Hotel clean and staff pleasant. Hot tub not very hot till last night of our stay and then was too hot to even get in. Great dining options within walking distance of hotel. Will stay there again when I visit family.

Excellent front desk help. Kind of strange that main entrance was in the rear. This is a great hotel for business travelers. We were only there for a single night, but everything was fine. We also had to rush out in the morning, so we couldn't experience the breakfast.

We stayed here over the holidays while visited relatives. Very helpful and courteous. Gret location for malls, restaurants, movies, and highway.

Indoor pool and spa were great! The lack of lobby space and only 1 elevator. The updated rooms with wireless internet and flat screen TV was a plus. The rooms were clean and well kept. The lobby was clean with plenty of chairs and the breakfast was good. The lobby space was too small for a hotel this size and the lack of an additional elevator. This meant that you had a long wait since you could only fit about 4 people in the elevator. Once you reached your floor the elevator was centrally located and you had to squeeze by other patrons in the narrow hallway. Other than that stated above we really had a great time and would love to stay there again. P.S. The pool was a hit!

I normally stay at the Courtyard Mariott in Columbus, IN when I visit Brown County but this year I was unable to obtain a room there, so we decided to stay in Bloomington. My expectations were a little higher because of the experience I had at the Courtyard and I was a little disappointed with the outside appearance of the hotel and the lobby and pool area. The room was clean and nicely decorated; it didn't have the normal hotel appearance. The bed was so comfortable that I wouldn't mind having one at home. The staff were all very helpful and accomodating.

The size of the room was adequate and the beds were comfortable. The room was not cleaned when we returned late in the afternoon. They offered to clean it, but we were relaxing and watching TV. The hotel is acceptable, but not great. The next time we visit Bloomington, we will look elsewhere first. There are other hotels that have better locations and nicer lobbies, etc. The lady refilling the food at breakfast Saturday morning was wonderful and friendly, wanting to accommodate us to make sure we were satisfied. She was the best part of our stay.

Clean, great beds, nice staff. Location from the heart of the IU campus. Hard to get a cab back. This is a very nice hotel and very clean. The staff was nice as well and they had comfortable beds. The only negative was the distance from the heart of the IU campus, but we were very satisfied.

Friendly courteous. Color of carpet. I enjoyed my stay and we would choose Fairfield again.

Breakfast was good. Our room was right by stair case 102 very loud. Overall experience was good but the stair case noise was unacceptable (room 102). Front desk appeared unconcerned.

Close to Indiana University. Room by the steps-noisy at night. Friendly staff, clean rooms, wonderful bed linens, extremely comfortable bed.
Date of Stay:
April, 2006
Queen size beds with so many pillows I didn't have to request extras. Nothing. Friendly, helpful staff, and loved loved the comfortable beds with lots and lots of pillows.
Date of Stay:
November, 2005
Friendly, professional staff at check-in. Main entrance should be more obvious/inviting.

Very clean, friendly staff and comfortable room. Great hotel! Very clean, nice rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great staff, good breakfast. Will stay there again!
