suite for free (which was nice). Though, the suite wasn't as nice as I was expecting it to be, but it was very roomy and spacious. The location is good, just north of I-72 and right off US-51 (Main St., Decatur) and there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity, as well as the Hickory Point Mall. Overall, this place is just your run of the mill, standard hotel. Nothing flashy, nothing notable, but they do a good job. They have an indoor pool and a hot tub.

Location, staff. Tub did not drain. Thought I would have gotten better price.

Clean and friendly. Rooms are a bit sparse in terms of amenities. Good clean accommodations.

This hotel is right in the back of the mall and this is great for shopping. Everything was nice, there was nothing I did not like this hotel. This hotel is great for travelers who wants to have a good time.

Location and setting were excellent. Large group of teenagers made excessive noise during the night. Other than the noise from other guests, our experience at the hotel was excellent.

The best hotel I visited in forever, I had a great time. I will visit again in the month of April 30. I liked everything. The staff was wonderful. I will recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. The hotel is in the heart of the town everything is right next door.

The staff helped out in everyway they could. There is nothing to say. Never have stayed in one but will try to stay in one from now on.

The rooms are extremely atttractive and the location is exceptional. Swimming pool needed cleaning. Wonderful experience! Arrived early and they made accommodations for my entire family before the printed check in time. The hotel is surrounded by moderately priced stores and trendy restaurants. The continential breakfast was well below my expectations but the cleaniness of the hotel made up for what it lacked.

Convenient to Decatur area. Very basic furnishings. The Fairfield Inn is a very basic, but clean hotel. The furnishings are motel basic. Could use more light at the desk and easier to locate outlets for electronics. The staff is friendly and the breakfast area is very nice. Overall, a good but basic hotel for a short stay.
Date of Stay:
April, 2005
The hotel was clean and within 3 miles of all the shopping I needed. There were no clean towels in the swimming pool. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, they had a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, which my kids loved making waffles themselves. Checkout was a simple as a bill summary slipped under the door, no need to stop and the front desk and sign anything.
