The hotel was well located, clean and bright. The staff responded quickly and with friendliness. Our family loved the options available at the included breakfast. The major drawback has to do with the very very soft bedding and pillows. If you like any firmness in your bedding or pillows, then you will not sleep well. Otherwise, the room was very functional.

The continental breakfast was great and convenient off the interstate. Unsure about the neighborhood it was in.

The hotel was very nice. It is in downtown and everything is walking distance from it (Clay Center, Mall, Movie Theater).

Free breakfast. Room was dirty, not a good location, didn't get the roomI asked.

My grandson has to have multiple surgeries, and because we live 8 hours from Charleston, we have to drive there after we get off work, which makes for a very long, exhausting day. I called to verify our late check in---the lady on the phone was very helpful, polite--didn't act hurried or impatient...When we got to the hotel, everything was ready--and we were so tired. The beds were great, and when we got up, having the continental breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day. We didn't hear other people in their rooms---no vaccums running at 6am, and we were just a short drive from the hospital. It was a very good experience and I will definitely book here again!

It was in the downtown area and close to the highway. It was a nonsmoking hotel but the hole county was nonsmoking in all public buildings so really no complaints. The room was nice the bed was comfortable the town was nice and half way home on my drive back.

The hotel was clean and fresh, and had recently been updated. I was pleasantly surprised by my entire experience with this hotel. My partner and I stayed there for one night, and upon arrival, it was clear to me that the hotel was new, or at least very recently updated. The decor was modern and pleasing to the eye - no outdated mauves and greens here. Nothing looked rundown or neglected or scuffed and worn. No, everything was bright, clean, and modern. The room itself looked and smelled clean and fresh, including the bathroom. The king sized bed was comfortable, as were the many pillows. The check in process was quick, easy, and friendly. The front desk clerk was helpful and provided directions to the nearby Town Center Mall. I felt safe there as a woman, and I felt safe as a woman with her female partner. And the breakfast! Hands down the best free hotel breakfast ever. Cereals, muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs, a waffle iron, fruit - it was a great selection and everything was fresh and delicious. The hotel is not in a particularly scenic area of downtown, so don't go expecting a view other than the parking lot. But we didn't particularly care about that.

The Fairfield Inn in Charleston is centrally located in the business district. The beds are the memory foam beds and are of high quality. The rooms offer internet but the internet service kept going on and off, which was very aggravating. There was an outdoor pool and hot tub area. They both looked nice but I did not use those facilities. They have a large parking lot with night time security. This is definitely a plus for this area because parking is scarce and most places charge for parking. Check in and out were uncomplicated and quick.

Great service. The bathroom in the room wasn't super clean. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the Charleston area.

Very friendly staff, beautiful amenities, very comfortable bed. Overall the hotel greatly exceeded by expectations! I travel quite frequently because of work & the Fairfield Inn was, by far, one of the best hotels that I've had the pleasure of staying at! I would recommend the to any friend, peer or family member!

Excellent location for Clay Center. Excellent heater. Sock in the floor. Dust around edges of room. This is an excellent location for Clay Center activities. Easy access from the Interstate and a short walk to the Clay Center. It was quiet and breakfast was good.

The staff and management where very helpful and kind. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to others.

Staff greeting and attention to detail at check in was superb. The downtown was hard to find given an array of one way streets. The hotel was accommodating and the rooms were clean. The interior of the hotel was recently updated. The wireless service in the lobby was easy to use. I would recommend this hotel as a business stop over or an interim travel stop (night over). Thanks to the Fairfield Inn and the fabulous Marriott attitude.

Good location. Was a little run down. Good place, walking distance from downtown. Run down a little and the pool is very small and outside.

The room was decent. The service was deplorable. The front staff was very rude. The hotel room was decent but the outside location and lobby was very dirty and old. It gives the impression more of a motel instead of a hotel. The front staff was very rude and did not use any etiquette. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean smell; friendly staff, breakfast options. Internet connection was down. It was an okay hotel to stay in. The room was clean & smelled clean. The bed/pillows were soft and comfortable.

It was clean and comfortable. Room was very cold when I arrived, but I remedied that quickly - not a real problem, some of the TV channels were "snowy" and not clear. Fairfield in Charleston, we were close to the downtown location I was visiting. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was good. It was close to an interstate highway on ramp. I would stay there again if I had the chance and would recommend it to my friends. My initial reason for choosing this hotel was its provision of internet access. By far it was eclipsed by everything else.
