Location. Mildew smell. The elevator needs work, you heard water running when you were in the elevator and we were told there was a leak. There was also a mildew smell in the room and elevator.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast bar was poorly stocked.

Comfortable quiet surroundings located in close proximity to major highways. Not enough electrical outlets. The Fairfield Inn in Ashland, for what it purports to be, that is a economical and comfortable motel with pool, workout room, and continental breakfast, is everything it should be. Your connection to the internet is free, the coffee and the breakfast tastes good, the pool, although I didn't use it, seems clean and inviting and there is even a workout room. Staff is friendly and the location is well suited for the business traveler. Just close enough to the Interstate to be handy but not so close as to hear the traffic.

The hotel, room and pool was very good. The staff was friendly. I wanted to rent a movie and the box would not work, and the hotel did not have a replacement. This hotel was clean, the staff was courteous and I would recommend it to others.

Offered high chairs at breakfast; friendly. The renovations made it unpleasant at times. It was a nice, quiet, quaint hotel, and I would visit again. The renovations.

The staff was very helpful and the room was very comfortable. The pool was closed at the time of my visit. Great hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Extra friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find.

Good breakfast. Free use of computer. Indoor pool was not open. Good value, comfortable beds. Continental breakfast is pretty good. Friendly staff. AC unit was not working but was fixed in a timely manner (front desk clerk came up and smacked it and it started working again!).

Excellent staff. Pool under repair. Room warm when air conditioner cycled off. If you want a clean motel with comfortable beds and a very courteous staff, choose this one. It's a couple miles off the interstate, but worth the little extra drive.

Breakfast. The bathroom smelled. It was good for the price, but the bathroom was dirty.

We have stayed at other hotels in the area and always come back to the Fairfield. The "non-smoking" rooms were all obviously smoking at some time. They still smell when you walk in. The good points: clean rooms, dependable cleaning service, quieter than most we've stayed in, fridge & microwave in rooms, fast access to outside, simple floor plan. The bad points: not enough parking spaces, smoking odor in non-smoking rooms, overly firm mattresses, not enough respectable, spotty wireless signals.

My room was very clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay at Fairfield. The employees were very friendly and my room was clean, odor free, and comfortable. I will definitely stay again.

Friendly, clean, affordable, attractive decor. Could improve on continental breakfast selection. Great for family and business travelers. The pool area appeared to be very nice along with the whirlpool. The room was very nice and quite for sleeping.

Cleanliness. A little of the beaten path. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It provided us with easy access to Huntington. The room was spacious and well care for. I would recommend this facility to future travelers.

There were an indoor poor and a hot tub but the hot tub jets were broken. Dirty towels left on floor, cleaning supplies left in room, bed skirt dirty. I was overall displeased with this hotel. The bed skirt of one bed has something white spilled on it. We were supposed to get a USA Today each morning and didn't get even one. The maid left a dirty towel on the floor on Thursday (2/28/08) and spray bathroom cleaner in the bathroom on Friday (2/29/08). I voiced my concerns to one of the evening managers on Friday but did not receive a response. I believe I will stick with Best Western Rivercities for that area. Would be great if you had them on your list.

Excellent staff. Not enough power outlets. The room was next to elevators and ladies room. Great place to stay for the price.

New, clean. I could hear the people in the room above me walking around. Clean, attractive, small pool, friendly staff. Overall, I would stay there again.

Easy access to I64. Better selection of restaurants nearby. Very comfortable stay.
