great place to stay for richmond race weekend

Female travling alone. Location was safe. Overall it was clean. My only complaint was the sofa needed claening. I had a smoking room. The hall smelled smoky but the room was fine. Plenty of places nearby to eat. The room was a comfortable size. The furniture was nicely arranged. The heating was good. The bed was comfortable. Stove, cabinets, refrigerator all clean. I was in town to look at hotels for a family reunion. This place was great compared to other places that I looked at. If this site had the ammenities that I needed, I would select it for my reunion.

This hotel was great for location for the NASCAR race and it was quiet. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. We stayed two nights and the only criticism I have is that they didn't come in and clean our room or even refresh our towels or coffee supplies. Other than that it was great and would definitely stay there again next year. Great price too!!

Good kitchen. Dirty older room maid service costs extra. This place was okay for what it was but it was not a 3 star.

I didnt enjoy this stay at all. My husband & I stayed on the non smoking floor. The hotel smelled horrible. Even the hallways smelled like smoke. Not sure how they were rated a 3 star. Wouldn't stay there again.

For the money, you can get MUCH better at another location. It was just barely OK; so if that's what you are looking for, then OK. I will NEVER stay there again, nor recommend for anyone.

Clean, neat, quiet, nice room, internet. I liked everything - staff, room layout, etc. Excellent value for the money, easy to fine, very convenient to the Richmond West End, Broad Street, Univ of Richmond, etc.

Very spacious, clean room and extra linens were available, anything that you needed from dish soap to extra coffee the receptionist assisted. Nothing. Very close to main highway, access to grocery store was less then a mile up the street, restaurants are near by, convient store and gas stations are less then a block away, very good location, friendly and customer service is excellent with the receptionist or desk clerk, clean hotel room and very spacious.

The recliner! The treadmill was gone totally this time. The treadmill wasn't really industrial strength, but it worked okay as long as you didn't use incline. I guess someone must have tried incline again because now the treadmill has gone. There is a good bike and 2 ellipticals, but a good treadmill would be better.

The room's layout and kitchen. This time the treadmill wasn't working. This is a great hotel for people who want to bring/cook food while they are staying on business. It is, for the most part, quiet. There aren't a lot of people wandering in the halls talking.

The hotel was in a great location. The front desk clerk was very helpful, organized, annd dressed professionally. Everything was beyond my expectations. I enjoyed everything. The hotel and staff appearenace was nothing short of remarkable.The stay was outstanding. Keep doing what you are doing!

Clean, good water pressure in the shower, kitchen stocked with utensils and dishes. No continental breakfast, lobby was not very welcoming. The accommodations met my basic needs for an excellent rate. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the shower felt so good that I didn't want to get out. The location is great. I always stay in that area when visiting Richmond. I was taken aback at how cold the room was (it was about 40 degrees outside) when I first arrived. I had to leave and come back to wait for the heat to get going. Overall I had a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Very spacious, great ammenities, handicapped friendly. Carpet very thick in hallways, hard to roll on in wheelchairs. Overall, a great place to stay.

We enjoy the having the kitchen and refrigerator. The third floor smelled like smoke. At first we were given a smoking room on the third floor, the hallway of which smelled like smokers. The desk switched us quickly though to another floor and we had a nice stay. Breakfast was sparce and all they had when we went was a single apple and a single bagel for all four of us to share.

Clean room and location. Personnel. We stayed there on the first night and everything was fine. The following morning, we received a phone call (we were asleep) from the front desk. The man said we needed to checkout by 11:00 AM as they were sold out and they needed our room. I explained to the clerk that we asked for 2 nights stay. He said, sorry but we are overbooked and you must leave. He told my husband, just pack up and leave. She called the clerk and he was rude with her as well. She made another reservation for us at the hotel across the street so we had to pack our things and leave. It was very upsetting.

Clean and convenient. Front desk personnel was horrible. I have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting relatives. Never have I been so upset over anything in my life. I had asked for 2 nights and was called on the morning after our first night by the front desk (man) that we had to get out. He explained that they were overbooked. My husband went to the desk and the clerk yelled at him I do not care what you asked for, I am not discussing it anymore, you need to pack up and get out by 11 this morning. After we left our room, this man was no longer at the desk and an oriental girl explained that she knew nothing about it and she had our room pulled for that day. She made excuses for him that he was working double shifts and needed some time off. Frankly, he needs more than time off. He would never be an employee of mine. I have never been treated like this anywhere.
